Shrimp Cocktail de Shrimp
Shanoah N.

Came in for a drink and a appetizer. My bartender was cute and friendly. Ordered the spicy strawberry margarita and the shrimp cocktail. The drink was delicious and well made. The shrimp cocktail was decent, not bad but not amazing. They used tiny shrimp, the cup was filled with shrimp, they definitely did not skimp. Lots was TV's to watch your favorite sports.

First time coming here and I liked it. I got the ceviche and it was ok. My friend got the Mexico City tacos and those were SO good. I got the Messclaudita and it was delish and strong. My friend got two beers. The service was great , our server was Eve (Evelyn P.) and she was really nice. It was Sunday so it was got pretty busy with the football games. I enjoyed the ambience and am looking forward to coming back to try more food and definitely drink specials during the week.

Came to have lunch and a saw a roach on the floor. I stepped on it to kill it, told the waiter and manager. Waiter was nice about it, manager didn't seem to care, didn't talk to us or try to make us feel better about the situation. I didn't make a big scene or try to get my meal compd but at least clean it up right away.

If I was ABC I'd be all over this place. We literally got served two late rounds of candy shots with no type of alcohol in it. Scam.

Coco is the best server. Drinks were good and the ambiance was chill. Would recommend for a lowkey vibe for a group.

The food is outstanding, the portions are generous, and the burgers live up to the hype. What makes it even better is that you're not just getting a great meal; you're experiencing a piece of Los Angeles history. Places like this are becoming rare, and Hawkins House of Burgers has earned its legendary status. If you're a local and haven't been here yet, you're missing out. Another 10min passed by, now I'm seeeing people who came after me get their orders before me. Asked the staff again for my order status. The order pick up window person shouted my name to the kitchen each time I checked in. Finally the 3rd time they responded, they start arguing, apparently my order was done a long time ago, and it was given to someone else. It took 30min to figure out that my order had already been done and given to someone else because there was no communication between the kitchen, order staff or pick up staff. no apology, just got my food after the argument 3minutes later...Food was average, definitely not worth a 30min wait.

When I asked for ice, I was told the bartender had "burned the ice" and that there was no ice available. I even pointed out chilled glasses visible behind the bar, but no effort was made to accommodate the request. Moments later, another employee noticed the situation and took the initiative to help, immediately scooping ice from behind the same bar where I was standing. The ice was clearly available all along, and I appreciated that staff member's willingness to resolve such a simple request. What was most frustrating wasn't the water itself--it was the attitude and lack of basic customer service. This was not a complicated cocktail order or a special request. It was simply a request for a cold glass of water. When I expressed my frustration, the bartender brought over the manager, DJ, who immediately defended the employee and told me I could not speak to staff that way. Rather than addressing the issue or acknowledging the misunderstanding, I was asked to leave the restaurant. Being removed over a request for ice water, when ice was readily available and the restaurant was not even fully shut down for the night, was both embarrassing and unnecessary. Customers should not be treated poorly for making a simple request, and managers should hold employees accountable rather than excuse dismissive behavior. The most troubling part is that the entire situation could have been avoided in seconds. The ice was there the entire time--literally right behind the bar from where I was standing. Another employee had no difficulty accessing it and serving it immediately. Being told there was no ice when it was readily available, then being asked to leave for questioning that response, reflects a disappointing level of customer service and management judgment. The issue was never the ice water itself. It was the refusal to provide a basic courtesy, the misleading explanation, and the way the situation was handled from start to finish. I would also have expected the manager to apologize for the misunderstanding rather than immediately take a defensive position. A simple acknowledgment of the situation could have resolved the matter and left a much better impression. I am very disappointed by this mistreatment and being a local is even more disappointing. My first time here since it's been Tom's and maybe the only time if this is how they treat their guests.

When you choose seats further back, you can capture the screen experience better on your phone. When you choose seats closer to the front, the movie experience is wonderful, and it cannot be captured by phone. It is a very in the moment experience. They do check your tickets because there are a lot of people trying to sit in seats they didn't pay for. As for food and drinks, everything has been great so far, we've tried the: KOREAN CORN CHEESE NACHOS MEDITERRANEAN CHICKEN PITA HIBISCUS MARGARITA TROPIC HEAT MARGARITA Except, the SPICY CHEDDAR POPCORN, it's not spicy at all and it is delicious. My only qualm is that the powder used is very light so it goes up your nose very easily and it is very aggravating to the nose and throat. If you hear someone coughing, this is probably why. If you are coming to for the bar experience, it is scary when they open the doors and everyone is running in to get seats and tables. It kind of has the rush of a Black Friday feeling. Still worth it! Very fun watching a game here too!

From the second we walked in, the bartender was all smiles and super friendly. It had that true local bar feel--lots of regulars, casual chatter, and a vibe that just felt easy. Yes, the music was a little loud at first, but after a bit, it blended into the background and actually added to the energy of the place. We ordered wings (multiple sets, because one round was not enough) and a burger with fries. Let me tell you--the lemon pepper wings deserve their own standing ovation. Crispy, tangy, and absolutely addictive. The burger and fries? Spot on comfort food. To top it off, it was comedy night. I went from cheering for the Dodgers to full-on belly laughs in the same night. Bonus points for having nonalcoholic options--I had a Heineken 0.0 dressed, and it was perfect. My guy was happy with his drinks too, so win-win. Honestly, this place turned into one of those fun, random experiences you don't plan but end up remembering. Good food, good laughs, good game--what more can you ask for?
