Oh Trader Joes. A little disappointed by the decline in quality and ingredient integrity over the past 8 years. I would say this grocery store is better than Uptown, Kroger or any of the "General Mills" chains. I still like the OG TJ's better than the cheap short-cuts and ruthless business practices they have now. It only means I've moved a majority of my shopping to Whole Foods and Costco. Now this location - The staff is so helpful and friendly here. I really like they offer buckets for flowers - they have a great selection. Personally, I find the berry produce to go bad very quickly. Still find great quality & low prices on meats, cheeses and produce! I buy canned goods and sauces here too. They offer a great selection of wine as well. My dog loves their chicken treats. Over all - great shopping experience, fair prices and good quality. Just don't let the parking lot experience ruin it for you. Most Nichols Hills parking lots make you want to tear your hair out. read more

I love everything about TJ's, except the parking lot! Ha! TJ is affordable and has high quality items. I have a few staple foods I like to get but also love their facial products and dog treats. If I like a seasonal item, it's stock up time because it may not come back later. The parking lot is busy and tight for parking. I always love coming to Trader Joe's because they have a lot of unique items for beauty/personal care and food. They have a lot of really good frozen dinners that look high-quality and they have a lot of organic options as well. Had a bit of their frozen foods and pretty much all the Asian dishes are amazing. One of my favorite chips is their lentil curls. I love getting that. I pretty much can eat that whole bag on my way home. They are so delicious. They usually have all of their cashiers open, which is nice. You can usually get in and out pretty fast. They also have a lot of really interesting things around the holiday time. Around Thanksgiving they have a delicious maple popcorn that's bomb. I wish they would open one in Midwest city because I would go literally weekly. I have never visited this location, so I was excited because it's maybe a little bigger than Tulsa's. Parking is just as chaotic as the Tulsa one though! I popped in for some snacks and wine pairings for a girls weekend, and I found almost every item I wanted! It is more spacious in the aisles than Tulsa. Staff were super friendly and quick at check out! I'll definitely hit this location again when I'm in need of my TJs fix. read more

I sometimes feel like I have a love/hate relationship with Trader Joe's. I love some of their specialty items but I hate the parking situation (which seems like a universal problem) and the crowds. At least the aisles here seem a bit wider. I went in specifically with a list for some crazy snack wine pairings. I found all the snacks but had a harder time matching my wines. I have shopped this Trader Joe's about four times previously, but never have I seen it as crowded as it was today (today is a Sunday). The frozen food section was two thirds gone and some items I came in to buy specifically were completely wiped out. I have never seen a Trader Joe's look so barren in multiple various aisles. I was surprised - is it shipping difficulties from suppliers? A too big of a population of shoppers for one location? Even when I was served at the register, the male cashier did not greet me or acknowledge me - his female bagger pointed this out to him in a low voice right in front of me and he actually said, "I'm tired, I don't feel like it today." He did finally thank me for shopping there and put my receipt in my bag without giving me the choice if I wanted it with me or not. Really subpar service from a Trader Joe's. After years of great experiences in numerous other Trader Joe's locations (even during the Covid pandemic!), this one is shocking. Trader Joe's can't build the new store on 6920 NW Expressway fast enough. I hope the cashier remains at this location. read more

You either love it or hate it. The first time I came here I couldn't stand it. I had no idea what they were trying to do with their products and didn't go back for 6 years They don't have many groceries in comparison to a regular grocery store but they have so many items. Everything has their name on it and seems to be produced specifically by them for them(fubu) but they have a few name brand items that other grocery stores carry The location is super cool with lots of in/out but it gets cramped fast. When cramped; remaining on the perimeter can help if you don't mind a very short walk, but get up to the front of the lot if you want Checkout is always fast even if there are lines, and its crazy how they can have all registers open and still have lines; they are that busy sometimes. They put people on the registers when it's busy, and they do it quickly and efficiently. Other stores can learn from TJs standards They have so many unique items at different times of the year, and I'm always finding something new when I go in even if it's a product they've had for years read more

I have easily spent over $20,000 at this store in the 3 years I lived there to care for my sick mother before she died. The staff and management always tell you "just buy it and if you don't like it we will give you your money back." Well this is a lie. I had recently tried to return a box of unopened, unexpired, perfect condition dry goods and they refused to give me my money back or a store credit. They made me wait 20 minutes while they were trying to come up with any reason not to honor their word. I finally left and left the box with my email address. I never heard back from them. read more

My second visit in 2 days! Yesterday was my first visit to this location. My kids pickup stuff i.e dips, chips, beer and wine from here often. I was in the area and hubby and I stopped. First impression it's a small store, it's packed and parking can be an issue. It's the time of year (winter) when the shelves are nearly empty but I found a small cake that was delicious and eaten in one day hence the reason I'm back today! It's a small cake y'all and my husband ate most of it! The check out process was smooth and cashier very friendly! Overall a good stop. No clue why I love this place so much but it's my Saturday go to after lunch w my family. Best time to go is around 6pm. If you during the day, it's super busy and parking is a pain. I love the tulips, the dips, the brown sugar creamer, pineapple salsa, the edamame fried drive, brioche bread, cheese aisle, and the chips aisle. Literally everything! Ugh. The staff are always so nice and fast. I never have to wait long. The inside is always clean and very well stocked. If something is out, an employee never hesitates to go see if there is any of what I'm looking for in the back. I truly appreciate good customer service. I have been shopping at Trader Joe's for the last 18 years (not at this location obviously) and when it came time to move, I had it set in my mind that I can only move to a place if there is a TJ's within a reasonable distance. Hence I am a forty minute drive away and usually come on weekends. I don't care if gas prices are high right now. Shopper Beware - this store is insane during the weekends, even on a Saturday night. The parking lot is not very big but the location in Nichols Hills is elegant. I really hope they see the demand to open another OKC metro location.My main enjoyment from shopping at TJ's is not just the products, it's the reasonable prices, the customer service and the design that allows you to shop a wide variety without being overwhelmed and having an easy exit strategy. During college I had to study Trader Joe's for a business marketing class and let me tell you their business practices are top secret and not easy to research. I will tell you this: Customer Service is a big top priority. If you ask a team member where to find something they will actually stop what they are doing and walk you to the product. It's a personal touch and it shows that you are a priority. If you ask about a product but are afraid to try it they are allowed to open one and give you a sample (granted this was before CoVID so this may not be a practice any longer) However, at this location what really surprised me the most was when I randomly burst into tears in the store during the holiday season because my mom had recently died, a staff member stopped to talk to me and even gave me a flower after I paid for my groceries and walked out. After living in Seattle and Socal, it's crazy to me that there's only one TJ's in OKC! So of course I wanted to visit this one! It's pretty much like any other TJs I've been to, and the employees I interacted with were friendly and helpful. TJs always has the best snacks, and I especially love their dairy free ice cream selection and dried fruits. I will definitely be returning, and I hope they continue to expand throughout OKC. read more

I absolutely love Trader Joe's! They have some of the coolest and unique snacks and treats. Their prices are very competitive and their produce is always in great shape. My favorite part of visiting Trader Joe's is looking at their plant selection. They are always bringing in new selections and their prices are unbeatable. I almost forgot how much I missed shopping at Trader Joe's! They're all over the place on the East Coast, but I just wish this location was in a better spot. If you can get past the parking and traffic of Nichols Hills, you'll be fine. If you're new to Trader Joe's, it's as if Whole Foods and Sprouts had offspring, lowered the prices a bit, but also narrowed the selection down. You can find vegetarian and vegan items at affordable prices here. The tempura cauliflower was life changing, you have to try it! They have several options for mock meats and vegan cheese too. The frozen and snack aisles seem to be the most diverse with the best bargains. The only thing that gets me is organization. If you haven't shopped there before, it can be a little confusing finding what you want. The aisles aren't really labeled and you'll find non-frozen items shelved above the freezers. Keep in mind this place gets very crowded on weekends and even the last weekday afternoon I went here it was quite busy. This Trader Joe's is also smaller than most locations I've seen on the coasts, but hey, it's Oklahoma, you can't get too greedy... Selection is somewhere between Natural Grocers (minus the supplements) and Sprouts (noticeably smaller produce section and less aisles overall). One final thought is that I've had very friendly cashiers during all my trips here. That has really made a positive impression! read more

OKC finally has a Trader Joe's! I've missed shopping there ever since I moved here. So I'm really REALLY glad that I get to stock up on all my favorite goodies again! :) I know it's more of a so-called "health foods store" but... I typically stick with the junk food because it's phenomenal! Their cookies, chocolate, snacks, desserts, candied/dried fruits are SO GOOD! I just can't help myself. The frozen foods area is great because it's filled with quality flavorful meals that you really can't find at other stores. The meat and cheese areas have a wide variety to choose from. And the flower section at the front of the store is beautiful and reasonably priced too! I started a Whole30 diet today and came here for food..the Italian chicken sausage is delicious..made with only a few ingredients and spices. Hopefully Oklahoma will change its liquor laws so Trader Joe's here can sell wine The cashiers are super friendly and will take your cart full of food and bag them for you (like the old days, lol). It's a Trader Joe's in OKC! It's almost everything you expect from Trader Joe's: great prices on a varied selection of fresh, (often) organic, (sometimes) free-range, (preferably) grass-fed dairy and meat options. They have some tasty frozen meals (I'm a big fan of their Indian offerings), snacks and cookies, great variety of fresh flowers, and more! What you (kinda) don't expect (and what breaks my heart) is that one of my favorite wine and beer grocery stores has NO wine and beer selection--thanks, Oklahoma antiquated liquor laws. Shopping at Trader Joe's is always an adventure. They have a relatively small grocery store footprint and there's usually massive amounts of people shopping at the same time you are. Another note, a lot of their offerings are their own Trader Joe's brand. If you like great big wide aisles, a smattering of traditional Kraft Food, Green Giant, and General Mills products, this may not be the grocery store for you. Perhaps it's best to think of this a specialty grocery store--more like Sprouts, less like Crest. They have predictable hours 8am-9pm every day of the week. Their staff is friendly and willing to help. If you haven't ever been to a Trader Joe's, you'll be in for treat, if you're accustomed to shopping at TJ's in other states you'll miss the amazing beer and wine section, but be happy many of your other TJ favorites are now only a few minutes drive away. read more

Trader Joe's is hands down my favorite grocery store in the OKC Metro. Honestly, it's my favorite grocery store chain in the country. The price, selection, quality and customer service absolutely can't be beat. There are things that TJ's carries that we can't live without in our house. Their seasonings, cooking oils, wines, and cheeses bring my husband and I here at least once a week. They also have excellent and inexpensive produce selection. We also regularly grab meat, like fresh chicken legs and thighs, and their delicious carne asada for street tacos. Everything we've ever gotten from TJ's has been sooo good! Trader Joe's is also a great company that I feel good supporting. They pay their employees a living wage, with benefits. And that makes me really happy. read more

We actually love TJ's and the service is always great but today, my fiancé went in to buy a case of our favorite TJ's sparkling wine and had a bad experience. He asked for an unopened case of it and the manager was very uncooperative. He would not help him and told him to just get another wine box and fill it up himself! The problem is that you can't fit 12 bottles of champagne in a regular wine box. It doesn't fit. So they sold him about 9 bottles when they could have sold him 12. How is that good business/ customer service? read more

She had a bagger at her station. No greetings. Nothing. I have to come here bc I'm gluten free and this store has the most options for me. My family has always enjoyed Trader Joe's. I learned today that the location of this store is in the same building where there was an older grocery store from many moons ago. I agreed with my friend who told me, that is pretty cool and they could not have chosen a better store to go in its place. It's always a mad house on the weekends or in the evenings when people get out of work. I feel this store is a little tiny. I do like the diverse selection of products TJ offers. They have a wonderful floral section usually when you walk in the front door, a good selection of wine and beer that is both tasty and not too expensive. I cannot say enough about this store. My first Trader Joe experience took place on the west coast years and years ago when I lived in Nevada. When I found out Oklahoma City was getting one, I was over-the-moon! I always find things I've never seen before and I always find this amazing eclectic assortment of specialty foods, spreads, jams, cheese, bread, wine and quick fix dinner items. Tonight I was desperate to get the riced cauliflower fried rice - AMAZING. Truly one of my most favorite things. I found a wonderful hotchpotch of goodies, including scallops and mushrooms, pumpkin goat cheese, spicy Mexican riced cauliflower, some amazing cheddar, Focaccia bread and other delicious things. And, of course, had to get some Trader Joe's Cookie Butter which is one of the best things on the planet. If you haven't tried it yet, you've been living under a rock and owe it to your tastebuds to get some - go! Get some right now. I'll wait. :) When we got home my husband was pulling the bags out of the car when the handle on the paper bag broke. Out came our olive oil and GASP - my precious Cookie Butter. I called Trader Joe's and asked if I could replace those two items. Without any hesitation the sweet gal who took my phone call apologized for the ripped bag ( not their fault at all - my husband sometimes thinks he is the reincarnation of Hercules and was lifting three bags at once!) and welcomed us back and offered to replace them. She was so kind and didn't make us feel like dummies and when we returned to the store for the oil and cookie butter, they were so accommodating, warm, and for the first time ever, I experienced an encounter that did not feel like a consumer/organization relationship. It was like friends. Family. It was all the warm and fuzzy feelings that accompany a wonderful experience with people that you feel like you would enjoy being around outside of the store. I cannot recommend Trader Joe's or their fantastic staff enough. If hugs were allowed and welcomed, I'd definitely hand them out here. The people...those staff members made me feel at home and made the experience so much more than simply picking up groceries. I can't wait to go back! read more
