They were so thoughtful and hospitable although I ended up not purchasing anything as I did not see this particular model I had been looking for -  Lisa was so kind that she gave me the catalog, sending me off at that time. Today I came in with my mother to get something for my brothers upcoming graduation. I dealt with Greg 8-9 years before so I figured I'd give it a shot to email / call them before coming in because it is during the time of Covid-19 so extra cases and caution before showing up. I trusted Greg and this establishment before 9 years ago and despite it almost being a decade of dealing with them they have the same unquestionable service, integrity, and commitment to their customers no different than I remember from the first time I dealt with them. I can say that establishments rarely offer this level of consistency like they have. I highly recommend people to come here and I don't quite understand the bad reviews on this page (some of them being because they can't get a high demand Rolex model because the demand far outstrips the supply and they don't just price gouge their customers even though I'm absolutely sure they could if they wanted to raising their prices but they don't). Anyone before I sound like a paid reviewer I will simply say do yourself a favor and check this place out because it's much easier too deal with them knowing you don't have to leave wondering if you haggled or might have not had the best deal or option. My friend had a ring stuck on her finger and we needed to get it off asap because it was turning purple. My friends fiancee called this jeweler and found out they could help. The finger was really swollen so we had no choice. Those youtube videos don't work as well as one would think. Greg was able to assist us by sawing the ring off. The customer service is ok and the prices are on the high side but Forest Hills is an upscale neighborhood so this is to be expected. Do not rely on them to make repairs. I needed a strand of a pearl necklace restrung. That was 12/12/19. I was told two weeks was needed, which was reasonable. I waited till New Year's figuring there might have been rush orders for the holidays. Family illness intervened and I returned today, two months later, and the pearl necklace repair was never done. First I was told it was likely I never responded to their call, which I never got. Then I was told, "These things happen sometimes" Next I was told, 'It was only one strand", which had no relevance. Bottom line, I do not trust them for repairs. But, if you want to store your jewelry in a secure location, you might consider them. read more

I recently brought a double strand of pearls into Lorilil Jewelers because one strand was broken. They gave me a price for restringing that single strand and I left the pearls. When I picked them up, they were unwearable. The strand that had been restrung was now much shorter leaving considerable difference in lengths between the two strands. It was odd looking. Additionally, the spacing between the pearls on the restrung strand was irregular, with much of the strand looking like there was no knot at all between the pearls. When I said the difference in lengths looked terrible, I was told it was because I had only a single strand restrung and the other strand was naturally looser. I asked why they hadn't advised me of that when I dropped it off so that I could make an informed decision about the cost of repairing the pearls. He had no answer. I was completely unhappy with the job they did, yet no remedy was offered. The man waiting on me knew the pearls weren't wearable in the condition they were in and all he did was ask me to pay the bill. I then took the pearls to the jeweler around the block where upon carefully inspecting the shorter strand, they diagnosed the problem. The string used was too fine. That's why there was no spacing between many of the pearls. I had them restring both strands and they did a beautiful job. I would never return to Lorilil, not because they can't restring pearls, but because when they had a justifiably unhappy customer, they just didn't care. read more

Called after 6 months then after a year now two years. After two years they are just downright nasty and arrogant. Sorry didn't realize you were doing me a favor! His demeanor was unprofessional and lacked in product, pricing, and current market information especially when it comes in to the pre-own watches. His behavior suggests that he either doesn't care at all or is unaware of anything. I believe this is a training opportunity for upper management for Mr. Greg, or just resign, because your attitude and lack of knowledge represents and reflects the company you work for and this behavior is a horrible representation for this company. unfortunately I will not be going back due to this experience. One more thing, as a salesperson you have to assume that everyone who walks into the store is a knowledgeable consumer with spending power. What you say and do will matter greatly.
