This is a smaller Old Navy location, and they don't seem to get the full gamut of collections and garments but still very well stocked and reasonably priced. Especially with the constant sales and promotions they always seem to have. There is always a decent amount of employees walking around who are nice and reasonably knowledgeable, but the layout is so straightforward that it's easy enough to figure out the different departments and where one may find something on their own. The cashier process can be a little slow, but I find that a lot of times it's due to weird costumer interactions having nothing to do with the staff itself. read more

Just so you are aware Old Navy does not stand behind the workmanship of their garments. Bought a tank top on 17th and wore once for about 15 minutes and both straps ripped off. Went to exchange it on the 22nd and was told sorry cannot help you as you cut tags out and wore it. Disappointed and will think twice about buying here. I am glad Target is coming to Santa Barbara, Target stands behind their garments. Update: I contacted corporate customer service by e-mail and they quickly answered stating that my garment should be exchanged. I took e-mail back to Santa Barbara store and the manager did indeed exchange it. Thank you Old Navy and I will give the store a couple stars back for the quick response to my e-mail. read more

Talk about some deals. I used to shop at this store often. It's large, bright and usually clean - although it can look like a storm ran through if at the end of the day. In a city filled with expensive boutiques, budget-minded folks like myself enjoy the fact that we don't have to drive down south for a good clothing deal. I will admit that the clothing quality is on the cheap side so you pay for what you get. That said, I've worn certain items from here several times before there were any signs of deterioration. I'm gentle with my clothes so they typically tend to last a long time. One thing I take advantage of is their random sales. There always seem to be discounts and the coupons flow freely here. A good deal in general. I'm in need of some summer garments so may have to stop in here again soon. read more

My roommate and I came here to shop for new shirts and while we were shopping in the clearance section, one of the employees suggested we come in tomorrow to shop in the clearance section since everything in clearance will be 50% OFF. WHAT A DEAL! so we decided to buy what we wanted (sale or not) and we came back the next day to have a price adjustment on the clearance items. If it wasn't for that employee who overheard us shopping for clothes and cracking silly jokes, we wouldn't have gotten such a deal. read more

The customer service at this establishment is appalling. I was walking thru the aisles looking for a pair of shorts for my son. I was having trouble locating what I was searching for so I asked an employee for help. They completely disregarded my question and pretended I wasn't there. I was confused by this interaction so I went looking for the manager. This was my mistake. The manager, I believe is name was Dave or Dylan (something similar to this), was the most arrogant human I have interacted with. He was rude, untimely, and genuinely did not care about his job or providing even satisfactory customer service. He told me, "You would be better off shopping at Goodwill with how poor you look". I can't believe they let animals like this work in management. I hope this man is fired, I bet he couldn't even get a job at McDonalds. read more

This is my favorite Old Navy store to shop in because there are so many pleasant and helpful sales associates. I have to tell you that my favorite person is Jesus. I am a big shopper and I must say he's the nicest and must professional associate you're going to find. And the sales and inventory has gotten better and better. Went into the store and found a bunch of great items for a great price or so I thought. Numerous items were priced incorrect. At check out I found out the my total was $50 more than what I had calculated and when asking for the prices of each item 4 of the items were advertised wrong. I told the cashier and she claimed that it was miss placed yet it wasn't like the items were singled out from the rest where I found them. There were a huge stack of the same clothing with advertising a certain price and she still didn't honor it. To make things worst I drive an hour home to find out she didn't put one of the shirts in the bag yet I was charged for it. I emailed the company and now days later I haven't had anyone contact me or even try to resolve this. It's not a bad store just the people running must not know what the hell they're doing. read more

5 star service. There must have been something in air in SB that day because everyone we encountered was really happy and helpful..... Its Old Navy, so yes, there will be a crying or screaming child somewhere in the store, but at this location, I have never waited in a long line, which for ON is really really really rare. There were several guys who helped up and everyone was really informative about their deals and sales. Two guys in particular worked really hard with us getting us different sizes and checking other locations for a shirt I really wanted in my size. It was like being at a Nordstrom. We ended up spending $25 bucks on 3 shirts, which is great! I really love their basics and their prices....and finally, I can say their service!!! read more

My shopping experience went well. My check out did not. For whatever reason my Old Navy card did not go through when swiped and the clerk did not offer to manually input it. I had to pay with my own funds thereby not even getting credit (for rewards) for my purchase. Confused, I check my account... No payment is outstanding & there is more than enough funds available. read more

This Old Navy always seems to be just lacking. Today, for example, I go in looking for leggings and they have them. In heather grey. That was their only color and they had very few. Leggings are a staple at most Old Navys I visit, but it's always a struggle to find them here. Their sale section also trends toward the XXL or the S/XS. Maybe this is because average sized shoppers shop here a lot, but I always have a hard time finding good things in their sale section in my size, which is rare for me at Old Navy. All in all, the prices are still pretty darn good and the service has never been poor for me, but selection, cleanliness, and sale section is lacking to me. If possible, try the one in Oxnard or venture south to Orange County for some really nice Old Navys. read more

Website said they were open until 8pm on Sunday. Doors were locked at 7:30. Times on the window are actually erased and it literally says "Open 24/7" right on the door. Waved at the sales clerk to try to ask what the hours were actually supposed to be the rest of the week since online is wrong and she just smiled, refused to come to the door and mouthed "we're closed, sorry." I like Old Navy for their cheap deals and simple clothes. Great for a student budget, and sometimes good for business casual wear. This Old Navy location is kind of messy and disorganized. I feel a little dirty when I'm shopping here too. I don't have experience in the dressing rooms, but I don't think I'd care to buy anything from here. Maybe the only thing that would draw me there is their $20 jean deals, since their jeans fit me pretty well. It's also away from the typical shopping area of State Street, so you have to drive over there - it's not a walk from downtown. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I'm not the type to EVER yelp a business but in this case, it's too cruel not to. I was at wells fargo downtown and my six year old sister had to use the restroom. This bank does not offer restrooms to clients so we had to go out and find one. She had an accident so I decided to go to old navy to get her clean clothes, shoes, undergarments and clean her up in the restroom. The restrooms are inside the changing rooms. The girl was SO rude. After we purchased our items I went back there and asked if she could please open the door for us because it required a code. She literally rolled her eyes, DIDNT answer me and opened the door. Because my parents taught me manners, I said thank you and she didn't even look at me and started walking away. I said thank you again because I thought maybe she didn't hear me and she looks at me and goes.. "mhm" and walked away. Sooo sad that there are humans so miserable they don't even have the decency to say "you are welcome". We are locals and will not be going back. read more

It's kind of small compared to other Old Navy stores I have visited. The selection is decent and of course it is affordable. It never seem to be too busy so you don't have to wait in line but that is probably because of it's location on State Street. read more

For some reason this store's clothes do not fit me whether around or even exactly on my size but other old navy locations have clothes that do fit. Other than that the staff is super slow at check out and they always seem run down. This one girl looked super tired but she did her best to greet the customers.
