Hubbs came back with a matcha latte and some donuts for us to try. Matcha - not on the sweet side which i usually like Fave donut was the pistachio, then matcha bc i love anything matcha so i'm bias. Everything else was good - soft and the right amount of sweetness. The staff sounded nice and helpful when i was on the phone with my hubbs.
Came here to try the viral pistachio donut and it was AMAZING. The girl working the counter was so sweet & friendly. I also tried the Matcha Ball Donut (??), I didn't like it as much but the pistachio one is so good. The cream inside isn't too sweet, which I like :) Definitely coming back again.
Very nice donut shop. I love coconut so one of those please. The Cream Cheese look goood so one of them peeez. And last but not least one crème brûlée. This should do. They have flavored milk and coffees. There's a coupon on the backside of Stater Brothers receipts $5 off on $10 so you're welcome for that. BTW these are the BEST DONUTS EVER Only one pic sorry I ate the other two
I'm not usually a fancy donut guy, but I have been known to enjoy the occasional Sidecar donut when I have the opportunity and the lines aren't too long. I often prefer my donuts in a pink box from a shop adjacent to a liquor store, but I thought I'd give Old Ferry Donut a shot. First, I'll note that the single staff member was friendly and attentive despite being the only person present when I arrived. I was impressed by the simple decor as well, though there wasn't any seating (which is fine, I always order donuts to go anyway). Now I realize that prices are generally high in this economy, but I'm still very willing to pay good money for great food. So when I paid over $11 for three donuts, I expected something more exceptional than what I got. I tried the plain glaze (priced at $2.95) and was disappointed that it didn't taste very fresh and not much better than one I could've paid 67¢ for. After trying the chocolate crunch and cinnamon sugar donuts as well, I'm convinced I would've done just as well buying boxed donuts from the local grocery store, putting some cereal in the blender, and sprinkling that on top to get the same result. In fact, I was disappointed enough that I drove to my usual donut spot and spent $9 for 6 donuts that I knew I'd enjoy. If you fancy donuts with unique flavors, I'd find the nearest Sidecar and spend the money there instead.
Food: 5/5 Got the PB&J and Creme bailee donut. The PB&J donut wasn't overly sweet and was very tasty. You can taste the pepeanut butter and jelly. There is plenty inside the donut as well. Creme brulee was lightly sweet with custard on the inside. Both are a worthwhile option to try! Service: 5/5 Quick, attentive, very nice staff. Ambiance: 5/5 Very clean, love the color theme, many options and even a few apparel for sale.
I've tried Old Ferry donuts a couple times now and have been satisfied each time. This place is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking! I think I can safely say that the Pistachio donut is my favorite so far. The filling is so light and airy and does not have that overwhelming artificial pistachio flavor. The choco donut was also very good. Every donut I've tried has been very moist and tastes fresh. I'd also add that the service is great. The person who helped us made some great recommendations.
Didn't know what to expect my sister was placing a order and old ferry donuts popped up. A little on the pricey side but totally worth it, will definitely order again...
I came here with my sister, cause we were craving donuts. My coworker had suggested these so we wanted to try. Theres plenty of parking! so that was great! The outside is a cute brick building, gave off an old school vibe Inside is a cute donut shop. The orange decor is bright, vibrant and lively. They helped us pick out some donuts suggested us popular unique flavors. We got 2 pistachio butters since it was one of their most popular. tiramusu, peanut butter jelly, oreao, and creme brulee ALL the donuts were so fluffy/airy the fillings were so creamy and rich but NOT TOO SWEET. they actaully were flavorful! I have found that most donuts that have filling just are loaded with sugar and no actual flavor..but all of these donuts had such great flavor. I was so impressed!!!!!!!!
I stopped by Old Ferry Donut for a sweet treat, and I was not disappointed! The store offers an array of different gourmet donuts that all looked delicious. I came less than an hour before closing so a lot of flavors were sold out, but I was still able to snag the tiramisu and crème brûlée donuts. Both flavors were enjoyable but I'd say ordering the tiramisu is a MUST! This may have been one of the best donuts I've ever had (and that says a lot because I have a lot of donuts lol). They nailed the tiramisu flavor and it had everything I love about tiramisu but in donut form. The crème brûlée donut was good as well, but I wish the burnt sugar part had more of a crunch. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt for this one though because I literally ordered the last one and I'm assuming it was sitting for a bit at that point. Overall, I'd order both again and am interested in trying other flavors. I will say that the donuts are on the pricey side, but are worth it given the quality of them. The store itself is located in a large plaza with plenty of parking. There were some indoor seats and patio seats in case you want to enjoy your donuts fresh at the store. Service was also friendly and the worker taking our order was patient with me as I decided what to order.
Great customer service, very clean inside decent amount of donuts selection. The cake donuts were a little dry, but very little dry. Still very tasty. Still need to eat. The other ones I got Americano was very good not overly bitter. We definitely come again.

I was surprised when she wanted to get out of bed to drive and try donuts (she's not normally a fan). I'm skeptic of products and food being pushed by influencers, so I went in assuming Old Ferry was over-hyped. How happy I was to be proven wrong! Old Ferry is a premium product. The donuts are large; we enjoy splitting two donuts to get two flavors each. From your first bite, the taste is elevated by quality ingredients and deep yet not over-powering flavor. Be ye warned: Old Ferry may ruin run-of-the-mill donuts for you and demand all of your treat attention. Old Ferry features many unique donut flavors (e.g. Butter Pistachio, Mango, Matcha, Lemon Poppyseed). The Butter Pistachio is a perfect trifecta of taste: the complimentary combination of butter and pistachio flavor, the delicious cream filling, and the crumbly topping texture. Our other obsession is the Mango Ball, which not only features the tasty mango flavored cream inside, but includes a light dusting of mango sugar on top for added depth and texture. The Cerritos location feels like a secret right now, as it has not been busy for our two weekend visits. Seating available inside and outside with shade. Finally, Old Ferry is a late-riser's donut dream; all locations don't open until 10:30am daily.
Saw this donut spot by chance and decided to try it just based off the name. It's a small little donut shop tucked away in the back of a shopping center on South and Pioneer. They have their specialty donuts. The guy who was working was helpful and told me their top sellers. I bought the Butter Pistachio and Crème Brûlée. Both unique donuts and sweet. I'd probably go back for the Butter Pistachio and try their more traditional donuts.
Fancy donuts similar to sidecar and voodoo donuts. Picked up a chocolate donut for dessert. The donuts were fancy - which aren't really my thing, but figure to try out a new spot. Was served immediately - the staff were friendly. I grabbed the donut box and went home to try it. Unfortunately, the donut was a bit dry for me. Was hoping for a bit more moistness, but ended up having to drink a lot of milk with it. I wanted to like it, but was tough for a donut - particularly a $3+ donut. Wouldn't recommend - but perhaps some of the other donuts are better. read more

My coworkers and I wanted to share some donuts and got the peanut butter doughnut, raspberry doughnut, cream cheese doughnut, and pistachio donut. My favorite was the cream cheese doughnut because it wasn't too sweet. The staff was quick and helpful, and the inside of their shop was clean and bright. I'm not the biggest fan of donuts, but I would come back for the cream cheese doughnut! Also the donuts don't come cut, as we cut them ourselves to share! Highly recommend this place if you love unique donuts! read more

Noticed this place replaced the last Korean donut shop that used to be here, I believe? A shame because I thought the other donut shop had interesting options from photos online, but never got the chance to stop by and try them. Seeing a few multual Yelp friends try this place, decided to give it a go and I'm really glad I did! The overall aesthetic for this shop is adorable! The themeing is a rustic, old school type donut shop. Definitely gives a modern day nostalgic type feel, if you know what I mean. The store is spotless inside and out. They have kiosks that you can input your order on, and a display case so you can see what's available. My husband and I got the creme brulee, coconut, butter pistachio, and tiramisu. My top pick is the tirasmisu! All of them are good in my opinion, a bit pricey but they're definitely higher end donuts so they match the typical bakery pastry price point. They're more fluffy than your average donut, more cake-like in texture. The donuts are soft and fluffy. I found the coconut overly sweet, and the butter pistachio was good but not my favorite. It had a slight saltiness to balance out the sweetness of it, but for whatever reason I did vibe with this donut much. Felt the tiramisu with its chocolate, cocoa, and cream flavorings blended together very well. Creme brulee was also good, but not the best creme brulee donut I've ever had. The service was really great and fast! The lady who boxed our donuts was really nice and her energy was infectious! I really, really want to come back and take advantage of their $7 for 4 donut deal, but it only applies after 8pm, so I'll be back for that!! I'd like to try all the donuts on there menu and this seems like a fun way to do it, haha. read more
These donuts are pricey but fall in line with what you pay at other "gourmet" donut shops. This is not the kind of donut place where you'd get an old fashioned and a maple bar. This is where you get the fancy stuff. I purchased two donuts from a selection of over a dozen choices. I picked Choco Fudge and Tiramisu. It was a weekday afternoon with no other customers present so my order was ready in a minute. There is a small counter inside but I took my order home to enjoy. The Choco Fudge was fantastic. The donut itself was soft and fresh while the gooey, fudgy-frosted top made it taste like I was eating a fudge brownie. It was delicious but messy; I looked like a 4-year-old with a chocolate-smeared mouth when I was done. The Tiramisu had a sweet glaze with powdered cocoa on half of it. This one had an incredibly wonderful mascarpone filling. The glaze apparently was suppose to be coffee flavor but tasted more like maple probably because of the sweetness. 4.5 rounded up for donutty deliciousness. read more

I've only heard about the Buena Park location, so imagine my surprise when I saw there was one closer by in Cerritos! The inside was cute and sort of retro and the guy who helped us was really nice. The donut was tasty, but maybe a little too sweet for me. However, the filling I admit was unexpected and I really loved it. I love donuts. Pistachio donut is definitely a crowd favorite. It's in a huge plaza with lots and lots of parking so no issue with that. There's also lots of eateries for a lunch/dinner and walk over for a nice dessert. The donuts and the fillings are not too sweet compared to how a jelly donut would be like. Friends have been raving about this place so I had to give it a try. When I walked in I was underwhelmed as the presentation of the donuts in the case weren't that enticing. I was already there so I committed to trying them. The cashier was friendly and greeted us as we walked in. They had a special for 20% off half a dozen. I can't pass up a deal so I selected 6 donuts for me and my family to try: pistachio cream, cream cheese, crème brûlée, Boston cream, chocolate hazelnut, and mango. Don't let looks fool you. They didn't entice me at first but when I bit into the pistachio donut I was very impressed. The bread was so soft. I'm not sure if they fry them or not but the donuts were not oily at all to the point where it seemed to be baked and not fried like traditional donuts. The flavors I selected were okay. I was more amazed at the texture of the donuts which made it satisfying to eat. The pistachio was by far the best flavor of all the ones I've chosen. I would come back just for that one donut. Overall not bad. Glad I gave it a try. read more
A friend and I were just strolling around the plaza after lunch. I had never heard of this place before so I just wanted to stop in to check it out. Of course, I got pressured into sharing a donut. There were lot of interesting and unique flavors but I wish the variety was more expansive. I guess I'm used to the variety of a classic donut shop. This one only had about three cake donut flavors and maybe ten or so yeast donut flavors. No other styles (old fashioned, crullers, etc.) We chose the coconut glaze yeast donut with coconut shreds. Amazing! The dough was so light and airy and we were surprised by the whipped filling inside. We were not aware it was a filled donut, cream cheese from the taste of it, but with the texture of a nice whipped cream. It was not overly sweet either. Almost perfect. My only complaint is that I wish it had a stronger coconut flavor. Shop itself is cute. Small but clean. Warm and cozy. Our single donut came to us nicely packaged in a cute personal sized box and the lady who helped us was very sweet. My friend felt the donut was pricey (like just over $5). They also serve coffees and to-go style flavored milks. I don't often eat donuts but I'd definitely go back to try the choco-crunch cake donut or the raspberry filled donut. read more

So happy to see a new donut shop in Cerritos, and speciality donuts at that! Coming here is almost like an experience in itself compared to the many other donut shops in the city. Great service, clean interior, and an exciting ambiance inside. So far, I've been here a handful of times and was met with a consistent quality of service and goods. Beware! They are not your average donuts and definitely are on the pricier side. With that being said, they are delicious though. My family and I tried a variety of different flavors, yet my favorites were the butter pistachio & boston creme! The butter pistachio is one of the most unique donuts I've tried. The combination of the buttercream, pistachios, and white chocolate just go so well together. The chocolate on the donuts here is also very decadent and perfectly sweetened. read more

There are a wide variety of donuts ,something for everyone. The establishment was very nice and clean. The employee that assisted me was so friendly and helpful. I loved the retro vibes of this donut shop. It's located in a plaza with a bunch of other restaurants and shops, and we were lucky enough to find parking right in front. The donut shop has a couple of small cafe tables outside, but there's no seating inside, so keep that in mind if you plan to eat there. The donut selection has enough variety and they all looked so good. We ordered six donuts: Butter Pistachio, Tiramisu, Milk Cream, Choco Fudge, Raspberry, and Coconut. My favorites were the Butter Pistachio and Coconut, both of which are filled donuts. Like others have mentioned in their reviews, the donuts are quite pricey - we paid almost $30 for six donuts. This shop is more of a "treat yourself" kind of donut shop rather than one you'd regularly visit. However, it's definitely worth trying. read more

First time trying these donuts. Cream brulee was good, cookies and cream was ok, glaze was good but really sweet, Boston cream pie was pretty good. Also had the Real Iced Chocolate, didn't taste like chocolate at all. And didn't come with a toasted marshmallow like advertised. Bf also got the vanilla milk and said it was good. Like regular milk with a hint of vanilla. Overall it's decent, but wouldn't go out of our way to get them. read more
Stopped by and got the following: Boston cream: great custard filling. Fluffy, great texture Early grey: It was very light in my opinion. The texture of the cakey donut was good though. Crème brûlée: had the crème brûlée vibes all there. Service/vibe: very good, very friendly and kind. Stopped by the other day after lunch during soft opening. This location is in the same plaza as Pinoy Pinay, Sharetea, Smoking Tiger, etc. Plenty of parking. No line when we got there. I've already been to their Buena Park location, so I was thrilled that they opened one here. Shop is super clean, the setup is cute. Ordering is easy, you can order at the counter or at the self-serve kiosks. They have all the usual flavors. I'm not a huge sweets person, so I think it's pretty dope they offer a non-filled version of their popular donuts. Needless to say, I got the Butter Pistachio non-filled donut. The donut is super fluffy and airy. Their butter pistachio frosting/top is top tier. It's just sweet enough with a nice pistachio crunch. I'm excited to see Old Ferry Donut in Cerritos. I remembered them at The Source in Buena Park. I ordered a Boston Cream Donut to share since we were heading to Meet Fresh next door. I'm not sure why it tasted "sour" perhaps it's almost the end of the day, and they left it out all day??? But it was gross. Took 2 bites and through it out. Fancy regular donut shop with few selections. read more

Open Late night for a donut shop! I was intrigued by the huge sign outdoors advertising random box of four for $7! Happy to try it - helped by a friendly lady out front who also asked about nut allergies - ( very helpful to prevent anaphylaxis!!!) as the other gentleman placed the random box together. I came home with : 1 - a sesame seed coated cake donut - 7.5/10 only because I don't really like cake donuts 2- a chocolate glazed and cocoa powdered raised donut with a cream filling - 9/10 3 - a pistachio cream 4- chopped peanuts over a raised donut I still have to eat the last two so I packed them individually in airtight containers to enjoy with my breakfast. read more

Great staff, they prepared my donut quickly and delivered it kindly! I tried the raspberry glaze donut and I think it's a great option if you're looking for something "lighter" and less sweet than some of their more filling donuts. Great dough texture and perfect balance of sweet/tart on the raspberry frosting! read more

I had been hearing a lot about this place from friends and seen pictures and videos of this place, so decided it was time to give it a try after a work session at nearby Smoking Tiger. PARKING: Tons of it. WHAT I ORDERED: * Butter pistachio donut * Lemon poppy seed donut FOOD + DRINKS The lemon poppy seed was light, tart, and fresh, but for me the star of the show was the butter pistachio donut! I was very pleasantly surprised at how it wasn't too sweet, and it was slightly salty. The filling was irresistable and the topping made for an interesting mix of textures against the perfectly cooked donut. SERVICE: The employee who helped us was super nice and answered questions we had about the donuts. VIBES: SO CUTE! There was some seating available inside and outside for those who want to hang out there, but I was in love with the aesthetics of the place. BOTTOM LINE: It may be pricy for a donut, but for a gourmet donut experience, I don't think it's that out of the ordinary. Give it a try! read more
