After thinking this cute little store was closed I found them in Blackhawk Plaza by accident really. It's quite larger now and the boy section grew with it. I was just perusing and was going to buy what ever caught my fancy. The owner was there and she was very helpful. I'll admit I'm picky when it comes to my sons clothes. We don't do collars or anything sports themed. I had to say "No" to quite a few things. There were some very cute car themed long sleeved shirts I bought. We live anything skull themed any time if year and they had a selection to choose from. Oh and adorable shirts with doggies on them. A few times I was a bit straight forward when I said that some of the nautical themed things looked like prison wear. You know, dark blue with horizontal stripes. The shoe selection they have is nothing I'd buy. For some reason the style for uppity toddlers seems to be clunky leather peasant like shoes. I could never force my son into them. They are hideous! Sorry, I'm opinionated and picky. I had to restrain myself from buying a beautiful gold sequined purse. Yes, they have purses too. For myself, I did buy some really cute mini hair bows. My inner little girl comes out occasionally. Overall I do enjoy the store and the clothes are always the highest of quality. read more

My daughter was excited to shop for her BFF's presents at Sweetie Face but we left promptly due to the rude lady who couldn't even get off her bottom to greet and put on a sweetie face ... we luckily found a better experience and higher quality gifts at Anthropologie and Francesca's. For a children's shop, not being greeted and being rudely told that my Starbucks drink needed to be placed on the counter, we turned on our heels, left and shopped at Anthropologie and Francesca's. Blessing moment actually as we found cuter gifts at Anthro and Francesca's with better quality and greater options. With the sad departure of the bookstore and neighboring children's store, we only wish helpful and kind owners like those would have lasted longer than those at Sour Sweetie Face. read more

My daughter and I was browsing this beautifully over priced store for about 6 minutes looking at the castle bed on clearance from $1300 marked down to $800. My daughter played in the play room while I looked at the sale rack and the new spring fashions, I also took a few pictures for this review. While we were in there the 2 employees never greeted us nor ask if we needed any assistance. We were totally ignored. I thought with me taking a few photos with the flash going off or me telling my daughter not to touch the jewelery would have got their attention. read more

It's still there, maybe it moved down a store or 2? But it's in Blackhawk Plaza (per what previous yelpster stated that it moved). Anyway, store is cute, especially for girls, not much for boys worth anything, especially baby boys. The one thing that bothered me is that whomever was working today followed us around the store. Not sure if that's just her style or if she was worried we were going to steal something. Made me super uncomfortable. Probably would've bought something if I didn't feel like we were "watched" the entire time we were there. I felt rushed to leave like we were bothering her. Definitely cute princessy stuff but super expensive, but that's what you get in a boutique type store & when it's not one of a million other items of the same. It's all unique stuff! read more

This is a cute store with clothing for kids. I'm really giving them 4 stars purely because I root for the little guys. It's truly an adorable store and I suppose seeing how Blackhawk's got FAT money, this store can survive. We picked out a couple of T-shirts and a storybook for my 3 year old and the bill came to close to $90. 2 t-shirts and a book? I'm fairly certain this would have cost me closer to $60 on Amazon or elsewhere. Granted, these are probably "custom label" t-shirts, but I doubt my 3 year old has much of a fashion sense yet... 4 stars because they're an independently owned business, and I dig that. If I had to vote perceived value, I think I'd be closer to 2 stars though. read more

Arrived at 10am, the time they were supposed to open. I waited around for 2 hours for them to open. At 12:08pm I finally left. I needed something very specific and knew they had it. What kind of business opens whenever they feel like it? I was very disappointed. I looked on their website and the hours weren't posted either. Perhaps they do that so they can open whenever they want. I wanted to support local businesses but this makes it very hard. Will never go to this place again! I walked into this place with my two kids looking for a headband. I walked in and was totally ignored!! The owner and her assistant were too busy helping one other lady and couldn't even stop to say hi. What really did it for me is that they have a TV area for kids. My daughter asked me in spanish if she could go watch TV and I said yes, my daughter was not even in there for 5 minutes and the owner stopped what she was doing and turned the TV off on my daughter!!!!! REALLY? who does that? Really felt discriminated. Owner was SUPER nice to the people she was helping ahead of me and when I asked for help she was nothing but cold and starring me down. My friend and I were strolling around in Blackhawk Plaza and we decided to go into Sweetie Face to look for some stuff for our daughter. To our horror, we encountered something quite the opposite of a "Sweetie Face"...we ran into quite a grumpy faced employee. We were looking at a panda hat and gently put it back when we were done. Within seconds, this grumpy, mean lady came running out and snapped at us..."that not how you put it back". We were horrified and will never be coming back. read more

As a mother of a small princess this place is a must. It also has the best one of a kind gifts you could imagine. Store is organized well and clean. Also has a little kid play area to keep the little ones occupied while you spend your paycheck. Keep in mind everything has crystals, blings, sparkle and more but I like that! Great place for unique children's clothing. The ladies who work there are always super nice and helpful. In response to Shaw Y's comment about lady not getting off her but, I was there that day. She did greet you and did ask if she could help you. It was when she asked your daughter to put her drink on the counter while you shopped you got upset and stated you were leaving. I had a horribly rude experience here today when I was trying to shop here with my son. We were checking out this awesome fire truck when this woman came over and without saying a hello or asking if there was anything she could help with, she immediately asked in a patronizing tone "are you planning on buying that?" I stated that yes, we were checking it out. She proceeded to tell me that they don't allow the children to play with the toys or touch them. What?! This is a store that sells children's clothes and toys, but a child can't touch anything? How do I know if he likes it? It wasn't packaged. It was out for display. I wanted to see how my son reacted to it before spending $130 dollars... her negative energy, look of annoyance, and general poor disposition towards my son and me immediately caused me to want to leave. I even told her that was very rude. She said "indeed." We left. Then we went across the plaza to the other toy store that was having a huge clearance sale and spent our money there after playing with and checking out everything we wanted to buy. I recently bought 2 outfits here for my daughter. Although, I almost left without them. I don't mind paying top dollar for high quality merchandise - IF there is service to go with it. The sales person was lacking for sure. Then, "Teresa", tells me that she's not a sales person, she's the OWNER. I would think that the owner of a small retail establishment would be better with customer service. I'd rather shop at Nordstrom. At least I can get service with a smile there. read more

The store is so cute. I shop here for my son and as most mothers know finding cute boy clothes is hard. Every outfit that I have bought here for my baby people always compliment! The owner is so great, she will go around the store and find you exactly what you are looking for. Is it possible to give zero stars? If so, this is what this place deserves. Not only is everything in the store completely over priced, it is the attitude of the owner that upsets me the most. I have been in this store only 3 or 4 times over the years (including when they were located in San Ramon). Each and every time I have had the unfortunate luck of dealing with the same person who happens to be the owner or one of the owners. Each and every time I have been in there I have been made to feel like I was bothering her. When you are the owner of the store, customer service should be a priority. Several years ago when my daughter was about 3 years old, she actually criticized me for what my daughter was wearing! My daughter has always liked shorts and tshirts over dresses and I do not have a problem with that. This woman had the nerve to criticize me because my daughter was not dressed more girly. I went in there today, for the last time, asked her a few questions. She was behind the counter and barely turned her head to look at me when talking. The only reason I'm giving this store 2 stars is because of a horible employee named Sarah. A few days ago I came in and I absolutely love this store and I shop here every few months for my girls. My two favorite employees are Caroline and Jennifer the young girl. They have been working there for a while and I love shopping when they're in the store. So helpful and very knowledgeable about everything in the store. My recent visit was not so pleasant. The moment I walked in the door I was immediately bombarded by this Sarah woman trying to sell me everything but the kitchen sink! I told her what I was looking for and she was not bringing me anything even remotely close to what I had asked for. She was offering me all kinds of deals just to get me to buy something but finally I said I don't need any help from her I can find things on my own. She got offended and walked away. I will NEVER shop in this store when this woman is working. She doesn't listen and tries to force things on you. I have had such a pleasant time shopping here until she came along. She might want to take some sales lessons from the other two employees because this is not the way to sell anything to their regular customers.
