Great photo studio for family portraits that has a wide selection of props. I used to go to this studio when it was located in the Puente Hills Mall for my dance and graduation photos, and I was always happy with how my pictures came out. My family needed to get our portraits done and so my mind immediately went to this spot. Made an appointment over the phone and paid a $40 deposit that went towards our session. Our photographer was patient and took multiple shots so we had a great selection. I opted for the 2 pose package which was $140 and included the digital copies. Without the digital copies, it would've been $100. No outfit changes were included in this package. We got two printed 8x10s as well. They have a changing room as well as a makeup vanity. The closest restrooms were located in the food court. Credit cards accepted. I'd recommend parking by the Nordstrom so it's the shortest walk. read more

My first impression was that they had a lot of resources to make sure my son was picture perfect; from lint rollers, hair spray, and a huge mirror for last minute touch ups. The staff were amazing! Devianna and her wonderful assistant were nothing short of patient and very professional from beginning to end. They were open to "Mom's" suggestions because they knew these portraits were part of an important milestone. I loved their vibe and the fact that they made my son feel comfortable and happy is what made our overall experience a memorable one! I am grateful that my son's high school collaborates with Viva Studio and I will be referring customers to them! Ally was super rude. First of all, she stayed in her chair in the corner the whole time since we walked in, to when we left. Every question I had, she pointed to the sheets that were on the table, and didn't explain anything to me. I literally had to ask about everything, because she wasnt helping at all. I even asked if they had a portfolio so i can see backgrounds, and she pointed to where its at, instead of having the decency to stand up and show us. Horrible service, i was super excited to come and take pics, but she totally ruined the whole experience. I cant believe she stayed seated the whole time, very unprofessional. read more

I paid $250 for graduation photos and unfortunately was disappointed with the experience. The photographer only took a few shots per pose, which gave me very limited options to choose from, and the overall customer service felt rushed and unwelcoming. One of my photos was so over-edited that my face was blurred, and although the staff corrected it, I expected more care for the price I paid. In the end, I only received four final photos for $250, which did not feel worth the value. read more

They also have a variety of backgrounds & props, there is something for everyone (especially since my husband can be particular) They were also very patient with my non- cooperative kiddos which made a great experience too. We found this place on Groupon, I called prior to purchasing it, and Deviana was very informative and helpful. Upon arriving to my appointment, there was a man by the name of Alan who was very unwelcoming and seemed annoyed that we had a newborn at 5 PM. Kept mentioning how they don't do newborns at this time and how we would have to pick less poses because of it. Even after I reassured him that when making the appointment they knowingly booked our newborn for this time. I read in the Groupon that they would allow us to feed the baby to make sure he's asleep, this was not the case. We were rushed the second we got there. I have never felt so rushed and unwelcomed. This guy hates his job. We were actually very interested in ordering a few photos and a few packages, but given the circumstances, we didn't even have that chance our baby was screaming the whole time, the photographer persisted on taking photos, even as I was saying we we will not be purchasing any of the Crying ones. Perhaps instead of him taking pictures of the baby crying he should've given us a moment to feed the baby. I kept trying to feed him and Alan was just there snapping photos, it was quite the annoyance. We were in and out of the photo shoot room within two minutes. Don't ever come to this place and if you do make sure Alan is not your photographer. I work in customer service and I know first hand how you're supposed to treat customers and this is not the way. On the other hand, the female employees that I dealt with were the complete opposite of him, so if you do decide to come here and give it a try, I recommend going to them. This was the only photo that we were able to get, and if you look closely, you can see by his body language. It was in the middle of a freak out look at his hands, and his nose is red and flared. All we needed was three minutes of feeding and the baby would've been asleep and ready for his photos, but we were not given that chance. read more

I called and asked how the Groupon worked BEFORE I purchased the Groupon, the lady said you need to make an appointment and you have to tell us you have a Groupon over the phone, then you have to tell us again when you check in or you can't use it. I said ok, I'm going to use Groupon and I want my daughter to wear a cap and gown they're for her graduation she said ok. Day of appointment I walk in and start filling out the paperwork and I think the owner a Asian male walks over and I tell him like the lady said to over the phone, I have a Groupon and without missing a beat he starts shaking his head like I can't use it. I had a feeling this would be an issue bc I read other reviews about this. I said why are u shaking ur head he said well did u tell them over the phone u had a group on? I said yes I did. He said well they shouldn't have made ur appointment on a weekend we don't accept Groupons on the weekend (this isn't stated on the Groupon) he then said well bc u have a Groupon ur daughter CANNOT wear her cap and gown in the picture (this is also not stated in the Groupon) he said u can purchase the "grad Groupon" and we can use that. I asked is it more? Confused bc I don't see the issue in using her cap and gown with basic backgrounds, he said no it's the same price as the one u purchased. I asked the. Can't u honor the one I bought? He said no. At this point I could see he was pissy bc I had a Groupon. He then asked how many pictures was I going to buy. I said idk I dont know the quality of your work and I'm not going to say I'll buy 3 poses and not like them. So I said I'll buy 1 pose he said on then we will take 3 pictures. Needless to say I requested my $40 deposit back, and I went to JCPenney (I also had a Groupon for that but the customer service was 110% better) I ended up spending $269.00 on top of the Groupon and I tipped the lady off the original price even tho she wasn't tacky and didn't ask for anything. She was patient and kind with my kids and the package I got was the middle package with all digitals. I don't recommend going to viva studio and I will be going to JCPenney from now on. Very bad customer service. They don't care for the customer what so ever. They don't accommodate. They don't help find a reasonable solution. I have never felt so degraded like how I felt when visiting this business. They wanted to charge $120 for 1 single digital pictures. They do not give the correct information over the phone and the in person service was so unprofessional. Very hostile vibes. We booked the appointment with a 40 dollar deposit. We we're running late due to the rain and we called in advanced to let them know that we were running late when we got there. They said that our deposit was not counted towards the photo session so it was additional to the $75 for the photo session and she did not think it was important to tell us over the phone. The lady in charge was super rude and has a smart mouth for every answer. Literally makes my wife cry. read more

It was supposed to be by appointment luckily they have a spot. Diviana was very accommodating. She did my baby's photos. She is patient. And tried some techniques to make my baby smile. I wish I remembered her name but she took pictures of my newborn and she was so sweet, patient and kind. It's people like her who were meant to be baby photographers. She has twins, so I don't know if that helps to pinpoint who she is. I called the day before and they were able to get me in the following day. My baby was 7 days old at the time. We got there early and she let us into one of the rooms to feed the baby and change him. Luckily she didn't have any customers coming in right after us so I felt like we were able to take our time and fully enjoy watching her capture some amazingly cute pics of our baby. I love how they set things up and put the babies in certain positions. I am obsessed with my pictures and cannot wait to go back and take more as he gets older. I'm so glad she got me to get the package. It just made sense. read more

So I would like to start off by saying I found this via Groupon (horrible idea) I called initially to schedule my appointment about 2/3 weeks ago. I get a call from the owner maybe 2 days before stating that the photographer was going to be late and if we could push the appointment back 30 mins, I agreed. Prior to I had spoken with the in store manager and she went over all their "policy's and procedures " I had to pay a deposit and if we were more than 15 mins late they cancel the appointment. We weren't late thank goodness. The day of there was no issues , the photographer was nice and good with kids. They make you sign a contract and it says that THEY DO NOT CALL to notify you when the photos are ready, but you have up to 4 weeks to pick up the photos or you loose your photos and money. So I FORGOT that they don't call, so I called to check on the photos today and yes, they have them. But the MAIN reason they're getting 1 star is because the in store manager got extremely unprofessional and rude on the phone with me, when I ASKED why don't you call ?? She immediately got lound and told me "this ain't that type of business " like she was ready to fight. I then realized her and I can't talk, and I wanted her name... she proceeded to HANG UP the phone IN MY FACE. She then shortly after text me from "the store phone number " and showed me the contract I signed that day. I text her back and will show the texts below. I NEVER cursed when speaking with her, and called the owner and told him what DEBBIEANA did, I only got her name because he told me. I disliked the fact that the school sent my daughter here for senior portraits, just by seeing their work I was disappointed. The photographer wasn't helpful with giving ideas on poses.What are we supposed to know when she's the "professional" here. Also photographer wasn't paying attention to detail and just going for it. I had booked an appointment with this studio to take pictures with the Easter Rabbit but when I showed up they were doing first come first serve, so there's no point in making appointments. I talked to an employee she said she we would be next but that never happened. The manager came out and was trying to help us but said the appointment does count but first come first serve. I asked for a refund but the manager didn't know how to do a refund and said he doesn't deal with the finances. I will never be going here, they are very rude. read more
