I love it when the restaurant is connected to the Holiday Inn. You don't have to drive anywhere. We were seated in the bar. They were very busy. She got our beverage right away so I got the black tooth - black eagle Baltic Porter. I really enjoyed it then for dinner. I got the Strawberry Ricotta Basil salad with ricotta cheese, spinach, and arugula, strawberries,sliced mango,walnuts, sunflower seeds , and a honey poppyseed dressing. I ate every bite of that salad. It was so good.Dave got the Chicago 7 hoagie-pizza sauce, pepperoni, sausage, onion, green pepper, olives, mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, and Parmesan cheese. I came here expecting more from the food. From the looks of the place inside and out and the number of people there on a weekday at lunchtime, I thought it would be off the hook great. Just getting someone to come by and get our drinks took unacceptably long. It was one of those times when I was looking around the dining room and assessing who was a server and what tables had come in before me. Finally, someone who could only do drinks came by and got us going there. It still took unacceptably long for the real server to come by. Granted, they were understaffed and she was working hard. Not the server's fault at all. The Caesar salad was nice. It came pre-tossed with the dressing which is the way it should be. The Mediterranean salad was also good but there was an inordinate amount of water in the bottom of the bowl. Not sure why/how that was but one couldn't simply tilt the bowl and slide a portion onto one's plate. We had to tong it, just without tongs. Weird, but really tasty once on the plate and minus the water. The soft pretzel appetizer was OK. My kids ate and were happy, but it was pretty clear that the pretzels were frozen beforehand and not really cooked as well as they should have been. They were kinda wrinkly and needed a few minutes in a proper oven. The cheese sauce though was outstanding and we kept that for pizza crust dipping. The pizza. Oh, I had such high hopes. The namesake item of the restaurant was underwhelming. We ordered the pan/deep pizza which we love from other Chicago-style pizza restaurants. When it arrived at the table, it really wasn't a deep dish (despite being in a deep pan). It could have been Papa John's pizza put into a pan for service, honestly. The crust looked and tasted as though it was frozen before cooking. We finally had a chance to grab a pizza pie in Chi town. Our bartender was very friendly and food was great. The bar was very chill.

In a town limited in terms of dining options Old Chicago is by far the best option. I would always come here when I visited the area after the local steakhouse Coyote Creek shutdown for good during the pandemic. Everything here is delicious -- beers are great, pizza is excellent, portions are appropriate -- I really enjoy the booths and vibe here. Service is always excellent -- nice waitresses. This is definitely my go-to restaurant in Rock Springs, WY. No complaints! read more

Decided to give this place a try. It looked a bit busy but there was seating. The menu was good. The options are fine. We had a part of 8, so we all got different things. Nothing was overly impressive and not very big plates. I asked about the turkey club. Waitress wasn't too familiar with. It was bland. Fries came out like warm. 3.5 stars The restaurant was modern and comfortable. The service was average, and the food was pretty good. The beer selection was impressive. This is going to sound strange, but the salads were the most impressive part of our lunch. We got the Mediterranean and the Caesar side salads for 4 of us to share. They were very large for a side salad. All ingredients were fresh and plentiful. The Bavarian pretzel sticks were OK. They tasted like they were frozen American pretzel sticks rather than traditional German pretzels. We also ordered a large Chicago style pizza with black olives and pepperoncini. It was fine. The amount of food for the money was shocking. I wouldn't say it was the best meal we had in Rock Springs but it was pretty good. read more

Is there a zero stars? Obviously it is connected to a hotel they gave coupon for $5 off or 2/2/2 special for free minus free soda. So when you order ( we are moving and so some had to stay behind with the animals in various rooms) we told them we have to go orders and sit down orders BUT NEED THE CHECK when we got our food. Got it to the room. Waited for the sit down food . Asked 4 times after we got our food for our bill. Finally went inside the kitchen and asked for our check. Saying sorry does not cut it when we asked 4 TIMES. So if you think because you are staying at the hotel with free breakfast coupon at the old Chicago hotel establishment in Rock Springs, Wyoming think again, especially when you have to ask. I ordered online and was told it was a 25 minute wait. I arrived after 30 min and was told they didn't even have my order. They asked for the name and order 3 times. Finally, they wrote it down after I showed them the confirmation and had the chefs make it. I waited an hour and a half before receiving this. When I was there, I made a second order, completely separate, in person to go, was told it would be 25 minutes. It was 1 hour later I received my order. When the order was ready, the order was wrong and they remade it. When I opened the order, it was still made wrong!! Three times in a row. I had no customizations to my order whatsoever so confused where the errors came from. The girl at the front who took my order seemed confused as to where my order was although she took it and provided them the tab. In the end, all they offered me was a free drink, I said I didn't need one and would like an item from my order on the house, they said they could not do that and only provided a discount on one of my items. They did not accept my form of payment which was even more frustrating. Overall, first and only time coming here. Will not be coming back. read more

Another review that is long overdue! The first time I tried Old Chicago was in Wichita, KS and the place was like a club, with a dj, and packed until almost midnight. This was definitely not the situation in Wyoming but was happy as to see that there was one in Rock Springs. I have to travel down to Rock Springs for work about twice a month and everytime after I have completed my work, I have to stop by Old Chicago for some pizza, wings, and a beer. This time, my job ended at 3:20 P.M. and it was time to stop in for Happy Hour! I arrived there and the parking lot was packed as usual. I am really starting to think that this must be the go-to spot for the locals because the restaurant is always packed. After being seated by the hostess, my waiter had to hurt my soul and tell me that Happy Hour didnt start until 4 P.M and I had to wait. Well lets just say, that didn't stop me from ordering a 9 piece wing before Happy Hour started and another 9 piece wing to GO for happy hour! The 9 piece I ordered to go did turn into a 5 piece because lets just say the wings were that Good and I had to eat a couple more. I ordered were the BONE-IN Original Buffalo and Sweet Thai Chili Wings with celery sticks and house-made ranch. We also ordered the THE Pepperroni which was covered in brick cheese, pizza sauce, and cup & char pepperoni. This was a unique but delicious pizza. The sauce was poured on top of the cheese and the char pepperoni made the pepperoni crunchy and extra tasty. The wings were so good, crispy but tender, easy to eat, and the sauces made the wings stand out. Hands down this place is a good place to eat if you looking for good pizza and wings. Service is usually on point for the most point but done definitely had some bad waiters and waitresss. That definitely wont stop my for coming back in the future. Go Golden Knights! ~ Stanley Cup finals away from home made better here. This is the place to be for happy hour, late night specials, sports tv, music channels and friendly chatter with cross-country motorbikers. Never heard of Old Chicago chain before until now and glad we found somewhere local open past 9pm. Of all things to order at a pizza joint, I had the rib eye in memory of my stepdad's birthday in Heaven. I don't usually order rib eye just anywhere but this entree was great quality portion, cooked perfectly medium rare, broccoli roasted just right and hearty potato--plentiful for breakfast steak and egg leftovers. The wings were a repeat hit for us as well. We came back a few times and our bartenders Michelle and Ally were awesome in remembering and treating us like regulars, as well as changing the sports channel for NHL. read more

I am traveling with my dog and if I can take him with me I do. He is not a certified service dog but behaves just as well as one but if I am denied access I accept it respectfully and find a different place. As I walked up I asked some customers who were putting masks on and about to walk in if this place had a to go menu. They said let me find out very friendly. A worker came out to give me a menu. I looked for a few minutes and realized no one was going to come out so I walked in with little Louie by my side. He sits when told and is very calm so they allowed me to order and sit inside the lobby. They said 20 minutes for the wait for my order which was a classic pizza deep dish personal size and a Cesar salad. I'm not sure Of the total but I gave them a $20. The girls behind the counter were whispering to each other and wasn't very comfortable. One girl was very nice and went to pet Louie. I'm visiting from California so I'm surprised how many people do not wear masks but I guess to each is own can't force the people out here. I waited 30 min then decided to ask and it seemed like they had it but forgot I was there. Did not give me a bag or utensils. The pizza is a little too cooked on top but tastes great. I would give more stars but the girls behind the counter were not friendly they looked like they were gossiping about customers. Overall looked like a very very busy place.
