Just called in with a simple question.....what is the cost to install two tires? Sizes are 38x15.5r20. First Reg Flag for me was 'Did you get the tires from us? ' Second Red Flag was 'They cant give a install price without seeing the tires.' Third and Final Red Flag 'We will have to install based on our hourly fee of $144. I then called Tires R Us in Portland and they installed for $50 a tire. Night and day customer service and prices between the two.They couldn't even provide a price which for a shop is abysmal. read more

I have them lift 2 trucks for me and Chuck spent time with me each time and explained the difference with lifts and gave me a recommendation on which one I should go with. I could not be happier with the ride afterwards. After my dealer rotated my tires I had a slight wobble in the steering wheel so I went to OK4WD to check the balance. While in there they check the suspension also to make sure everything was good. I have to say Scott and the service tech went beyond my expectations. They found my UCA bushing have worn unexpectedly with very low milage on them and are submitting a warranty claim into the manufacturer. While there I ask to look at my front brakes because my dealer where I get the truck serviced told me I am going to need brakes very soon. Scott told me they were only half way worn and they were fine for now. This just showed me how honest OK4WD is. read more

TLDR, Only come here if you're an off road noob, have 0 time, and need below average work done on your truck, that you will likely need to have to call them back and get restitution for. This place has a lot of unnecessary overhead so that's why they are overpriced. Lots of people walking around doing nothing chatting nonsense and they got some massive office space upstairs for 3 total slackers haha, these guys are NOT busy people, very island vibes of the floor going in of dudes just walking around only talking. The only guys actually busy and doing work are the garage techs that you can see through the window from the retail floor. Finally writing a review because I only had a chance to check their work after un-mounting my beadlock wheels that they mounted 2 years ago. The shop took 6 hours to get them mounted. This week, after taking the old tires off it was painful to see they did not seat the bead correctly (rubber was not fully pushed behind the rim lip before putting on the beadlock ring therefore causing bad balancing, which is why I now understand why one nice man gave me some BS explanation when it came time to pay $500+ as to why some of the wheels had to use excessive balancing weights because they were "chasing the balance for a long time" as an excuse for them not balancing perfectly. Yeah your tech is chasing the balance because there is rubber in parts of the wheel where it SHOULDN'T BE). They're careless or don't know how to mount beadlocks I am genuinely laughing out loud just writing that. If you're a pro with pro equipment does it really take 6 hours to mount and balance 4 tires? No. If they can't mount beadlock wheels correctly, why should anyone trust them with a re-gear or electrical work, etc...? This was originally a 1 star but upgraded to 2 star because everyone there is nice and courteous except for this one rude younger guy that is mad at life missing his frat bro days that they had working the counter. read more

Even when my Jeeps are in other shops getting worked on if I have any questions I call them up and they give me a straight forward answer! (Extremely helpful ) I had my lift installed by then roughly 3 years ago. I was new to the "Jeep World" or "Jeep Community" at the time. I had no idea what was considered a good brand for lifting my Jeep. They recommend me AEV. Thinking to myself "woah that's a little pricey" they helped work out some deal, and in the end got me a great price. (My AEV lift rides smoothly and comfortable. I have the 3.5 full kit) They do oil changes, tire rotations and much more for me now. I wouldn't recommend a better shop to help you modify your Jeep or truck for a great price. I live over two hours from OK, but I wanted to have a lift installed on my new Grand Cherokee and I wanted the best to do it. After shopping around locally, I decided that driving the extra distance to have it done right by the shop that also sells it and deals with the process day in and day out would be worth it. After setting up the appointment and ordering all the parts (lift, tires, etc) I drove up from Delaware. After driving more than two hours, I received a call that my parts were not at the shop yet. I explained to them that I was nearly there and they said to come on in and we'd work it out. The Service Manager made some calls and tracked down my parts, informing me that they were on a dock in Allentown, PA and knowing the distance I drove, they'd be willing to drive to pick them up and still get this done today if I didn't mind waiting. I had brought my work for the day with me and planned to work all day from their lounge anyway so that was the plan. Their service staff was extremely helpful and kept me updated throughout the day, even offering to pick up some lunch when they went out knowing that I was stuck there all day. I asked the technician during lunch if we'd get it done today and I'll never forget his reply: "I'm here until the job gets done as long as you can wait for it." That is why I drove 2 hours and why I rated OK 5 stars. That is what being in business is all about. When the job was completed. the technician took me around my "new" vehicle and pointed out all the things I'd need to do as a follow on and because of my extended stay that day they threw in a T-shirt as a token of appreciation for my patience. Bottom line is, something went wrong, they took the necessary steps to fix it, and identified with me as a customer that was committing a great deal of time (and money) that day. I'm just getting into off-road and have started to work on my '12 JK. The guys at OK 4WD are great. They are super knowledgeable and supportive of helping you learn what you need to make smart decisions about the build of your vehicle. Knowing that I'm new and a girl they could have tried to talk me into coming into the shop to let them handle it. Instead they liked my desire to install the gear myself in my garage at home. If you're gonna do it - DO IT! I worked with them to order what I needed and rather than send it group UPS, a guy from the shop loaded it up in his truck and drove it to my place in Jersey City. He was a genuine good guy. We unloaded the gear and chatted about what I was getting into. He gave me a few pointers, waved, and said' "have fun!" My buddies and I got to work later that night. We had a blast and even more fun hitting the trails. My only complaint is they gave me a t-shirt for a bigger person, but I'm probably smaller than their average Jeeper. read more

so like i tell people i am a review connoisseur i love writing reviews to help people make the right decisions for themselves. so im gonna give the good, bad, and the ugly! so i have a mom and pop garage i go to and trust highly with my vehicle. when the work is done i am allowed in the shop to overlook the vehicle and its work that was done. plus i use to do mechanics since the age of 10 and i know what im looking for and if there were any issues i would of requested them to fix it and if the mechanics noticed any issues i would of been notified immediately of any issues of repairs that needed to be made. so i had a whole new suspension system installed in the front, back along with a (2") spacer lift kit in my vehicle plus a number of other repairs. and everything was checked by me and the owner after all the work was done. the problem was the garage did not have a alignment machine! which meant i had to go somewhere else to get it done and was not happy about it for many reasons in which you will understand after reading this review. so started looking up lift alignment specialist and came across a few. the one at the very top of the list was (ok4wd) in stewartsville n.j. they had 328 reviews after reading a few and realizing they had 4.7 stars and are claimed to be the east coast premier off road shop and vehicle outfitters since 1979 which inspired me to go there. so i called and spoke to desiree who was professional and soft spoken. i explained the situation she stated she believed it wouldn't of been a problem and set me up with a service desk person so i could make a appointment. so i set up the appointment for 8:30 a.m. october 12, 2023, but forgot i had to take my son to school and that it would take me a 1 hour and a 1/2 to get there. so i called back and requested a later appointment at 10:00 a.m. so the gentleman i spoke to said no problem but as i found out later he never went back in the system to change the time? now the day of my appointment i received a phone call close to 8:30 a.m. by scott and i had explained i changed my appointment to 10:00 a.m. and spoke to someone the day i made the appointment but i guess they forgot to change the time in the computer. so i arrived a little early figured i could get in and out. when i arrived i met desiree explained i had a appointment and she directed me to head over to the service department that they would take care of me! so i met scott who provided me with a smile, hand shake and asked if i had a appointment he was professional, soft spoken, well informative and answered all my questions while collecting my key he stated they would get to work right away as soon as a bay was cleared. my appointment was for 10:00 a.m. my vehicle went back a little after 10:00. now i will say the place is beautiful and well stocked with all types of upgrades for your jeeps, suv's and trucks. i felt like a kid in a candy store! plus they have a waiting room, bathrooms and vending machines. you can just refer to the pictures. so now is where it becomes a (sceptical situation). so most garages make their money off the reason you bring it but also for repairs as well. meaning they will fish for damages to do a up charge basically to get more money out of you! so after about an hour scott comes over and request me to look at a few things that were supposedly wrong!!! hence i said supposedly! (1st) red flag . he pointed out there was a issue with my front driver's side (caliper)? in which i bought 3 to 4 months prior brand new and installed by me in which i had no issues while driving with it! (2nd) red flag they claimed that my (cv joint boot) was damaged? so when i looked at the damage on the boot it looked like a straight cut on the rubber and not a jagged edge or ripped looking cut . now this was pointed out to me back in april from my main garage because they could not inspect my vehicle with out that being repaired in which i had both sides replaced! so go figure !!! now the (3rd) red flag was my front passenger side wheel barring hub was damaged and all of a sudden shaking ! which they honestly did state it would affect my alignment. so just to test them i requested a pricing for the part i was told ($267 plus taxes) and they would not be able to get the part that day! now mind you i found (4) wheel barring hubs for that same price! highway robbery and bull crap inflation prices! yeah ok i was raised in a barn or born yesterday! now when the vehicle was inspected by my main garage there was no issues when it got repaired and inspected! now the (4th) issue was these specialized bolts that are part of the process for the alignment to be done correctly! which i did agree they looked old and worn so i had them change them ! I needed an alignment BAD, was so over the alignment place I had gone to because he was extremely rude and everything always had to be his way (A Wheel Alignment; Fairfield, NJ) so I did some research, found OK4wd, drove an hour to get there and was greeted so nicely. I was in need of new tires for my vehicle, and after calling around to many places, this place seemed to provide me a good deal for all the things I needed. My tires needed to be special ordered, so I went ahead and placed the order which took about 1 week to arrive. Not bad. I was assured these tires would be ordered as needed. I was able to bring my car in on a Saturday which is a plus for them as I did not have to call out of work. I dropped my car off early Saturday morning and received a call about 2 hours later when my car was ready. So far so good. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I noticed that the tires placed on my car were not the correct tires I had ordered as I needed a specific, harder to find, speed rating (at least that was what I was told). Here's where it all went wrong....Upon speaking with Steve about this, he told me the tires I had ordered were no longer available and that these were the upgrades. Thankfully, I had my boyfriend with me who is knowledgeable about the tires and told Steve these were not the correct tires, in fact they were a downgrade and unsafe for my needs. Cool.... New tires were ordered, however, now I had to wait to have my old tires put back on, and return to the shop another day. When I returned, new tires (the correct ones, which I was told no longer existed) were put on my car in about 1 hour. So overall, it started out well, but then the incorrect tires were put on my car which could have been dangerous, I was misinformed regarding the tires I had originally special ordered, and I had to return to the shop. Oh on a positive note, they waived my alignment fee to make up for the error. I cannot rate on anything else but this situation, however, I will not return to them again. read more

Scott in sales is outstanding but truly everyone I have dealt including all of the service personnel have been nothing but friendly, courteous and professional. I decided to get wheels and tires for my new JK. Scott helped me pick the tires based on my personality. He recommended a one inch body lift which was perfect for me and my budget. I ended up with damage to differential after a off road experience. Scott got me in quickly and service was great in getting my extensive damage repair in a reasonable amount of time. I also added at Scott's suggestions differential covers. I recently experienced some loosening from the tires and Scott again was able to get me in for a diagnosis and the service dept on the spot tightened up Jeep within 10 min. I live about 45 min away so I was greatly appreciative of their promptness. By far the best. Very honest, reasonable, knowledgable, friendly. Mechanics definitely know what they're doing, and do a great job, every time. Shop is clean, sales and service are very friendly and helpful. Service/prices are very reasonable; they dont try and rip you off/ sell you on something that you don't need or won't work well just to make a sale. NYC resident and would rather drive an hour and a half - without traffic - just to get a proper alignment, differential service, and tire balancing / or just a leak fixed - than have some random car shop write up a worksheet - pass it on to some random / possibly incompetent / lazy mechanic who may or may not do the job right the first time. All in all great shop and very pleased. If you like your Jeep and want to have work done right (getting into lift kits, oversize tires, aftermarket armour which gets complicated, even transfer case servicing and road-forcing tires); your local mechanic won't know what he's doing based on experience with jeeps and Jeep/Mopar will charge you double and you'll probably need to turn around to have them re-do what they were supposed to do properly. I brought my 2008 Chevy Colorado to OK to get a lift kit and new wheel and tire package installed. The sales and service staff was extremely helpful in selecting the correct package for the truck and they worked with me via email to adjust the various wheel and tire combos that fit into my budget.
