Eeek. I went to Old Navy today. There were, no joke, like three shoppers in the whole store... and at least four employees (that I could see). And yet somehow, not a single one was doing anything remotely helpful (except the slow cashier). I picked out a few things, grabbed some "no-show" socks, and headed to the register... where I ran into a family of five who appeared to be outfitting themselves for the end of days. The cashier was beeping items like she was stuck in a never-ending video game: beep. beep. beep. beep. beep. beep. It. Never. Stopped. beep. beep. beep. beep. Clothes just kept coming. I don't even know where from. Armpits? Pockets? Alternate dimensions?? Hangers were everywhere. And I'm standing there like a mannequin with a pulse, watching this whole saga unfold. And here's the kicker: ONE cashier. Literally no one else even glanced my way. Like... hello? To the three or four employees pretending to do things out on the floor--come check me out. I exist. I have socks. After nearly ten minutes of standing there, I laid my stuff on the earrings rack and I left. I only had an hour at the shopping center, and Old Navy stole ten minutes of it with their customer service void. Rude. read more

I don't really ever shop at Old Navy but I found these really great stretchy jeans and they have pretty cheap workout clothes so I had gone a few times recently. There is or was a sale that CLEARLY said "30 percent off your entire purchase" I read, I comprehend but I also know humans are idiots and don't read or comprehend. If I worked in retail- I would prepare all cashiers to repeat that sale message at the beginning of each transaction- "So, today you know your total is going to be 30 percent off, right?" There was 2 registers opened/ The manager or whatever said she wasn't going to open. Great. I think I stood there for a good 20 mins waiting. WHY? Oh because the cashiers are slow, they act as if their soul has been sucked out of them and are low energy. They cant explain the sale to any customer. They don't know how to handle angry customers that cant read. So, got to stand there for all that time waiting and waiting and when I thought to myself "surely, this customer isn't going to do the thing the other one did, they did" and the cashier couldn't explain or stop the customer from going on and on. On top of the fact they were also taking returns at these same registers that were backed up... If the manager, who wouldn't ring, took the time to tell her cashier's to say "so, today your total will be 30 percent off" At the beginning of each transaction that probably would save a lot of headaches. Or. If she did the returns and let the other two ring-- we wouldnt be there for so long. The store is dusty, unorganized, but, really the behavior of the people working there makes me just want to go to the one in Attleboro instead. read more

I'm not sure if it's the shopping plaza but I just experienced the same experience that I had with the paper store. Not one sales associate greeted me or asked if I needed help even though I was walking around with two tank tops the entire time. At first I was going to buy the tank tops because they were a really good deal but while I was looking at accessories near the cash wrap area, that sales associate never acknowledge my presence. I put the tank tops back and probably won't shop here anytime soon. read more

Stand-by boyfriend Come on girls. Don't act dumb. I know all about that one dude in the corner of your circle of friends that you just can't seem to shrug away and he's always there, lurking. And yet, as the reality of his dependability grows on you, you just can't seem to truly commit yourself, thinking that there is something better around the corner. Better styling. Better utilization of cloth. So you go out and end up spending more at the GAP or Banana Republic. Shoot, sometimes cheating at J. Crew. Old Navy eschews this old tradition by sticking behind Gap. The true wingman. Inexpensive clothing, that at times, is reflected in the way a skirt is missing lining, for example. Or a t-shirt marked down to $5.99 that seems slightly cheaper in fabric. Jeans that are affordable, but at the same time rather basic and not as long lasting. We do Old Navy clothing because it's there. It's dependable. Still cute. And most importantly, affordable. Yeah yeah, the same old story. Since I'm currently in Boston missing a few necessities, I ran over to this location within 15 minutes of closing and was delighted upon entrance. No, wait, ecstatic because I learned that their entire summer section was marked off at 40%! I grabbed three things and proceeded straight to the dressing rooms while the staff were busily preparing for shutting down. 1. A cute pure white shift dress with embroidery around the neckline and back that showcased my newly acquired tanned legs, regularly priced at $29.50 but at 40% off, came to $17.70. 2. A pair of black jersey drawstring pants marked at $14.99 that I needed in order to work out at the hotel. 3. A cute jersey navy t-shirt that has the logo "27" Fort Lauderdale vaguely stamped and on sale at $8.79. Something casual for my flight back home to go with my jeans. I walked out of Old Navy with three items for around $40, with tax. So you see, sometimes, that quiet unassuming one in the back can surprise you from time to time. read more

I love Old Navy... its as if they make there clothes just for me! Everything fits just right, and they are always having sales. (which is a plus for a mama on a budget). I love all their baby-clothes too. Sometimes I can even find something for the fiance (he's kinda picky). I can do some serious damage here!!!! teehee. I love this location better than North Attleboro because... 1) They aren't as crazy-busy all the time like NA 2) They always have the sizes I need for me and my daughter 3) The associates make themselves available, and are always friendly 4) They are neat and orderly (90% of the time... hense the lack on a star) Love it!!!! read more

The Bellingham Old Navy location is ok. I'm really not a fan of this location, since my Old Navy is renovated with a much more appealing layout and design, yet I'm trying to accommodate this Old Navy, since I needed to do some shopping, they had 50% off the entire store today (WOW!!!!), and I was shopping in Bellingham. I made do with this store, and had pleasant experiences at checkout and with the employees (as well as that the store wasn't PACKED, and for that matter was sort-of dead). Anyway, I found everything I needed within some time, and LOVED getting 50% off and then went on my merry way to Michael's next door. Overall, I would only return if it was convenient, or something specific at this store. Until the store is renovated, the Dedham location will be receiving most of my business (and I occasionally shop other Old Navy's). A fine stop for clothing needs if you're in Milford, Franklin or Bellingham, just don't have too high expectations. 3 stars. read more

Old Navy has never been special, but it's now worse than ever - how do stores make changes for the worse?? I recently saw register lines formed in 2 separate places, because there are no clear signs - and one lane open with 25 people waiting? It is dirty and dusty and just gross. A few nice employees, but they are usually busy with no time to help people. Management, and the setup here, needs a huge overhaul. read more

I swear...every time I go in this place (maybe twice a year) the clothes get cheaper. I bought a skirt, brought it home and it is supposed to be black, but is more like crepe paper. I might as well be wearing nothing. I occasionally buy childrens clothes...decent prices for sure, but quality has gone downhill over the years. Too bad. This is my favorite old navy location out of the ones left. I've been to the Brockton one several times and it never has what I'm looking for nor is it as organized as this Bellingham location. I was in last week and wanted a dress that wasn't in store in my size, staff in the dressing room was quick to find it online and I was able to purchase it right there with free shipping to my house! I wish they had more baby clothes than they do. Sometimes the baby clothes aren't really in any particular order and it's confusing. I do enjoy their every day sales and their clothing for my son! I'm obsessed with their clothes. The store is kept pretty clean and the fitting rooms are spacious. They have a very big parking lot so you shouldn't be too stressed finding a spot, although you may have to walk a little bit more than you wanted from the parking lot. The staff seems nice and professional. read more

Extremely unpleasant visit to the Bellingham location. Workers who's name tags claimed they had been there for over a year were rude and knew almost nothing about the product in their store. Walked by about 5 workers and not a single one greeted me nicely. Extremely poor customer service and lacking immensely in efficiency. read more

you have to shop here KNOWING that the quality is just meh. i'm not about to outfit my entire wardrobe here, but they are good for the basics: t-shirts, ribbed tanks, pajama pants and fleece. i find that everything else never seems to fit quite right. the skirts sit to high or too low or the dresses are cut too wide in the hips so they just sag on you or the rise in their pants never fits right in the front and the back. is it good in a pinch? its OK, but since the Gap is 2 doors down, i'll be spending most of my money there. read more

The problem I have with this store is the staff. They act as if you are inconveniencing them if you ask a question. At the checkout register, the cashiers were all talking loudly back and forth with one another while I was trying to pay. Is it asking too much for the cashier to pay attention to me or the dollars she is handling while I pay for my purchases? Whoever is managing this store, needs to oversee the staff a bit more closely and to try to instill some manners in all of them. read more
