I came for self serve dog wash, the receptionist took about 10 minutes ringing me up. I don't care to give you my number, email, etc. just want to wash my dog. The dog wash area was so gross. Drain clogged, dryer was so loud and didn't really dry my dog, shampoo and conditioner extremely watered down and didn't lather whatsoever. Finally, I left with a wet dog and just finished the job at home. One and done for sure.

We take all 3 of our dogs to this vet. We inquired about neutering our puppy and they scheduled an…read moreappt for bloodwork and exam. At the end of that appt they charged us $322 and told us it would be another $665 at the time of neuter. That is ridiculous they don't give a fee estimate up front. I was able to call Stone Ridge Veterinary clinic and they quoted MUCH less and they were able to quote an estimate BEFORE making me pay a dime. I realize the cost might change a little after they see him, but I doubt it will be over $900. They did allow us to cancel the bloodwork but we still had to pay $68 for an "exam" to be told the total neuter package would be over $900. Bad business and we told them we would be taking all our dogs to a different vet. They were indifferent.

Lots structures for dogs to play on. The dogs get a lot of interaction and exercise. While it took his paws some time to tough up to the hard surfaces, I appreciate that that means he's always fairly clean vs playing in dirt and gravel. They've been proactive about communicating any issues they notice on him, like his paw sensitivity which has since resolved itself. All of the employees seem to really enjoy being there and their jobs. I appreciate that they are open for pickup until 7pm! They also offer affordable upgrades for bath or pool time. I imagine this place wouldn't work out for people visiting SLC because you'd have to arrange a fecal test, vaccine paperwork, and a trial day before they'll schedule you. It's worth noting that they also don't allow unfixed/neutered dogs and since we waited 1.5 years, we weren't able to visit until more recently. The one thing I wish they had is crates to enforce some "calm down" time for our overly excitable pup.

We followed through, paid several hundred dollars for his vet exam and other recommended services, and assumed we were on the right track. Fast forward to when I called to schedule the actual grooming: I spoke with a woman who was incredibly unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. She informed me (bluntly) that no groomers were taking on new clients -- something that would've been helpful to know before spending hundreds of dollars. When I expressed that, she offered no apology. Instead, she started sharing way too much personal information about staff members being out on PTO due to various family issues. I was shocked and uncomfortable. This is a business, not a therapy session -- I was calling to schedule a service, not hear about your internal staffing problems. Despite all this, I later received a call saying one groomer was willing to see our dog after all. Great -- we scheduled the appointment, and my husband even took PTO to be available. But the day before the appointment, we got another call canceling it because the groomer now had a personal issue. When I asked to reschedule, they flatly said no. No alternatives offered. No accountability. No care. We're now left scrambling to find a new provider -- but honestly, I'm relieved. If this is how they handle communication and client service, I wouldn't feel safe leaving our dog in their care anyway. Completely unprofessional, unreliable, and clearly not equipped to handle clients with even a basic level of respect.

Hound Hearts is a god send. My dog gives four paws up & a tail wag for all the love and attention she receives from Sandy and Morgan! I am the MOST picky pet owner when it comes to vets and those who interact with my dog - and I can go to work - even in the middle of the night on a trauma call - and know I'm leaving my dog in the best hands, so I have no worries. I work crazy hours at the hospital and Hound Hearts has THE BEST daycare hours - 24 hours / 7 days a week. My girl started daycare two weeks after I adopted her; a one year old high energy herding breed. Every time I picked her up, her tail was wagging and her tongue was hanging out - she even skipped dinner sometimes because she was so tired. She would wake me up before my alarm clock because she was ready to go to daycare! I like the personal touch Sandy and Morgan give vs those bigger businesses with more dogs. I can't even explain how much my dog loves Sandy's homemade doggie cookies that she sells at the farmers markets / dog events (I'm sure taste testing for the masses makes for a hard day at daycare for my dog!). They are healthy and tasty (I've tested them myself). Bring your dog to meet Sandy and Morgan - let your dog tell you how much fun Hound Hearts is!!

You can tell she truly loves and cares for your dog. She uses the treats I provide to help him, and he always comes back with a perfect haircut. They also have a cute boutique shop.
