Came here with my friend Saturday 4/8 , we came to eat and have drinks with coworkers. I ordered the Dry Shrimp Burrito, it was pretty good. I also ordered a Don Julio Classic Margarita. 7/10 for both. My friend ordered the Aquachiles, which was pretty hood. She said the shrimp had a weird texture, which wasn't its usual texture. But it was spicy and the cucumbers were pretty good. She also ordered the margarita flight. She liked it a lot. My other friend ordered an old fashion. Everything will be pictured. The waitress was pretty off. She would come up to us, and ask if we were ready to order but would walk away when we start talking. She asked if we wanted chips and salsa, and before we could say yes, she walked away. She put 2 margaritas in for our order but my friend ordered a flight. When we told her about the error, she tried to tell my friend that she changed her mind at the end(which she never did). When we received our receipt it had a message under the margarita that my friend never ordered that said "customer did not like". She never even sipped it because she never ordered it. Other than the female server that was stressful, the ambiance at the restaurant was nice. Good music, good vibes. I would go back and just ask for a different server. read more

I've seen this place on instagram, so my boyfriend and I decided to try it. We came in sat at our table for 20 minutes with no one offering a water or anything. So they began to clear our table they never asked if we were done or anything and previously i had asked for a cup of water 30min passed and nothing i asked again and i still never received the water. While they began to clear our table they even took a plate that still had sausages my husband was not done eating and after that it just felt like they were rushing us to leave to accommodate the family of 6 it was really frustrating and unpleasant service. I want to love this place more but unfortunately their food isn't hitting. If you come for brunch, the food is much better but if you're just looking for anything on the Happy Hour menu, it's definitely not worth it. For brunch, I got the Benedict and was able to choose two different protein options. It was actually really good and the walnut strawberry salad they paired it with, was delicious. For happy hour, my party ordered aguachili, sopas, consume, and ceviche. None of them hit the spot except the aguachili. However, we did ask them to make it spicy but they only added chili flakes at the top... the sopas were dry and needed so much salsa for flavor. The consume tasted very watered down. And the ceviche did not taste fresh. I was really disappointed with their happy hour meals especially because you had to order a meal in order to get a happy hour margarita. Although the margaritas were pretty big, it did taste much alcohol, there was probably only a shot used for each glass. The margarita flights and Mexican candy shots were probably the only drinks worth the cost. ($12.99 for 3 drinks) However you have to be careful because some of the flavors are pretty sweet. The service each time have been really great. Each waitress I had were very attentive and constantly checked in with our table. Ok, I usually take days to review a place but this experience was just bad. Seeing the reviews looks mixed but taking in the avg rate it makes sense. 1) we arrived and the hostess (didn't have a name tag) was just bad. She first stated that the wait to sit was going to be 2hrs(their tables in the front had 4 available, it was just 2 of us). Than she said it will be 1.5 hrs. We also saw they had a bunch of empty tables in the back/side of the restaurant. We literally waited the 110min she put in her little app. And we waited EXACTLY 110min. We arrived and then she asks if we want to sit outside or inside, but if we choose inside we will have to wait more . We took outside. 2) we sat and waited 20min until a server showed up. Even then we weren't even sure if it was a server because she just rushed drop two plates and utensils and said "be with you in a bit" and walked off. Did not feel welcoming. Just brushed off. Then when it came to ordering she did recommend the stuffed French toast (good choice). But that was it. Then we only saw her two times, one to check how we were doing and two to say if we ordered coffee and if we did, that it was coming out (after we received ALL our other food and drinks). Her name was Gladys (name tag). 3) Food? Nope. It was not good at all. Drinks? The same. I had the chilaquiles + skillets, no flavor, only the refried beans had flavor and they tasted like the ones from the Rosarita's Can. My bf had the Benedict's combo, it was just sad...flavor and presentation. We asked the server if the crepes will come with the fruit inside like the photo, she said yes and guess what, it was a LIE.The stuffed French toast was the ONLY delicious thing we had. We had a mimosa flight and the michelada flight. Michelada was watered and no explanation of which was which, we guessed and asked at the end when the server came to check. Mimosa was eh. We order their cafe de olla and that was the last thing brought to our table. Also it tasted burnt and watery, sad just sad. Noted: we received dessert before the food, drinks, and coffee 4) restroom was dirty. Toilet paper everywhere. I have been here twice. Both times, I was meeting friends. I sat in the outdoor patio the first time, and inside the second time. I had the Supreme Omelette ($14.99) and a Mimosa Flight ($4.99) the first time. I tried their Tablita Tlaxcali ($20.99) and a Jameson Ginger Ale ($8.00) the second time. Tacos were delicious. Good value on this item. Mimosa flight is a great value. Chilaquiles ($15.99) were good according to both my friends. Generous portion served piping hot. My Supreme Omelette was A-OK. Coctel De Ceviche ($17.99) my friend had was a downer. We wasted this whole dish. Jameson Ginger Ale was A-OK as well. Service was by Kat both times, although other staff members were also constantly checking up on us. All entrees ordered do not arrive at the same time at the table. For food, we just ordered the Mexican Tablon, which was worth the $49.99, it contained a variety of delicious assortments, like Tacos, Sopes, Nachos, & Taquitos with Guacamole, along with an order of Asada Fries....again...all good. The 4 stars is about the food, but I couldn't give them a 5. This is why... As a Mexican family, we share our plates and drinks, so I tasted the Margarita Flight, and spilled it, not only on the table, but on one of my kids lap. We asked the bartender for napkins, as our waitress was not to be seen. He gave us a small little stack to wipe the table, but just the fact that he didn't give us a towel or call for someone to clean it was disappointing. When our waitress came, we told her what happened, and she was like sorry, but no, let me have them clean up the table or or floor, or replace the drink. (I replaced the beverage with a larger drink) Now, I know why our table was sticky, and shame on me for not making a big deal. I am basing this review on breakfast only. There was no wait time, got seated at a table right away. A loud establishment with dark lighting inside. They do not have their lunch menu opened during breakfast hours. Food came out quick. For the combo plate that I ordered it was $15. The combo plate came with a small crepe, a side of fruit, and one small Benedict. Looking at the plate , my first thought was oh no I've paid less for more at other place. The crepe was smothered in a heavy serving of Nutella, which was the flavor that stood out the most. As for the Skillet with chilaquiles, it was all soggy by the time it came out to the table, so perhaps it was cooked too fast. Overall, I left with the impression that breakfast is not their forte here. I doubt I would want to come back for breakfast here. read more

The food is fair. It's good it's just sometime depending what you order you'll get great quality food or mediocre. Yes it's pretty and he music is ok. My family loved going here last year. However, I just had my daughter she's one years old. Came in for breakfast, literally the one table that was appropriate for a high chair was already taken. We asked if we can go outside since all the indoor tables were too high, the high chair would not even reach to be eye level with my baby. They said no so we just walked out and wanted us to use the tables inside and just hold our baby. This is obviously not meant for group with younger kids unless you want your kids sitting on the high stool chairs and potentially falling over. Neve was our waitress she has excellent customer service. I tired the DEL MAR I recommend to try it. The tacos have lots of flavors. We stopped by OLA after the Friday, "Taste of Downey". It was poppin' on a Friday evening. We decided to be seated in the back patio. It was very loud inside, where many tables are to sit and the inside bar. They're playing all the top Latin/Mexican artists right now (ie Peso Pluma, Karol G, Grupo Frontera). The inside is very bright lots of IG moments to be had. As well as in the back patio, which has plenty of tables and a beer garden type area. The hostesses were very friendly. Our server was ok he didn't come around too often, I guess about enough. We ordered drinks and nachos without meat for our vegetarian friend. If you're looking for a trendy spot for a happy hour or weekend evening this is a good spot. The drinks were refreshing and good and served in cute glasses.
