We don't board our dogs much but we recently went on a week vacation and nobody wants to take care of my extra large dogs so they had to get boarded. The staff is super friendly and it is affordable. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE! I've boarded my dog here 3 times within the last few months. First two times she came back with infected paws. This 3rd time she had cuts on her rear paws and they would've become infected if she stayed any longer. Staff ignored my request to put her cone on over night to prevent paw licking. They do not follow your feeding instructions. They couldn't give me a confident answer if she had eaten or not when I picked her up and they told me she ran out of food which surprised me as I always pack more food than what's needed for the stay. I question if the animals are ignored by staff too, the dogs outside are free roaming and I've never seen a staff member out there. All these issues under "New Management". Avoid this place if you care about your pets. read more

We LOVE Old Farm and their staff! Staff is filled with amazing, caring, and personable people who absolutely love your dog like it's their own. I've been taking my boy Bubba here since he was a puppy and he has grown up coming here for the last 2 years. He absolutely loves the staff members (almost more than me), gets so excited when he hears "daycare", and always comes home sleepy from playing all day. He is a tank around 170 pounds or so now, and has so many friends his size to play with. I bring my dog Bosco here pretty often due to work. I judge a place like this based on how they remember my dog and how my dog reacts when I drop off or pick up. I can tell they love my dog because they get excited whenever they see him and they all remember him without hesitation. I can tell Bosco really enjoys coming here too because he wags his tail and isn't reluctant at all. On top of all that, the prices are some of the best in town. read more

**Update** We left our pup here for a long weekend (Thursday - Monday) and upon pick up noticed all 4 of her paws are raw, red, and weeping. Poor thing is limping and very miserable in her cone. I feel so bad for her and we're having trouble getting her in to see a vet due to limited availability. I'm really disappointed and frustrated that no one at the facility noticed her licking or limping. If they had called us, we would have been able to schedule a vet appointment for our return. I still love the heart and spirit of this facility but there is a lack of detail oriented care and I'm doubtful we'll be returning. read more

Very caring stuffs, our dog always treated nice by them. My dog loves go there, we usually go three times a week and he gets excited when we are close to the gate. They will put dogs that don't get along in different yards, so every dog can have their fun time. When you pull up out front, you can tell that this place is a bit informal. All the more to love. Old Farm Pet Resort offers day care services, but my sweet pup goes for a bath and a brush. The cost is reasonable compared to other places, and they give them lots of love and attention. I highly recommend their services. I have been taking my dog Mattis to Old Farm Pet Resort for Day care and boarding for a year now! They are like family and the only people I trust around my fur baby! The prices are the most reasonable I have seen, I get the monthly pass for day care and it is a steal. The boarding is reasonably priced as well, The owner offers different kinds of discounts, like First Responders, Multiple dogs, if you pay in cash... etc. The facility is HUGE, they have 3 different yards, I like that they let you take a tour, I didn't realize how big it was until I went back on a tour. They actually interact with the dogs, some of the staff even have nicknames for Mattis, They all treat him as if he is their own. They have pools in the summer and do bubble machines, they really make it fun for the dogs! Mattis has made friends at camp (some girlfrfiends too) He has been so much more confident and happier since I have taken him here. I have dropped him off for boarding a few times, Once was actually for an emergency and it was last minute, the staff was so amazing and able to squeeze him in last minute. They really try to accommodate your needs. In November of last year, Mattis was in an accident and injured his leg, I was home with him for 2 days and had no idea how I would care for him since I couldn't take all the recovery time he needed off from work. Without skipping a beat, the owner called and said "You bring him in, we will take care of him" I tried to explain that it would be a difficult task, he couldn't be around other dogs, he had to stay off of his back legs, there were medications to be administered and again she said "You bring him in, we will take care of him" They took him in, had a bed set up for him in the office, they were so patient and gentle with him, they took care of the medicine and made sure he was comfortable and got extra loves while I had to work, This helped me out so much and I couldn't believe the kindness they showed me and Mattis during a rough time. The staff is young and fun, some of them will send picture and videos playing with him and it just warms my dog mama heart to know my baby boy is safe, healthy and happy when I am away. read more

We came into town with poor planning on what to do with our dogs while we picked up our RV. We called early that morning and asked if they could come for day care for a few hours. Absolutely, they said. They wanted a socializing session first. They said we could keep the dogs there as long as we needed and they didn't charge for the first socialization period. Wow. We paid anyway because we didn't think we would be back. They got a bath as well. We couldn't thank them enough. A little sketchy looking outside, but the staff were great and the dogs were happy. I'm happy with the dog boarding services at Old Farm. The prices are great, especially for "siblings" compared to our usual place. We boarded our two dogs for 5 nights while we went on vacation and saved a ton of money. The staff are true animal lovers, you can tell and my dogs came back exhausted, which is a good sign that they played their little hearts out. The facility is on the smaller side, and seems a little run down, but I don't think the dogs care. I love that they have lots of toys and things for the dogs to play on. We used to take our kids to another dog daycare and hated how bare the play areas were. I love this place. This is where I took my little Schnauzer Sebastian for about 2+ years, for daily day care. He loved it there. The people who work here REALLY and honestly care for your pet. I so appreciate how kindly they treated my little guy. Now about the place: great open outdoor spaces for your furry kids to play together, indoor shelter if they desire, swimming hole and kiddy pools for dips in hot weather, doggy cab service available, full grooming service, self service dog wash, shots available, as well as bath and brush, and sleepovers too. They 'go the extra mile' there. You can expect a friendly phone call to alert you if your dog has any problem, or acts like he doesn't feel good. They were even willing to give Seb his diabetes shots when I had to fly to Portland for work and had to leave him overnight. Leslie the manager and owner is fabulous and the managers Syd and Annie are amazing. Your dogs must have their shots up to date. The price is right and care is fantastic. Old Farm has good rates and they treat the dogs well. They have decent sized sleeping areas too but this whole place is on the smaller side. The dogs have an air conditioned play area with a doggy door so if they get too hot outside they can go cool off. Had a little billing trouble upon pick up on one occasion. We were charged more than originally promised and told there was nothing they could do but after talking to a manager it was resolved and the associate apologized. I will continue to bring my fur babies here. The biggest reason we go here is the cost break for two dogs in the same family sharing as kennel. read more

Took a dog to this place for 1.5 days. Came back to an unhappy doggo with kennel cough, burns on his skin and knicks on his head. Asked if they'll take care of it only to be pointed out to section 3 where you sign a waiver, which we did, so essentially because of that signature, we paid for our dog to get injured and kennel cough while we tried to have a small getaway. I'd give them 0 stars to be honest. I'd really double check and find someone better because this place is TERRIBAD. read more

As far as my dog's issues "not due to the facility condition or the caregiving", then did my dog leave the premise unattended during her stay? And I have never experienced that with any other facilities nor at home before. Anyway, I'm just sharing my experience since that's what reviews are for, right? If I could give 0 stars I would. We dropped off our dog for 4 nights, when I arrived to pick him up it at around 6:30pm everything was fine and I was not made aware of any issues that may have happened. About 30 minutes later, 7:00pm, the same time they were closing, they called me and let me know he might have some scabbing and swelling around his eyes and ears. They let me know that " he was not the aggressor" but they have no record of a dog fight happening. How would they know if he was not the aggressor if they were not aware of a fight? They were not apologetic whatsoever and I can only imagine they waited to tell me until I had left and they were closing because they knew weren't taking proper precautions or for some other reason they did not want to talk about. When I left town for a few days I needed to find a place for MJ to stay. A few coworkers suggested Old Farm pet Resort. I am very impressed by their facility. The outdoor space has lots of toys for the dogs to play on. In the summer they have kiddy pools for the dogs to play in. They have a large space for the dogs to play. The rates are very reasonable. The staff is very friendly. Most importantly, Mr Jacobs had the time of his life. I appreciate the care the staff at Old Farm gave my dog. They offer grooming, day care and boarding. We like these guys. We like them a lot. We moved from Denver about a year ago and have been using them ever since our arrival for weekend boards. We used an upscale place in Denver called City Bark that had doggie cams (and a correspondingly high price). We liked them a lot but don't miss some of these fixings when we know what we want the most for our coonhound mix is consistent care from real pet people. We find we get that here in buckets. The catalyst for this review... we boarded Lucy for a two week trip to Italy; the longest of any our boards, ever. Leslie was quick to provide updates over e-mail and arranged for us to pick-up Lucy a few minutes after closing. I'm glad we found the Old Pet Farm Resort. Another awesome summer at Old Farm! My newly adopted shepherd mix, cannot get enough of the outside pools. My older JRT is equally at home in the "littles" group & outside areas. The business is located next to a trailer business. The building itself is a little old. I requested a tour of the inside before I decided on letting my husky, Einstein, board here for about 2 weeks, while I was in South Korea. The inside is not too bad, but it is not the best. The air smells like the usual pee + dog smell. Inside the check-in area, there is a side door that leads to the bathtubs and as you walk past the tubs, the door to the kennels is right in front of you. The smaller dogs are put into smaller kennels in a separate room. The area where the big dogs sleep and eat look kind of like shelter or pound kennels. Each kennel is separated with a metal fence-like material and the dogs sleep on the cement floor, unless you give your dog a mat or blanket to sleep with. The floor was a little dirty with pee when I went on the tour. There is a door at the end of all of the kennels and that is where all of the play areas are. There are multiple outside play areas for your dog to be put in. They're all separated by metal fences and there are a couple kennels outside. I followed procedure and left my dog for a trial day (I forgot what they're called) and when I came back to pick him up he was all muddy and dirty because it happened to rain a little earlier in the day. I usually board my dog at Pet Smart, but I wanted to try something different this trip because one of the pros about this place is that your dog gets to play all day basically rather than being stuck in a kennel all day with very minimal playtime, like at Pet Smart. I left my dog for 2 weeks and apparently he adjusted well and was eating fine. The staff all really liked him, so that was great. I came to pick him up after my trip and he had lost a couple pounds, maybe from playing all day, not completely sure. I took him home and noticed that he was a little lethargic and sneezing a lot. I had taken him to the vet to get a second Bordetella vaccination before I left him at the Old Farm Pet Resort, but in the end, he came back with Kennel Cough. I was disappointed, but I do understand there isn't much the Old Farm Pet Resort can do except request all dogs have a 6-month Bordetella vaccination for all dogs. Einstein got better in about a week, but I was pretty worried because he really wasn't acting like himself. He wasn't as friendly and he was kind of reserved, but after being home for a couple weeks now, he's gone back to the way he was before the boarding. The pros about Old Farm Pet Resort are the fact that your dog gets to socialize all day, the pricing is pretty nice (I boarded Einstein for about 2 weeks for $350), and the staff are supportive and friendly. The cons are Einstein came back with Kennel Cough (when I boarded him at Pet Smart, he came back just fine) and the area is a little dingy (but dogs don't really care about that). I'm not sure if I will board Einstein at the Old Farm Pet Resort again, but the experience was not too terrible, but it wasn't too great. read more

For over a decade, we have been entrusting our family pets to Old Farm. Before finding Old Farm, we experienced the devastating death of our dog while he was being boarded at another kennel. When we got another dog, we were afraid to trust again and Leslie knew our fears. From the beginning, Leslie and the staff have been kind, caring and trustworthy with our dog. We boarded her throughout her lifetime and she was always happy when we arrived at Old Farm. They talked to her, loved on her and mourned her passing when we lost her to cancer. They are a remarkable team of kindhearted, compassionate and committed professionals. We have begun boarding our energetic one year old and she too is excited and happy to visit Old Farm. I want to give a shout out to Leslie, the owner of Old Farm Pet Resort, and her staff. I was going through some rough times and needed a place for my four huskies to stay for about 2 1/2 weeks. Leslie went above and beyond to help me and made sure all my kiddos were taken care of. When you have a pack of huskies, you also become a part of their pack. I knew they weren't going to do well being separated from me, not to mention one of them has seizures and takes meds and one of them is blind. They were all going to need a little extra care. Leslie assured me her staff was the best and they would be well taken care of. When I dropped them off the first day I was worried and wasn't sure I would be able to leave them over night. I filled out paperwork for each of them and the girl at the front counter went back over it with me. I came back later that afternoon and saw they were okay. They were missing me, but they were definitely okay. I decided to leave them overnight to see how they'd do. At first they weren't eating and the staff immediately called to let me know. They were having a hard time without me but the staff gave them a lot of attention. They would sit with them during mealtimes to get them to eat. They spent a lot of time with them and it really helped my fur babies while they were there. Anytime I called to check on them, I would give their names and the staff knew right away who they were. As I was coming and going from Old Farm Pet Resort, I observed several dogs coming and going as well. Each one would come bouncing in, excited and ready to have an amazing play day. The staff knew every dogs name that came in. As the staff would come through the door to get them they would get super excited. I didn't see one dog who didn't want to be there. That really put my mind at ease and it allowed me to go to work each day and not worry about their well being. And I did end up leaving them overnight. I also noticed the amount of staff they had outside in the play areas. The staff communicated and worked well with other staff members and they gave all the dogs a lot of attention. If your looking for a place where you can leave your fur babies for the day, or 2 1/2 weeks or even longer like I needed to, this is the place to bring them. I highly recommend the Old Farm Pet Resort to anyone who wants only the best for their fur babies. If I ever need to board my huskies again it will definitely be there. read more

Sadly, we've had a couple of places tell us not to come back, but these people understand that they're stressed out and love them very much. Nice people and you can tell that pets are they're best friends. I took my dog (Clive) to Old Farm Pet Resort last week to stay for two nights. When my husband brought him home Clive had a limp and some kind of burn on his feet and back of his leg (where he lays) one of his pads on his feet had a discharge. I gave him a long cool bath and rinsed his burns. I called the Old Farm Pet Resort to find out where he was kept and how this happened. I sent them photos of his injuries and burns. I found out he was kept in the outside K kennel (not temperature controlled) because he's a pitbull. They told me the only thing they could think of was that he had a reaction to the chemicals/ sanitizer cleaners they sprayed in the kennels. I was told they would send the pictures to the owner and they'd get back to me. This was Friday. I didn't hear back from a manager until Monday. By this time Clive was showing all the symptoms of kennel cough. I called Tuesday and asked Julie the manager for help - things were not getting better. She referred to section 3 of the waiver we signed and stated they wouldn't help. I asked to have the owner contact me. The owner Leslie called me back and said the same thing. She said she didn't know how Clive got hurt and burned and that getting kennel cough was just part of the risk of boarding there. She would not take accountability or offer any help. I was shocked at the lack of empathy and lack of willingness to help. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO OLD FARM PET RESORT. They might come back with burns, a limp, a virus, or worse. read more

I brought my beagle in for 5 days over Easter weekend. I brought his own food and bedding in. When I picked him up, they first brought out the wrong dog, and then when they did bring my dog out, he was greasy and filthy and his bedding reeked. I took him home, instantly bathed him and immediately the diarrhea and vomiting started. I've boarded my dog several times before since I adopted him two years ago and NEVER had any problems, but now I am on day 4 of super sick puppy and I am out $300 vet bills (and counting!) to figure out what happened to my dog while in their custody. When I called to complain, I was assured that the waiver I signed in order to drop him off excused them from all liability and essentially they were "sorry" I "had a bad experience," but that was pretty much it. I am sorry too. I'm sorry I believed the positive reviews. Do yourself a favor and keep your pets away from this place. read more

I will NEVER take my dog here again. I will also tell as many people as I can not to take their pet here. I dropped him off happy and excited. I picked him up and he looked depressed tale between his legs head low...that's not even the bad part. His feet were cracked a bleeding, one paw looks like a chunk had been ripped off. There is a puncture wound in her ear that was caked with dried blood AND he has kennel cough. I paid them $80 to hurt my animal. Please believe if I have to take him to the vet THEY will get the bill. I called to ask what happened the girl was like I don't know I will ask and find out. I'm not shocked no one called me back.
