Carter's Babies & Kids has lots more people in the store than OshKosh B'gosh. They're face-to-face in the San Francisco Premium Outlets. The same company owns both Carter's and OshKosh B'gosh. But merchandise at Carter's is less expensive. Both stores have a huge amount of babies' and kids' clothes. It is easy to find what you're looking for. The cashiers are much busier in Carter's. My husband and I went there to get our baby boy some clothes. We usually get stuffs from Carter's online, Tracy branch or from my friend who works at Carter's. So we were confident that we will get the military discount (which they usually give, and also I was once a retail asst manager) but when my husband was about to pay he said here's my id for the veteran discount, and the lady at the counter was confused, she said they dont give it then she said maybe in selected days then we figured out she doesnt know what the word "veteran" is. So I said military discount. Thats made her more confusing and she said again maybe they give that on specific days, so she went to another colleague and asked (she asked like a teenager coworker) who also confused what "veteran" or "military" discounts means until they just told us they give it only during "Veterans Day". So the only word they knew is Veteran's Day thats why initially she said they give the discount on specific day. So I called my friend from another branch and she sent me a photo confirming that military/veteran discount is 10% of entire purchase. My husband was so upset that we just went straight home instead of shopping for more. He felt disrespected (of course you served your country but refused to give you the benefit that you deserve) or at least be knowledgeable about it. I hope they have a supervisor/manager knowledgeable and matured enough to deal with this kind of simple but important questions. Those who serve for this country deserve respect. read more

I love a good deal but did not have a great experience at this store. The cashiers wear too much perfume and ask visibly pregnant customers to move out of their way as they walk around the store instead of just finding another route. They're perfectly polite about it but I was consistently asked to step aside so they could get by me and couldn't stand the perfume (pregnant women have a heightened sense of smell). Then, when checking out, a cashier asked me to join the rewards program and I said I didn't want to get spammed with promo emails. She said she could sign me up and immediately "opt out" of the emails. I had to repeat my information to her three times for some reason (not paying attention?) then received a marketing email from them two days later. I take my email privacy very seriously and was annoyed that she lied to me about this. Don't sign up for the rewards program if you're trying to avoid junk email like me! read more

I've been to many Carter's/Osh Kosh: Santa Clara, San Jose, Fremont, etc. and I'm always greeted and assisted with the usual good service. But today, after asking the Associate, Michelle, if she could help me order an item online, she asked if I couldn't find the size in store. I notified her I couldn't, yet she gave me a snotty attitude. Then upon checking their system, she quietly realized they don't have that size in stock and proceeded with ordering it. I wish she carries herself with a nicer demeanor as she is interacting with customers face to face. Hope Carter's/Osh Kosh retrains her in customer service. read more

DD and I were on a kid shopping trip...of course we both go a new spring item, but the DGD's cleaned up too. Carter's is great....no third rate stuff here. Sturdy play clothes for kids...great for school. Great for underthings, jammies, and socks too! My only complaint is that the styles are a bit over decorated for my tastes (I like GAP better) She got leggings for $1.50...and a big bag of spring tops and dresses for the girls. There are some GREAT deals at this outlet store, especially if you stack emailed coupons on top of their discounts - think two piece PJ sets for about $5, shirts/muscle tees for $4-ish. I am just not rating them super high because the selection of toddler boy's clothes is somewhat limited. The lady who worked there also suggested that our kids play at the play table...but the wooden puzzles there each had about ONE puzzle piece that was still there to use. I go kid clothing shopping about as often as I change my own oil in the car, but here we are. Had an exchange to do, they were pleasant about taking it over the counter and encouraged a look-see to make it a flat exchange. The Mrs. found a few things, and went to the counter; waiting on the only clerk as she was trying to help a mom spent enough to use her coupon that required $50 pre-tax dollars spent. And waited. No, that toy didn't do it, only made it $48.77. Then the most magical comment I've heard in a children's store. Mom: I was hoping for something with a clip to hang it over the car seat. Clerk: Oh. Some people leave that plastic one on it and use that. Wha... what?!? Oh, the plastic tab that holds it onto the peg in the store. So, you mean to tell me people regularly use these flimsy things that break with a good tug and hand them to their infant children to play with and choke on? Unlikely. Better to tell the woman there's other options than to make crap up. Especially when said made-up crap has a potential risk to a child -- which is the bread-and-butter of your customer base. Fortunately, a second clerk finally emerged and rang us out before any other vapid statements would emerge from the other clerk's mouth. I'm still not going to be changing the oil anytime soon, hence I'll likely not be back anytime in the foreseeable future. read more

Not sure why all the negative reviews. I've been to this location over two dozen times and I have never had a bad experience. While it does get crowded at times and the lines can be long, that can be said about any store at the outlets during peak hours (Friday/Saturday/Sunday/major holidays). They were very helpful the other day when I had to make a return without a receipt. The employee was able to do the return by looking at my email confirmation. For best service, try going during evening hours or when they first open in the morning. read more

It's still February and cold, so I'm not really looking to stock up for Spring yet. I was asked to purchase clothes for a new preemie baby and her brother who live out of the country! I purchased from Livermore outlet's. It's been years since I've shopped for children so I was out if my comfort zone! Staff there was not only helpful but gave me suggestions I bought many quality items! I delivered my friend his purchases & took off on a trip myself! I returned a month later to find out my friend who was going to see his daughter had a stroke! The clothes were now over a month old and would not fit newborn! I called the store talked to Erin mgr. She was so sweet & polite. She graciously said she would be there the next day to come in & exchange or return. I did come in she remembered my name and story! When my friend can return to his daughter I would only go back to Carters because of the way they treated me. There were 3 other stores that did not respond the way Erin did! As a new mom I've come to learn that the Carter's brand is equivalent to the mecca of children's clothing. If you've shopped for baby clothes you're likely to come across Carter's clothing whether it be at Babies R Us, Walmart or even Costco. But this location is their own. Entering the store, you're greeted with door busters for both boys and girls, all in seasonal fashion. You're bound to pick up one cute item of clothing from that selection alone. On the left side is girls, right side for boys. You'll find sections of sleepers, play wear, coordinates, holiday outfits, dressier clothes, shoes and hats. Towards the back is the real dangerous area -- the Clearance section, where prices are even further reduced and the temptation to buy a t-shirt onesie is even greater simply because it costs $3. I like the styles of clothing they offer, bright & fun everyday wear. Fan of the clothing, not so much a fan of the LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG lines. It is what it is. I decided to go into Carter's today to shop for some clothes for my daughter for back to school, and I had a great experience! I was nicely greeted coming into the store and directed to exactly what I needed! I found some great items for a vacation coming up but there were a couple things that were out of stock and Michelle who was helping us, told us we could get everything for free shipping so we easily got it ordered at the register, she prepared it and it was quick and easy! I'm not a big carters shopper but I do find my self buying this brand every now and again. This store is on a smaller side but very nicely set up and enough room to move around with a stroller. Love the staff the few times I've been here they're so nice and helpful. Always asking "can we help you find something" and God knows when you're with a Toddler that wants to go most of the time that does come very handy and helpful. Saves me time on looking for items my self :) I'll be back again I'm sure :) read more

Oh Carter's. What can I say. This is a very difficult review for me to make due to the fact that I love their products! The store is large and definitely saves me the drive to Milpitas to their other store. However, the negative review isn't from their lines which are incredibly long, but from the fact that my identity was stolen at this specific Carter's. Yes, I purchased something from them weeks ago, but based on my online banking, I'm still purchasing things from their store without my knowledge. I called to resolve this and was basically pushed to the side and told to contact Carter's directly. No resolution for me. I may try this store again one day, but until all their internal issues are resolved, I may have to drive all the way back to Milpitas after all. At least they don't have the giant lines. read more

Excellent deals especially during holiday shopping seasons - you can expect 70% off the lowest ticketed prices! Great collection for newborns to babies to kids in a well-organized fashion. Good designs - as an adult, I like them very much and wish to be a baby again : ) The checkout line can be long though since the Carter's only has one or two counters available and usually there are quite some customers buying quite a lot in the line. read more

I have a son that will be 2 Christmas Day. I come to this store all of the time and I usually have a great experience but I recently came in with a coworker to update my sons wardrobe for the fall and I felt like I was being rushed. I will admit, I keep stepping away to grab more items but their weren't other customers in line or in the store at that time. When I would put my things on the counter, she would ask if I was ready. I went to go grab socks and she asked if I was ready again while I was shopping for socks, I grabbed some shoes and she yelled across the store asking me if I was almost ready. All in all, I spent $200 I would think the staff would be happy about that vs trying to rush me to purchase. The fact that my coworker noticed it as well made me more inclined to even think about the situation more. I want to thank a employee who had a wrap on for being extremely helpful with assisting me find the correct sizes for my baby but the employee with long blonde hair made me feel rushed and unappreciated as a paying customer. I'm sure she is a great employee but that's something to think about. read more

I was shopping in this store today and found an outfit that I liked but they didn't have the size that I needed. This store was super busy but Ayana took the time to call another store for me. This young lady found what I needed and put the outfit on hold so that I could pick it up on my way home. After waiting 15 minutes in line with a squirming 13 month old, I finally got to the register. I had a coupon and Carter's cash. I was told I needed to do two transactions. Ok whatever. We are now at 20 minutes. First transaction, $70. Second transaction, the item she saved is $6.99, so I have money left on my Carter's cash. After ringing up $70 in merchandise ... She says, you need to pick something else out. I ended up forfeiting some of the Carter's cash because I did not want to spend any more time in there. It was such BS. Bottom line - you're a kid's store - make it easier to shop. I won't be back. read more

Great prices, not the largest store but still good selection! With rewards earned, coupons etc it's really very affordable! The quality of their staff needs another review- some pj's after several washes become less soft and covered with fuzzies. I come here sometimes because it's nearby my work. The store's been clean, organized, well-lit, decent parking, safe. The clothes/accessories are something both me and my kids can agree upon. Still sweet, cute and fun, not too flashy, tacky. My girls like the look and feel of and I like the quality of the underwear here, much nicer than what I can find at other stores like target, which has cheaply made undies with elastic that shows and frays. Prices are comparable when there's a sale and they usually have promos to get you to come back. Lots of sizes in stock and nice selection of items. Other reviewers mentioned long, slow lines. It hasn't been too bad the times I've gone. I do wish however that the cashiers would go that extra special customer service step by reminding me to bring up my additional discount email on my phone during checkout. They ask me for my info after greeting to get my rewards entered, why not ask that 1 extra question about the coupon? Or better yet, be like the GAP and have the coupon automatically added when applicable!! read more

Usually the store and brand are awesome, but had a missing snap on a one piece fleece outfit, I came to see what could be done.... This isn't the reason for the bad review. It's the lack of help in the store in general. When I entered the store, everyone was in line, and there was only one cashier! I briefly saw another employee up at the counter and thought she would open the other register but nope, she decided to leave because she wasn't officially on duty for another 40 min. There was a third employee slowly walking around the store putting clothes away, but I think her time could have been better spent on a register, as it took a whole HOUR to get up to the counter! read more
