Date of visit: July 2026…read more NOT PARTICULARLY HD FANS We're not into Harley Davidsons or motorcycles at all for that matter, but while in Milwaukee, it seemed like the thing to do. Having visited the museum, (We spent 5 hours there, including lunch at the restaurant) I will say I 'get it' and have much more of an appreciation for the bikes and the HD community. LOCKERS AVAILABLE We purchased our tickets at the front desk and checked our bags and water into a locker (No need to have money for a locker). If you're visiting in the summer, don't leave your sweater in the locker as the museum was SO COLD! Restrooms are also in this area. WHAT TO EXPECT You will learn about the beginnings and history of HD, their rapid growth, learn about the different parts of the bikes, see hundreds of bikes through the years, see the progression of the HD logo, see a wall of different colored gas tanks (I loved this!) and be able to sit on some bikes. There are info boards to read and it never felt too crowded. ON-SITE RESTAURANT If you get hungry, there's a restaurant next to the river. There was a wait time, but we sat at the bar immediately. I will say, there weren't really healthy options on the menu. We had a burger. HARLEY GIFTS GALORE There's a gift shop across the 'campus' from the main museum. A/C TOO COLD Like I mentioned before, my main complaint was that the museum was WAY too cold, which made the experience slightly miserable. Other than that, it was very interesting and I'd recommend a visit. I'm now completely FASCINATED every time I encounter a Harley on the street! Helpful?

I took advantage of the $4.14 ticket deal on 4/14 day. It was my first visit to Harley Davidson…read moremuseum and I was impressed! The customer service counter had motorcycle windshields which I thought was clever. I appreciated that the staff member let me know the bathrooms are on the first floor so I went there first before heading to the start of the museum on the 2nd floor. So many motorcycles to see! It was fun to see how they have progressed over time. The engine wall was beautiful, very aesthetically pleasing. I most enjoyed the displays that included anecdotes from the riders. If not going on 4-1-4 day, the museum is $25.

What a nifty way to spend an afternoon. Provided that you're a vaguely cerebral (fair to say,…read more"nerdy") older sort, especially if you're a fella (I wouldn't recommend the place for most kids - especially not a gaggle of tween girls). All manner of The Work of Man memorialized in sculpture and painting, with a particularly nice Carl Spitzweg side gallery (worth a visit if you ever admired Norman Rockwell's "The Bookworm" - the original of which is also there, right outside the Spitzweg room - because you'll find its inspiration). Oh, and it's five bucks (I didn't even ask about the Senior Rate). And be careful not to trip over the students sunbathing on the grass in bikinis when looking at the magnificent sculptures in the rooftop garden.

Been living in the neighborhood almost a year and never gave thia place a secons thought. Realizing…read moreit was right next door to one of my favorite coffeeshops (Discourse) and that it was only $5, I gave it a shot. This is one of the best kept secrets in Milwaukee, honestly. The artwork on display is incredible, with some genuinely masterful pieces, as well as more modern interpretations. Mostly paintings with some sculptures, iron work, and videos. They even have a rooftop which offers incredible views of the skyline and features several large sculptures, just bw aware that it's closed for winter. I took an hour and a half to get through it, and that's just taking a peak at the rooftop. I would say you could spend upwards of 2 hours here with little difficulty.

Now that my wife and I are officially retired, we wanted to invite my brother and sister along with their spouses to come. We decided to come on Saturday when they were celebrating Scandinavian heritage. We arrived right when they opened and stayed until they closed. Overall we had a good time and my wife and I noticed many new improvements that were added since the last time we came. There were a couple of items that I wanted to share by email to the staff at OWW both positive and helpful criticism. Since it was somewhat crowed that day one of the items related to how they operate their tram schedule and the other item had to do with their food service (they could not keep up with the line). I sent my email to the main one. No response. Sent it a second time and they follow up that they didn't get it. I asked if they had specific emails to the guest services staff and she gave me those emails and I wrote them both. No response. I even included my phone number. I emailed the original email again and she said she would get it to them herself. Still no response. I gave up after that. I have been in guest service for most of my life and would value feedback good and bad. That's how you improve. Would I still go back - probably. I am just disappointed that they were not willing to follow up with me. OWW has a lot of great history to learn about WI etc. My only suggestion would be not to go if there are large crowds. BG
