Watermill offers pours by-the-glass of bottles that they have already opened for the day. The white wine recommended to me by our server was their Chardonnay, which was light, crisp and refreshing on a hot summer afternoon. This was the perfect stopping point on a longer road trip. Wished it stayed $15/flight but I guess I can understand why they have to raise their price now. Red flight, everything is decent. But the most memorable one is the Hallowed Stones Cab! The taste is so complex! Notes of some smoked meat, flowers and dried orange peel... i need a whole bottle of it to get the full experience of it! The cheeseplate has some very decent cheeses that compliment the wine! The applewood smoked cheese pairs so well with the merlot oh my gawd! Our server was friendly! When we first arrived it was slow so we get to talk and took our time. But slowly it got busier and the entire house has only her at the front so we felt a little overlooked and we didn't even get our water refilled the entire time. Not her fault since the place got busy and she has no help (it's on the business owner!) Would come back again next time in town!

The wines are priced just right to take one home and open for a meal. We joined the wine club as it's an even better deal. My husband likes to pick up his meat from the market and then grab a bottle of wine for dinner. I'm enjoying the summer whites and especially the Rose right now. They are always very friendly there and there's a lot of wines to choose to taste from. You can also buy food in the market and bring it there and enjoy a glass of wine with it. We are members of several other WA wine clubs and while I enjoy a lot of their wine which is very high quality it's just a bit too pricey to be drinking it regularly so nice to have this little local winery for casual drinking.

My tasting included pours of their pinot gris, rose, cabernet sauvignon, a Stemilt Creek cab franc and a bold "GST" red blend. They were all wonderful, but the pinot gris was the best I've ever had. No really - I'm already home in Bham and kicking myself for not getting more. The service was also top notch. Owner Cindy was so friendly, answering my questions and making me feel at home. I'll definitely be adding Archibald James to my winery rotation next time I'm in Leavenworth.

Also--they had just got in a frozen slushie machine and I got a cider slushie and it was AMAZING. It was a perfect beverage for a hot day. They switch up the types of ciders for the slushie machine, I think mine had a peach flavor and something else. We had some tastings of their regular cider too and it was all delicious. I wish I had more room in my suitcase to have bought more bottles. They had one that she likened to a champagne for the way it was made--it was drier and very good. Not like other ciders I've tasted. Wish I would have got that bottle too! Oh well now I just have to come back to Leavenworth :)

We're not big fans of Riesling in general but the white Riesling here was phenomenal! Was not very sweet which we appreciated and overall very refreshing. We also really enjoyed the Syrah! Had a bit of a Smokey tone to it while still being light. Overall, we loved our tasting and will be back! We've been to almost every tasting room in Leavenworth on numerous visits and can't believe we hadn't stopped by before.

The individuals pouring the wine were very accommodating and made our experience enjoyable. We tried a mix of red and whites with the whites standing out for us a bit more than the reds. The tasting fee was quite reasonable at 10 dollars a tasting for six wines. While not all wines may be available for tasting, they have quite the selection from dry to sweet whites, pinots, blends, and of course a couple merlots and cabs. I'm not usually much of a white drinker but their chardonnay was actually quite nice. We look forward to stopping by here again on our next trip.

They have some high tables with stools to sit on. Its a decent sized space but it fills up fast. They only had two people on staff which means there was always a wait. It made it hard for them to spend any time explaining the wines for tasting. A tasting is 20$ and you get to sample 4 wines. My favorites where the white merlot(not actually a white) and the hot mulled wine. The bottles are priced way to high for the average person to buy one.

It tasted all natural and had the elegance and delicacy of a fine wine. With the Cornice flavor features to expect are a light, tart apple flavor with a well balanced sweetness and dryness the Cornice was nothing short of amazing. Definitely looking forward to more ciders from Snowdrift in the future for sure!
