Love Mochinuts, donuts with a mochiko flour I assume to give them that mochi Chewy texture. They have a number of various flavors that are updated and nice to be able to try them all. They now have donut holes as well, which was something they did not have before. Get a variety dozen for $5.50 to try your favorites, before buying full Mochinuts. The staff was friendly, no issues at all, the spot inside was clean, minimalist and modern. Nice little spots to enjoy them there if you like or take them to go. My favorites are the Maple and Ube Mochinuts, but really all are pretty good and worth trying to see which ones you will like best. First tried these in Vegas a number of years ago, glad to see they are slowly getting locations around in California. I'm all about fairness, so after a not-so-great experience with this store a few years ago, I figured it's only right to update my review based on my recent visits and honestly, they've been great. We haven't had their mochi donuts in a while, but we always come back for their Korean rice flour hotdogs. They are always made fresh to order, hot, crispy, and super satisfying. The price is good too, especially for the quality you're getting. Our personal favorites are #1 and #2. The cheese pull never gets old, we seriously look forward to it every time! Don't forget to ask for a dusting of sugar, it does add a nice extra flavor. If I'm picking up a bigger order, I usually call ahead and it's ready when I get there. Happy Lunar New Year, I wanted to pick up a treat on my way to a family dinner and wanted to get a variety of the donut flavors. I opted for the Donut holes and was told the flavors for the wholes are preselected. The location was fairly busy but the wait to order and pick up was reasonable. I came here when it was still Chun Chun Rice Hotdog / Mochinut, and I thought it was okay. Now that it's just Mochinut, I think it's a lot better! I got the Ddeokbokki with Cheese & Original Dog, Thai Milk Tea, and Green Milk Tea. The Ddeokbokki with Cheese & Original Dog was perfect. The Ddeokbokki with Cheese had perfect chewy rice cakes, sweet and spicy sauce, and a good amount of cheese. The Original Dog was chopped up and ready to be thrown into the Ddeokbokki. I thought they would give it to me already assembled, but I love how they give it to you separately so the Original Dog doesn't get soggy. The Thai Milk Tea and Green Milk Tea were delicious and not served in the usual cans. The employees were nice! I only spotted two employees; one taking orders and one making the orders. It was a bit later at night so I understand. The cafe was clean despite the constant amount of people coming in and out and the people ordering and sitting. Such cute and delicious donuts. The flavors here are great and I absolutely love the texture of mochi donuts. They have rotating flavors, but my favorite is the cookies & cream and dark chocolate. These are great because the donut isn't sweet, but rather the frosting on top, which makes a perfect balance. We also tried the hot Cheeto mozzarella dog and it wasn't the best. It was soggy and not crunchy at all. I'm not sure why this happened, but I wouldn't get that again. The service whenever I come here is pretty monotone to be honest. From the times I've been, it hasn't been cheerful or enthusiastic. Another thing that sucks is that you can't get the donuts individually, it has to be a 6 pack or more, which is odd. It would be better if we could get individuals or less than 6 because it can get costly and not everyone wants that many. If you're on the fence, then I'd say give the donuts a try. read more

Came back to try the new mochinut filled donut balls. I got creme brulee, cookies n cream, strawberry, and mango. Once again, no singles could be sold and that really bugs me. We recently found out that these donuts are not gf sadly so my husband can't eat them and i had to buy 6 just to try 1! And they go stale so quickly. Unfortunately the filling in these was weirdly tasteless. I ate the creme brulee one and didnt really notice any custard flavor (the filling was there! Just wasnt a strong flavor) but i thought it was just a fluke. Then i had cookies n cream and it was sweeter, but that was really the only flavor, just sweetness. I will still try the fruit flavors but unfortunately in this case for me it was a waste of money. I would rather they charge more for one (like $6), so that the offer of the 6pc is more of a discount per ball (in this case its $14 for 6 which works out to a little over $2 each). I went recently with my husband, my mom and my little sister to check this place out since this location was closer to all of us than the one in K-town. To summarize: service was good considering there were two guys doing all the work (I'm assuming they were closing up the store that day). We got our drinks and donuts in a timely manner which we all appreciated! The shop is small, with just enough room to have a seat to wait for your order and a long hallway that leads to their bathroom. My family and I liked the drinks much better than the donuts. My husband got the vanilla espresso latte which he really liked. My mom and I both got the lavender matcha which was really earthy and yummy! We like our matcha that way so if you don't like it that way then I don't recommend it. My sister got a Thai tea and all four of us thought it tasted like the authentic one you get from those hole in the wall Thai restaurants, which are always really delicious. The donuts weren't the best because they were oily and overall the taste wasn't the best for us. We would definitely come back for the drinks! This place is really cute but pretty small. It is in the heart of Cerritos so you will hit traffic in area and may drive around to find a parking during peak times on weekends. The menu is pretty diverse. They sell Korean corndogs, boba, and mochi donuts. We ordered a box of 6: Red Velvet, Birthday Cake, Nutella, Thai Tea, and Original. We doubled up on a few. We also ordered a Ube and Thai Tea boba drink. Everything tasted great and our drinks came in cool plastic soda cans. The corn dog was crispy and cooked perfect. I could eat them all day. They also have a variety of sauces on the side to pick from. They sell mochi donuts as well but they only sale by half dozen or full dozen only so you can't just walk in and buy one or two. I think you should be able to get as much or as little as you want but hey i don't own this place. While i was there the donuts were the biggest sellers. I saw about 10+ boxes going out during my 30 minute stay. I was impressed, they must be super good. They do offer boba. This location is right across from the lucilles BBQ plaza area to get an idea were its at because you can't really see it from the streets. I loved loved coming here because I had a long drive from Westwood working a 12 hour shift. Me and my gf would buy a box of 6 mochi donuts, because I could get at least 3 flavors left over. I guess I wouldn't recommend going here anymore if it's late and near closing because they have like 2 flavors left and seriously only like 10 qty donuts.
