Assistant Manager Jacqueline Ramsey saved my life. My Jos A Bank in Los Angeles gave me a black suit that was one size too small and it was shipping to this Jos A Bank. It was three days before the wedding and we did some last checks on it and discovered this nightmare. But Jacqueline and their incredible Tailer jumped to it, found me new clothes and adjusted them to fit me exactly the way it should have been. She went above and beyond to do this for me and she and her team just had that can-do spirit to them. She is amazing and deserves all the appreciation. read more

The manager of this store butted into a conversation I was having with someone else 15 feet away. Our conversation was pertaining to what we were going to eat for dinner that night, and the manager Greg asked if I ate meat (he brought it up, not me) and when I said no he proceeded to make unwanted condescending comments about how he is a hunter who couldn't live without meat. This wasn't done with humor and I was stunned. This isn't a complaint about the morality of my diet, this is an employee straight up mistreating a customer for no apparent reason. I went in to by my husband new clothes for his birthday. The sales person that met me was the most rude and condensing person I have ever met. I felt that he was pushing me out the door instead of wanting to help. Not only will I never shop at this location, I will never shop a Jos A Bank ever again. Good, solid quality clothing, very good service, crazy aggressive promotions, but watch out -- the prices do not include tailoring, so you end up paying a not so discount price (even during their big sales). I had no problem with the place, but I do feel the strategy is a bit sneaky (not quite dishonest). If you use them, just go in realizing what it is you're paying for, and NOT paying for. read more

Bought two suits with the store manager. He was great, I honestly didn't plan on spending as much as I did, about 780 for two suits and shirts, but after the fact I had my suits in 1.5 weeks including alterations. They both fit great and I love the way they look and how comfortable they are. I drop pies some liquids on the pants and the wick the moisture rights off. FYI - This review is actually for Jos A Bank at the Derby Shoppes in Hingham, MA (I wasn't paying attention when I first posted) but since much of it if not all would apply to any of their stores, I'll leave it here. I'm in the process of changing jobs and decided to up my game whereby I would commit to wearing suits much more often. I used to go to Men's Wearhouse but after comparing the deals I stopped into Jos A Bank. I found two basic but quite decent 100% wool suits on clearance for $198 each. There was also a 50% discount for all clearance items so I got both suits for $198. Tailoring was relatively simple for me; jacket sleeves for both, one pair of pants hemmed, the other pants hemmed and waist/seat/crotch adjustments which cost $58 for both suits. The total cost for both suits was $258. That's just $128 each!. You just cannot beat that price. And since my other original two other suits were 13 to about 20 years old, I decided to go nuts and get enough suits for a two week rotation. I ended up buying a total of nine suits; three summer wear (cotton/wool and cotton/polyester) and the remaining six spring/fall wear (100% wool). I'm assuming spring/fall wear since the pants are only half lined to the knee and that full lined would be better for winter. Nevertheless with the various promotions, including clearances, 'deals of the day', and other % discounts, all suits cost me an average of $113 before tailoring and $173 with tailoring. I am currently waiting to pick up the first four altered suits. Two that I ordered online were delivered to the store within three days. Two more that I ordered while in the store are estimated to be delivered in 13 days but I'm betting it will be less than one week. Alterations however seem slow; the first batch are promised in sixteen days. I would have thought 7-10 days. Simply stated, go to the stores to get measured so you can jump on the deals when they're there. Just plan ahead for the alterations. read more

Want to give a shout out to Gregory at Jos. A Bank in Bellingham. Left Franklin Mens Wear house disappointed when trying to rent tuxes for my boys for prom and was not treated with courtesy. Went to Jos A Bank and was treated professionally and Gregory was very helpful. Not to mention stayed open late to finish up the rentals. Thanks Gregory boys got the colors they wanted! read more

Highly recommend! The staff is professional and knowledgeable while also being very personable. We were renting tuxes for our wedding but didn't know a lot about formal wear and they made us feel comfortable and provided us with all the information we needed to make the best choice for us. Reasonably priced and huge benefits for the groom (he received a $600 voucher for the store because his groomsmen got their tuxes from them as well. This might be limited-time but we were lucky enough to get it). There were tons of options and Jackie, who helped us, was so patient and willing to show us multiple choices. She didn't just rely on the measurements, she made sure the groom tried on different jackets until he found the best look for him. She also guessed his measurements just by looking at him. Impressive! The assistant manager, I cannot remember his name but I definitely remember his bacon socks :), was assisting the best man and was equally as helpful and personable. Could not have asked for a better experience. We will definitely go back for future purchases and rentals. read more

Just recently bought suits during a recent sale and very disappointed in the service at this store. During the well publicized sale they had no one available to mark up the suits for tailoring on a Saturday afternoon. This is supposed to be a mens store that specializes in suits and dress clothes. Even their dress slacks all require finishing. How do you have a store like this without properly trained staff or a tailor available. Clothes are nice but the service is terrible. We were given the hours of the Part Time tailor who was available one night during the week otherwise it requires visiting during your normal work hours. Be prepared to seek tailoring elsewhere especially if you need the suit or pants in a timely fashion.There is more to good service than a smiling face. read more

I was looking for a few dress shirts for my husbands birthday and was happy to see that there was a Jos A Bank next to the Whole Foods where I usually shop. The quality of their clothes is great, selection as well was great. The head salesman greeted me from the moment I entered the store and led me right to what I was looking for, even suggesting colors, styles and getting a bit more background on what occasion, his type of work, etc. that it would be worn for. I quickly found 3 shirts, but decided on the best two and found that they were having a wonderful sale as well which is also welcome in this economy, keeping an upscale retailer such as this competitive. I was offered a nice box and ribbon...so nice that I returned the wrapping paper that I previously purchased because it looked so nice as is. I recommend this store for it's customer service, quality, selection, and location which is right off the 495. Convenient! read more

David B. provided some of the best customer service I have ever experienced-it was wonderful to work with someone as knowledgeable and personable as he is. I have shopped at this Joseph A Banks store on a number of occasions and have been impressed with the consistent high level of service each time. In particular, the assistant manager, David B., has always been extremely helpful. He is very knowledgeable about clothing, pleasant to speak with - and very helpful with his suggestions. If you are in the area and you stop in Jos A Bank, ask for David B. He immediately helped me when I walked through the door as I was looking for a blazer/ suit. He found my size in a blazer just by looking at me without taking any measurements. Extremely knowledgeable with men's fashion and he has a tremendous eye for matching different styles/ colors and what looks correct on you. He is honest and will tell you something doesn't look or fit right on you which is exactly what I wanted, nothing sugar coated and he does it a professional manner. If you are looking for a suit this is the place to go for so many reasons. My boyfriend and I had been to several places looking for a new suit for a couple of weddings we have coming up. We looked around at several places and it was tough to find something that fit right or get any help...especially when you don't often buy a suit and know the size you need. We decided on Jos A Banks and figured we would check it out. David B was AMAZING!!! From the moment we walked in the door he was attentive, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He sized my boyfriend up by just looking at him and let me tell you, what he picked out fit like a glove. From the jacket to the pants and the shirt, he was spot on with his size. He picked out several options and spent so much time with us getting everything just right. Best experience ever. Honestly, we both looked at each other thinking about all the time we wasted at the other places and wished we started here first. We even called his dad to come in as he needed a suit as well.
