    The Reuben sandwich platter.

A couple multi engine students and I flew up from Indianapolis Indiana to here at Ludington Michigan for a cross-country lesson. When we get to the airport, we asked the attendant what's his recommendation for late lunch? He stated the old Hamlin restaurant. One student got the Reuben sandwich, the other student got chicken fingers, and I chose the lasagna. We all enjoyed what we had ordered, but I just want to say the lasagna was awesome. Comes with a slice of homemade garlic bread and one trip to the salad and soup bar.

The food was yummy, service was great, and the environment was relaxed. Love the homemade bread!

Cleared our plates and the waiter exclaimed, "Wow, we won't be needing any boxes today." I felt very accomplished.

Wow. Just wow. I have being going to Old Hamlin for many years now and the service never disappoints. All of the waiters hustle to bring out the food and treated us with the kindest spirit. The ambience is very old and musty but I love it. Plus the food was amazing, My family and I will definitely be back in the future.

How rude the old Hamlin is to people My mom left a $5 tip for five people because that is all she had left.

The Old Hamlin is not a great place to eat the people are very rude there and if you don't leave a big enough tip they will yell at you My mom only had $5 left to her name and she left it as a tip she left crying this is how they treat people Yes I did take a personal phone call but it was very quick My son only asked me one question it did not make anybody uncomfortable and the lady came out screaming at me I would not recommend eating here The food is not great The spaghetti has no taste The meatballs are not fresh and the service is crap!!!!!!!!! They like to make kind of ladies cry!!!!!!

Old Hamlin hit our radar the weekend we were in town and will be our go to when we visit Ludington. Service was fantastic! Food fantastic! And you will not find a water spot on any of the silverware. When a restaurant pays attention to details like that you found the place. The salad bar was super fresh and we ate there four times, tried various dishes and were not disappointed. Laid back atmosphere. Prices were very reasonable for what we had.

Absolutely loved this restaurant. The pictures on the walls are a wonderful tribute to Ludington history. The food was AMAZING!!!!!! A must try is the homemade bread! We got the turkey sandwich' could have shared it because it was a very generous portion. Our waitress was very friendly & helpful. She made sure we didn't want for anything. And don't forget the pie!!!!! OMG!!!!! Seriously sooooo good!!!

There is a wait because the food is amazing, and everyone knows it, we are happy to wait our turn to get in to eat multiple times a week because it's like a home away from home, only with better food. Another huge plus here besides the amazing food and friendly staff is the turn around time on food. Idk what kind of magic they do in the kitchen but the food is always ready in the blink of an eye. Ask for a side of the chipotle ranch, trust me, it will change your life. All year round this is my go to place to eat, the soups are better than I could ever make, the stuffed hashbrowns are amazing, their Bloody Marys are perfect! So good, you may have to wait cuz everyone knows how good it is, but I promise it's worth it! Put in your name, go browse around town, enjoy the experience!

We went on a Monday at 11am and every table was full with more people coming. If you plan on going on the weekend, expect a wait. The outdoor sitting area is where it is at, inside looked very outdated. Hopefully they will be able to upgrade soon!

The quality is there, and worth the price. We ordered the BLT, which came piled with bacon, and the brisket sandwich. Both were delicious. The house chips and dip are great and they sell the dip from the case, too. Food came out quickly and hot. Not much of an ambience, you're sitting in a grocery store basically. There is a small bar area if you're into that.

While it's further out from the downtown, it's worth the drive (and you need to get groceries at Meijer anyway right?) You order at the counter and can sit inside (very cold AC) or on the outdoor patio and they use a buzzer system for you to come up and get your food. You self bus your dishes at the end. The fish portions are generous (honestly better value than the other fish fry place in town) and the coleslaw and fries are great. You can get the fish grilled as well which you just have to ask for. The kids meals have a rib meal option which is amazing so we sampled our kids' ribs and loved them. Very casual, you can grocery shop for jerky and cheese and more while waiting - and they have high chairs and clean restrooms.

The ice cream is that good, and the history and story behind the building make this place such a fun stop. It's easily become one of our all-time favorite ice cream shops! I got the Eskimo Kisses and my husband got the Peanut Butter Bull's-Eye, and both were absolutely incredible. The ice cream here is seriously 100 out of 10. I got mine in a waffle cone, and that was probably the only slightly disappointing part. The cones are pretty small, and honestly, it wasn't my favorite waffle cone compared to some others I've had. But the ICE CREAM makes up for it and then some! There is pretty much always a line here, no matter what time of day you go, but they are incredibly efficient. They move people through quickly, so even when the line looks long, you aren't standing around forever. The inside is so cute and quaint, almost like stepping into an old-fashioned diner or soda fountain. It's bright, fun, clean, and has so much character. I'm still kicking myself that I've never actually stopped here for breakfast or lunch because I've heard their food is worth trying too. One of these days! We ordered from the ice cream side, where they have all of the cones and ice cream treats listed. I didn't see milkshakes and some of the other things you might expect at an old-fashioned ice cream shop on that side, although I'm pretty sure you can get more options if you sit down and order from the restaurant side. If you're in Ludington, you absolutely have to stop at House of Flavors. The ice cream is fantastic, the atmosphere is so much fun, and the history makes it even more special. We came back a year later for a reason, and we'll definitely be back again!

The place seemed busy but luckily there was no wait time. There was a lot of vegetarian options and mostly each combination was available as a salad, wrap or a sandwich. This place has started as an ice-cream shop. They hold a lot of records including one in The Guinness Book of World Records and it shows in their elaborate ice-cream selection.we ordered vanilla with butterscotch and raspberry rendezvous and liked both. Prices are reasonable too. Definitely worth a visit when in town. PS : we walked by the restaurant's ice-cream shop side in the evening again and there was a queue extending to over a block :)
