Small park close to mill valley restaurants and shopping businesses. There's a play structure for younger kids and four swings. Seems to be a popular place for professional photo shoots because of the beautiful redwoods. There isn't dedicated parking and on street parking which can be challenging to find based on the time and day, since there's an elementary school and a church next to the park.

Great little park that feels like your away from the world. Lots of redwood trees and a creek. There was also a Shakspeare play playing near by. Great for dogs.

Our dog after being dried off after a long afternoon of wading, running, and frolicking in the creek (on leash).

This is a gem! The park goes on for blocks and is well maintained. There are restrooms, a play area, bar-b-ques, and an amazing creek that flows through it. The paths are easy walking and dogs are allowed on leash. It is shaded by beautiful, majestic Redwoods, and meanders behind the Library, and along the creek providing lots of areas for playing, picnicking, and taking in the flora and fauna. The play structures are great and very close to the restrooms. The paths and stairs are easily accessible. Street parking can be a challenge depending on the day and time of day, but I've not had a problem finding a spot within a few blocks. The amphitheater is available for rent and hosts some interesting and fun plays, performances, as well as private events and weddings. Out dog loves the creek and the shade. We love that it isn't too crowded most of the time. Enjoy.

It was a very cute park. We went for the last Movie in the park. It was our first time. I love that there was a little park and bathrooms. Reminds me of the Drive-ins. I would go again but more prepared and sooner. Get there to get a seat and give the kids time to play. We left early, but will try again when it starts up again. The park however is in good shape and a great place for children of all ages. It's clean and friendly

Decent park. Nothing too magnificent, but conveniently located at the dipsea trail head. There were some strange things about the park, though. Beautiful plastic (?!?!) autumn leaves scattered around the grounds...... and some people in the distance who looked like they were re-enacting scenes from the crucible.

This is an awesome park that I've sadly only spent time in a few times. Yesterday I loved watching a free (great) performance by the Curtain Theater company (who offers a series of annual summertime performances in the beautiful Old Mill Park Amphitheater). We ate a picnic, relaxed, and enjoyed the show under a canopy of trees, near a creek.

I seriously cannot believe that this doesn't have 5 stars!!! It is by far one of the most beautiful parks I have been to and soooooo much fun!!! I have a two year old and he loved the play structure, the swings but most of all the trees and the river. It is GORGEOUS and the river is shallow enough to let my 2 year old safely play there. There is also an open space where older kids where playing ball. This is for sure a park for all ages and has a beautiful spot for picnics.

It's tranquil. Beautiful. Quiet. And full of peace. It's a great place to read, walk talk or see dogs and humans shuttle to and from.

We got married in this beautiful park on the stage. Lovely little redwood grove hidden behind the library.

If you drive there and park on the road, just look for what looks like a small pathway or paved little alley between two houses --- that's the entrance. No bathrooms... not even sure if there's a water fountain... (can't recall and don't live there any more)... but just the sweetest little spot to take small children! There are two separate fenced play spaces and one large grassy lawn. One play area is for toddlers, the other for older children. You are unlikely to encounter playmates at this park, so bring a friend! What you will find is shade on a summer's day and a spot where (if you have a dog as well as children) you can bring the whole family.

Although we can't play social sports for the time-being, we can still go outside for a little R & R. Thanks God for Brickyard Park. This property (which is owned by the Strawberry Rec. Dept.) is a hidden beach, children's playground, picnic ground, all rolled into one. For me and my dog, it's our own private oasis. We'll walk here, sit on a bench, and soak in the sun and serene bayside views. It's a great spot to watch seals playing in the water and paddle boarders doing their thing with glorious Mt. Tam in the background. It's picture perfect. In challenging times like these, beautiful spots like Brickyard Park give me solace and hope. This place doesn't draw tons of visitors, nor does it exist to make money off admission or parking fees. It's just a lovely park whose sole purpose is to bring joy and peace to folks in the area. What's not to love about that? So if you're looking to commune with nature, type Brickyard Park into your GPS and reward yourself with some much needed moments of zen. You'll thank for me it later.

The playground is well-kept with two slides and a fun boat motif. There are two swings for children under 5. No dogs allowed. There is a surprisingly clean handicap accessible port-o-let (easy for a parent & child to go into together). The only real downside i can see is that the park is open to the waterway, with just a mini stone wall separating the playground with the beach. The kiddos listened and didn't go past the wall... but the wall certainly wouldn't have stopped them. Logistics: when driving to the park, you have to keep your eye out for a small walkway that heads down a cement path to the park. Not a far walk from the car!

Flabbergasted by all these 5 star reviews...? I've been to many Playland's in the greater Bay Area…read moreand I have to be brutally honest, this Playland in Sausalito, California is by far the worst. I traveled all the way to Playland Sausalito from the South Bay with my 5 year old son for my cousins 5 year old son's birthday party. Upon exiting and making a left her and a left there I found myself driving through an old, dusty, shoddy, dirt road, with barrack style bungalows up into an old, spooky gymnasium. I'm assuming they're using 'Playland' in the school's old gymnasium. Is the school still open? I do not know, but from the looks of it, I doubt it. Just looked run down and unkept to be actually open on a day-to-day basis. I'm giving Playland Sausalito a 1 star review because mostly everyone from my cousins party ended up catching either the flu or some variation of the stomach bug that's been going on. Depending on if you were an adult or a child that kind of dictated your symptoms. After calling and asking around if anyone else from the party got sick I was not surprised to hear that, yes other people in attendance got sick. In addition to getting sick, the overall venue was kind of run down and seemed like it's on it's last leg. A few inflatables, a few balls to kick around, 2 pop-a-shot basketball hoops (one didn't work), and a cold gloomy atmosphere. Nice! I understand what Playland Sausalito is trying to do in terms of providing a safe fun-filled place for children to have parties and hang out with friends and family but if children and adults are getting sick than that's defeating the purpose. Maybe it was a one time thing or others have gotten sick at this establishment but I think lack of attention to detail, sanitary practices, and overall kind of just a dingy, ordinary, throw a few balls and inflatables in here and call it a 'Playland' is lame and dangerous. Also, when I called Playland to ask a question as to if they are open or not? (says they are closed on Yelp unless it's a private party), the guy that answered the phone said "Hello".. LoL, not "Thank you for calling Playland how can I help you" so I had to ask the guy "Is this Playland?". Not professional dude. In hindsight, as I was oblivious of what was to come the days after the party, I made a comment to my cousin that they were having another party right after us and I didn't see them doing any kind of sanitary wipe downs or anything. Yikes! In conclusion, I probably won't be coming back again and if you were thinking on planning a party for your little one here, I'd look around some more for I'm sure there are other venues that offer more bang for your buck. Do I recommend, No.

Really an ideal location for a park! Plenty of parking whether you park in the lot or along the road. When we went, there were ample porta-potties and portable hand-wash basins just outside the fences, and there are permanent bathrooms at the tennis courts nearby. Besides the fenced-in playground, there's a larger park with ample grassy areas, tennis courts, a baseball field, I think a soccer field, picnic tables with barbecue (BBQ) pits, and a small pond with a walking path around it.
