Best ever affordable lunch. Best deal in the area. This restaurant located in the grocery. This is a Hawaiian BBQ and Korean restaurant. We only experienced only the Korean side. We got the BBQ short rib lunch menu. This comes with 7 banchan. Very Korean style. The short rib is well marinated. It also comes with small chapchae. Overall the taste is excellent. We also got hot stone bibimbap. It has fried egg, beef bulgogi and more. The rice is crispy that next to the wall of stone bowl. This highly recommended. One thing unfortunately is the operation hour not last to late night. read more

Surprise surprise! Who would've ever guessed the best Korean food in OKC was in the back of this grocery store!?! A mom and pop grocery store w/ a mom and pop restaurant inside with authentic Korean food. We ordered: Beef short rib soup: good, comforting soups. Flavor was authentic, beef was very tender. Good portion. Short rib (dinner): flavor was good. Tenderness was ok. Spicy beef soup: had noodles, shredded beef, bean sprouts, egg. Good flavor. Mild spicy level. Bibimbap: good portion, some crispy rice on the bottom. Had beef, sprouts, zucchini, cabbage, spinach. Banchan: wow! What a spread for a little shop. There were 11 different kinds: kimchi pancake, burdock, sprouts, potato, pepper, zucchini, cucumbers, kimchi, chopchae, turnip, and fish cake! They kindly refilled whatever we wanted. The meal was served w traditional barley tea. Enjoyed this meal and the owners made us feel welcome. The restaurant is far from fancy but the food is good. The grocery store is not that big but well stocked with all your Korean needs and banchan and kimchi in the refrigerated section. read more

Where to start? This place is wonderful! One of my favorite restaurants in all of Oklahoma. Menu is limited and so is seating, but everything on there is basically like having a grandmother's homemade cooking. Prices are such a great value for the portions. The kimchi is A+. read more

A little gem in MWC - have been shopping here for over 25 years, through multiple owners. The kimchi is made in-house and is always fresh. The little restaurant on site often has kimbap and chapchae to go, or you can dine in. The store owners are very helpful and speak English well so they can always help me find what I need. We come here a lot for all of our Korean foodie needs! We live in Edmond and drive here. Thankfully we are moving to Midwest city next month. We will be able to shop here more often. We love coming here mostly for the freshly made jars of kimchi. We usually buy the cabbage kimchi, but their radish kimchi is just as good. They have a great selection of ramen and different types of dried noodles too. Chinatown supermarket has more ramen choices but we still buy from here when we come. When we go to checkout we always buy some mochi by the counter because why not? Mochi is amazing! You can't beat that pillow soft texture and red bean center! If you haven't been here yet, make plans to go. It's a small Korean market. The outside looks small and "ghetto" but the inside is full of wonderful and delicious surprises. For example, they have an amazing restaurant inside called Hawaiian BBQ serving korean foods. They have some of the best Korean food I've ever had. See my review for the restaurant for more tips. I like to go here for their ramen, and their produce section. Take a waltz down the refrigerator section. They have some great selection of ready home made food like Kim chi (the best in town), banchan side dishes, and my personal favorite, squid ready to serve! Soooo good! Everything is perfect. I like to buy these and cook some warm white rice and viola, I have a homemade meal and don't have to cook! I love their vast selection of ramen. You can't go wrong with Korean ramen. Sooo good! I love the little sales they have but you have to go in to see what is on sale. The owners are delightful and so kind! They do take credit cards so you can shop til you drop. The drive is far for me but I love going here and making a trip out of it. I recommend them to all! read more

I went here first and thought it was great, super satisfied. So i tried another place and was severely disappointed. If I'm ever back in town, i will for sure revisit. I love a hole is the wall restaurant. So you have that toppled with it being in the rear of the Korean Market. I've eaten here a couple times before just finally deciding to review. I ordered the mixed plate to go. And for 6.99, it's hard to beat quality and pricing everything tasted good. Beef was seasoned well, chicken had a nice bbq char on it. The meal also came with rice, kimchi, sprouts, and veggies. Very satisfied with today's lunch. I personally like the crowded setting inside the market and should go back more often. read more

The Midwest/Del city area is always full of Korean businesses and I love it. The main reason why I go to this convenience store is because they sell matcha green tea powder, specifically for baking. They're the only market that has this item. I use to order the powder online from California, until I decided to actually go out and find it. This grocery store looks completely messed up from the outside. Don't let that fool you though! They have such a a huge selection of Asian foods and items. They even have a little restaurant in the back called Hawaiian barbecue. The food there is really good! I love the Hawaiian canned drinks and I can't find them most places but they sell a huge selection here of those drinks. They have all kinds of electrical items and toys. This place can be best described as a sprinkle of all things asian. It was like treasure hunting in the midst of a dishoveled store. If you can get past the messiness you'll love what you can find here. This place is defentily one of those places that you shouldn't knock till you try it! This is my favorite Asian market in OKC. I drive about 25 minutes twice a month to purchase their fresh banchan in the refrigerated section. I fill up the cart so it lasts me two weeks. They have top-notch kimchee, sprouts, radish, etc. They also have all the other standard items you would expect at an Asian market: sauces, candy, sodas, etc. Besides the standard grocery store, this is the only other guaranteed "grocery" stop I make on a regular basis. read more

(Those expecting Whole Foods will, I assure you, be GRAVELY disappointed.) Delicious, homemade kimchi here? ABSOLUTELY! (This part alone makes it worth the drive to an exceptionally ugly and even somewhat dangerous part of Oklahoma City. I love this place! I've gone here to go grocery shopping before and it's super low key and cute. Their prices are not too bad for asian groceries, just that they don't have a huge selection. But it's good if you want to grab Korean/Japanese specific packaged items/cook materials. I went to try their little restaurant for the first time the other and it was great! Prices are fantastic at around $7-10 (unless you get meat dishes which can run up to $15 ish) but their quantity is good and their flavor is good. Their banchan is also good! They have the ones I like (at least when I went), which is kimchee, bean sprouts, cucumbers.. Great hidden gem! Will definitely return. I'm not from Oklahoma, but I looked on yelp and it brought me to this little market near my hotel. The place is small but the people are very friendly. Many didn't speak English but that shouldn't be a problem if you're patient and just use hand gestures. Overall , it's a great place to pick up Asian snacks. It might seems somewhat disorganized, but if you look around, it actually carries a lot of different Asian items. What a great find. I love this store! It's got a ton of not only Korean foods, but also anything from almost every Asian country! The sweets are my favorite though - chocolate-covered shortbread cookies, sweet bean paste pastries - things that you just can't find elsewhere. Lots of spices, soup bases, ingredients to make your own delicious recipes at home too! And to top it all off, the people who run it are warm, friendly and very welcoming! read more

Definitely a fan!! I believe this is the same place as Hawaiian BBQ?? All I can tell you is one thing: If people of the same ethnic group as the restaurant eat there, then it is probably as authentic as it can get for whatever region you are in. The slices of meat are thicker than I have had at most places. Some Korean BBQ is slices the beef so thin it's like shoe stings. I am stuffed for on $7. Probably take it to go next time as the seating is limited. but the service is fast and the food is fantastic!!!! read more

I love this place! I live in Del City and this is the most convenient place to get Asian ingredients. This is a family run joint, so don't expect a giant supermarket. Surprisingly, they carry everything I need for my Thai and Japanese recipes. The restaurant rivals any other Korean restaurant in the area in terms of genuine quality Korean food. Great lunch time fix if you're craving asian. I love the Melona ice cream bars they sell here. Hard to find anywhere else in OKC. My family can't keep the ice cream out of their mouths. read more

Just moved to OKC and was hoping to find a nice Korean store that Im used to with store made kimchi. Ive been to El Mariachi and the Super Cao Nguyen and, though they're pretty huge, they have the shipped kimchi which isnt quite as good as a store's made kimchi. Ok Ko Mart not only has amazing kimchi, they also have a small restaurant in the back which makes delicious food. The looks of the restaurant isn't too appealing, but the food makes up for it by far. I had the kimchi chigae (kimchi stew) and my friend had the bibimbap. Both tasted incredible and reminded me of my grandmother's cooking. Im really glad I found this place and I can't wait to go back. read more
