It's not the donuts shops fault, they were very apologetic and they were trying to work thru it exclaiming to us that pest control was on their way to solve this problem, security guard was letting us know that somewhere the bees have a hive and was hoping to get rid of it safely. The donuts have the perfect amount of crunchiness on the outside with a soft, fluffy inside. I always compare other donuts to these and they are never as good. My favorite donuts here are the maple bar, chocolate bar, and devil's food cake. The jalapeño ham and cheese croissant is also one of my family's top choices! Knead closes at 1pm on weekdays (Monday closed, till 9pm Sat & Sun), and being approximately 30 minutes to close, two boxes of assorted donuts were left to choose from. Knead's Dubai Chocolate donut was a whopping $8! I tried to haggle the price down, both individually or with another donut, to no avail. No way was I planning to buy a whole box, either. Prices vary around $6-$8. Aware prices have gone up everywhere, that's still too much, in my summation, for donuts. In addition, not being a big donut guy, I don't foresee being a frequent customer. Knead Donuts does sell beautifully crafted donuts, which would satisfy even the most critical sugar junkie, but with premium pricing attached to each donut, can't justify the money spent, for my needs.

In fact, I stopped in again on my way back to the Los Angeles area and got a strawberry frosted and an orange frosted donut. On this stop, they made for breakfast. With the social dynamics and related have-have not problems in SoCal, it seems businesses are guarding their restrooms more vigilantly ... or not providing restrooms at all. I came at the end of the day, and the senorita bread was still available, hot and fresh! They're also open at 6am, which is great if I want a warm snack for the team at work. They close at 6pm; however, they have their mochi donuts, malasadas, and donuts at 50% off in their last hour of operation (5p-6p). Coming in at 5pm, I was able to get three mochi donuts for $5, and a malasada for $1.29. It's reasonable at full price, but it's a steal at happy hour!
