The pizza and wings are solid here but I would not call it a true deep dish - the crust is a bit thicker but more like a thick hand-tossed vs a Chicago deep dish pie. That said, it is certainly a LOT better than a Dominos or Pape John's (albeit at 2-3X the price for a pie). We were looking for manga at Roger's Vintage Stock when we suddenly got a craving for some thick pizza. I had only been to this place once before with my mom, years ago when it first opened. After telling my lady about it, we decided this was the spot. The décor isn't anything to rave about--I'd actually prefer a little more personality. Nothing about it really screams Chicago pizza place; it just looks like any other sports bar in the area. That said, the service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet. I'm a sucker for good fried pickles, and trust me, this place delivered. This was the highlight of the meal. The portion size was actually pretty satisfying. As for the pizza, I got the OG Thick Pan Crust personal pan Chicago 7, minus the pepperoni, but with Canadian bacon, pineapple, and jalapeños instead. We stopped in as a family prior to a volleyball tournament. We were not greeted or seated right away but after we got to our table, the host came by to apologize for the delayed service and a complementary appetizer would be brought to our table. The manager then stopped by to make sure we were satisfied with our appetizer. CJ was our service. She was very welcoming, was funny, and made us feel at home. This place is a consistent favorite for my family. We usually go to Old Chicago once a week. I enjoy the atmosphere as it is very lively. It's a great place to go with friends especially if you want to watch a game. You can ask the workers to throw a game up on a tv for you. The service is always very quick and all the workers are so nice. I have not tried the beers, but I know it is a popular place to get beers on tap. They have so many different types and they have an award they give to those who try each one of them. The food itself is delicious. We always start with the Macaroni and Cheese Bites and the Bavarian Pretzels. Both of them have always been cooked well and have been enjoyable. They are very consistent. I have not had a bad pizza there. You can order the pizza on four different crusts and my family each gets a different one. I typically get the OC thick with pepperoni. It has a buttery crust that is cooked to perfection. You really can't go wrong here! I highly recommend getting a meal here. read more

I am a vegetarian and ordered their 7 veggie something option. When I collected it it was nice and hot but when I came home and took a bite I realized veggies are not cooked at all. We have eaten at this location a few times and thought it would be a great place to have my daughter's birthday. We decided to call and see if we could make a reservation. Our party was only 8, I believe the guys name that I talked to was Austin. He was not helpful and was trying get us to pay 1500$ to reserve the upstairs room. He was very short with me and did not understand what I was asking. We didn't need an entire area and if they don't do reservations he should have just said so. We ordered a Thick crust Veggie 7 individual which arrived cold and an Apple Walnut Salad WITH NO NUTS because my wife is allergic to walnuts. We ordered through Door Dash. (That's a different story) Suffice it to say, that the Dasher DIDN'T pick up the order. When they did, the order was an hour late and the salad was remade WITH nuts! We spent 30 minutes picking the nuts out of the meal, and there were STILL some in there! We TOLD them verbally to make sure there were no nuts, and yet...our evening was ruined because we wanted to relax with an appetizing meal and that was not what we received. I recently moved here from CA and was excited to try this place. The food was good but the service we received at the beginning is what caused me to write this review. My friends and I went in 45 minutes before closing to sign in with the hostess, who immediately looked bothered and rolled her eyes before proceeding to ask how many people were in our party. I asked her if they were still open and she very rudely replied yes, I then said "ok because it seems that you're bothered and I just wanted to make sure you haven't stopped seating", she then roll her eyes again, grabbed some menus and started walking away. That was her way of sitting us to the table. It was all very uncomfortable. The rest of the staff from there on out was amazing though. I ended up finding out through her own colleagues that her name is Brooklyn. If you ever go here just beware of her as your hostess/server or maybe her manager can provide her with better customer service training to avoid situations like this moving forward. read more

This is not any Chicago style pizza I've ever had (and I lived in the upper Midwest). So, yeah, I've had "real" Chicago deep dish. Old Chicago is just overpriced and pretty lackluster tasting. You could get a better tasting pizza at Pizza Hut or Dominos easily (and it won't cost over $30 a pizza for a small). Eat at your own risk, but be prepared to be underwhelmed and feel overcharged. read more

Awesome selection of on tap beers, including local craft options. The menu is fun with a buffalo chicken appetizer and Mac and cheese entree options. They also offer the usual bar food that you can get to go with a couple beers. We went with a deep dish pizza. Tried to order pineapple on half, but our server told us they wouldn't do that, so we decided to order it for the whole pizza and pick it off half. Our pizza came out wrong and didn't have any meat on it, but it was so delicious, we ate it anyway. We didn't see our server for quite awhile, so we didn't wait around to eat. Although there was a period of time where our server was MIA for about 20 minutes, we enjoyed sipping our beer and eating our pizza while watching the games on tv. The view from the upstairs seating is nice and I will definitely be back in the warmer weather to enjoy the open deck style seating. Asked to sit at a booth with an electrical outlet nearby if possible- done. The inside is two levels, TVs everywhere, booths & hightops. Menu has great variety- sandwiches, burgers, make your own mac & cheese, stromboli, salads, oh & pizza. It was still lunch (until 3) so ordered off the lunch menu (only difference I could tell was a personal pizza & endless salad special- other items were about a $1 less than dinner). Server was friendly & attentive (but again, he may have had 1 other table). Still, he recommended a yummy drink -like a Long Island Tea -on special for $4.00. Sure. He recommended the Crafted Beer Burger- "steak burger cooked in light lager w/carmelized onions & a cheddar cheese made with Guinness." They also ask how you'd like it prepared. It was good - not sure about the steak & beer taste but it was tasty. Fries were great. Good prices, specials, service, atmosphere. Food kinda reminds me of Applebee's (meh) but a level up.
