Rich doesn't do what he says he is going to do and he doesn't respect your time. He will tell you that he will get something done in a certain amount of time and if something else comes along that he feels is more important, he will let your car sit while he completes another job. The time he tells you that it will take him to complete your job doesn't really matter to him as long as he got your car in his shop. He simply over-books himself at the expense of your time and money. He told me my car would be ready at a specific time so I had a friend bring me to Old Man Automotive to pick it up. When I got there, Rich was working on another car and told me he just couldn't get to mine. When I asked him why he didn't call instead of allowing me to travel all the way to his shop to find out my car wasn't ready, he said, "I was just about to call you." Yeah, where have we heard that before? I was there on time. Even if he called when he said he was just about to, it would have been too late because I was already there. I had to drive 15 miles back home and then back again with a friend to pick it up the next day. That's poor business. I've decided not to deal with Rich at Old Man Automotive ever again. Incidentally, he didn't fix my car so it was there for a week with no positive results. My hope is that my review will be seen by Rich at Old Man Autobody and cause him to think twice before providing such poor customer service to another customer, thereby taking the chance that he'll earn another poor review. read more

bad communcation. took my truck on a Monday to fix a battery issue waited about a day and called for an update he told me I was next up waited another day and I heard nothing so I called again on wendsday told me I was up next and thursday Once again didnt hear from them decided to go Friday and saw they didnt even touched my truck or moved it asked for the keys and the guy said he was getting ready to pull it in but I got the keys and left anyways. When I was getting quotes to send my car by tow to a shop that would be available asap and called Old Man Automotive, the owner answered fast and then he calmed me down and took the time right then to address my needs. By the end of the conversation, I had a plan and within hours, car was in his shop. He and his team took the time to fix my car right and directly. They actually drove our car out to us in the country! We have given it some time on checking everything on car and wow, our jet flys strong again! In late July my gmc truck broke down so I towed it to an auto shop in PV they told me the engine needed to be replaced and quoted me a very high price. I found Old Man Automotive online and called and spoke to Rich he agreed to look at it and give me a quote wich was more reasonable. I agreed to let him do the job he said he would order a rebuilt engine and replace it with a warranty. He ordered the parts and told me it would be about a week to ship to him and about another week or so to install it. Two weeks went by and he told me the engine was lost in the shipping process. The parts finally arrived and he installed the engine. He then told me after he started it up there were problems he would have to troubleshoot. Later he said he would have to take apart the engine to see if he could find out what was wrong. He later told me the engine was bad and would have to order another one. This is after I paid them for parts and labor he requested cash payment so I obliged. So he ordered another engine it came and he installed it. He later called me told me it was done and everything was good and that he took it for a thorough test drive so I went to pick it up and my way home from Prescott valley to Prescott and it started acting up doing the same things it was doing before and I broke down on the freeway it did manage to start up again so I was trying to get it to my home and it broke down over by Fry's food. I sent him a text that Thursday night told him what the problem was I didn't hear from him until I finally got a hold of him the next Tuesday and he said while I was just about to call you. So he offered to come to my house and do a scan on it and see what was going on. This is after I took it to a shop down the street from my house and they did a scan and informed me showed me the scan that it was engine and transmission. I truly believe the transmission was ruined because of the work he did on the engine but I can only speculate because I am not a mechanic. So on Tuesday when he finally answered the phone he offered to come to my house and scan it again and said he would do it after work but he didn't show up I called him the next day and he said yeah well I'll be there today same time and waited he never showed up so I sent him a text later tell him I wanted a refund for my money so I could take it somewhere else to get it fixed and he did respond to that one that seemed to get his attention when I requested a refund and he told me he can't give me a refund because the work is done and the engines under warranty so I really don't know what to do 4 months later I have a beautiful truck that's sitting in my driveway nothing to show for it. In retrospect I guess $10,000 is not a whole lot of money but I can't afford to eat it read more
