I cannot recommend Gemelli Jewelers highly enough on customer service alone. My now husband live around the corner and have passed by the shop for years and had never been in. We finally went in on our way to the city to look for wedding bands and had to look no further! They had a design we loved and completely remade the ring for us in 14k gold in under 2 weeks! Then the night before my rehearsal dinner for the wedding I was gifted a Diamond bracelet to wear for the wedding but it needed to be resized. I took it to them and they promised to have it in a few hrs! In the wedding daze I forgot it was Memorial Day weekend and they closed early. Never leave any expensive jewelry with them, if you do take pictures. I made the mistake of leaving a rope bracelet with a gold bar on it. Never wore it on a daily basis. I would give zero stars if possible . They charged money to a put ring guard on a ring . I provided the ring guard . They did asolutely nothing to resize the ring . My husband and I brought our 4 month old daughter to Gemelli's to get her ears pierced and we were so happy with our experience there. They were so professional and made the process so easy for us. Two employees helped with the piercing while another helped distract my daughter, so the whole process was over in seconds. Wasn't planning on leaving a review but the more I talk to people the more they say my story should be heard. I will say I was in a rush and asking questions but the way I was treated by Joe the owner was incredibly disrespectful and uncalled for. I was grateful my daughter wasn't with me. He's probably fine if you don't question his pricing or policies (20 dollar minimum if using a card), which I did and from that I was told "my store my rules" as well as "take a walk" as I was leaving...who talks like that? He also spoke to a customer about me in Italian (unfavorably) as I waited for my receipt. I felt so uncomfortable. Again I didn't want to review at all but I just had to. So I will say this: caveat emptor with this place. Based on the response of this business I thought I would post what I wrote in my notes after leaving this establishment. Especially that he is saying my account is "inaccurate" ? I do believe there are two sides to every story too and I wish them the best but here is a more detailed account of what transpired that day: "Take a walk" was how I was spoken to (by the owner) as I left this place. I went to pick up a necklace which they fixed for the second time. I had to go to an appointment and I needed to get in and out of there. when I gave my card to purchase it, they told me it was a 20 dollar min, the cost was around 16 bucks. If I had time I would have went to the ATM but I was in a rush so I asked if they could charge me and they said they would have to charge me a dollar to use the card. It was so silly to me but I needed to go. Then the owner said "our store we make the rules" as he briskly walked by. Then he continued to engage me in a way that was incredibly disrespectful. What's more he proceeded to talk to a customer in Italian, I am not sure if the exact conversation but I was able to translate some. I didn't have a big ticket item and I was getting a price for fixing a watch but this exchange was enough to make me not get the locket I was thinking about or ever set foot in there again. I'm sure the owner is nice sometime but I saw a very different side of him. I'm just grateful my kids weren't with me. So I will "take a walk" owner of Gemelli So sorry you don't know better. I will also say the girl helping me was very sweet and I appreciated that especially when this interaction occurred. There are in fact two sides and this was mine and every word is true. Two weeks ago I came in to this store to get my girlfriend's engagement ring adjusted. At first they wanted a week to work on the ring, but when I explained that I was proposing to my girlfriend later that week they agreed to work on it while I was in the store.
