They also give you a hard time when you want to return an item saying you cannot return when it's clear that the policy allows return an item that is unworn with tags attached, and within 30 days. They do not honor returns this store is terrible. The ladies that ring you up do not even look at you, they are also rude. The Nordstrom rack in San Leandro has better customer service. If I can give one star it would have been nice

The owner (I think) told me that 25% of her clients are Caucasian women - especially around the holiday time. This makes sense as these beautifully decorated gowns are very dressy. You would totally stand out in your memorable outfit, no matter who you are! Sparklies and intrique beading and bright, wonderful colors. The dresses run between $200-$700 on average. Not surprising as they are handmade and very detail-oriented. I saw an orange sari (for $500? I think) that was outrageously gorgeous. It's out of my budget, but would be an amazing addition to a lucky someone's wardrobe this Fall.

I've been to this Plato's Closet location a few times, and unfortunately, the customer service has…read moreconsistently felt unwelcoming--especially if you're not white. I've noticed staff greet some customers while completely ignoring others. It doesn't feel inclusive or friendly, which is disappointing for a place that relies on regular shoppers. The pricing also doesn't always make sense. I saw a shirt still with the Ross tag for $6.99, yet Plato's was asking $10. How is that a better deal than buying it brand new? One of the staff, a girl with glasses and long hair, seemed visibly annoyed when I asked to see some perfumes. I understand retail work can be tiring, but basic courtesy goes a long way.
