My wife & I went to do a return at Old Navy. Since some items were passed the 30-day return window, we were offered a gift card instead. But we're then told the return was declined & we had to call Return Activity Report. The return was over 30 days because their downtown store closed out, where we had tried the return a week earlier. At this point, my wife spoke with a very unpleasant old man named Ralph. He was clearly reading off a script and mumbling his words. When my wife, who is Colombian, got confused, he made racist comments to her. So we ended up making two different trips, out $200 bucks, and having to deal with a racist old man. read more

While their selection may not be incredible, this store really has a bit of everything! They've got men's, men's active, and men's clearance for example, whereas most stores give men a small corner. They have a huge baby section, plus maternity too. And tons of women's and kids options too. The best thing about this location (and others alike) is that it offers free shipping to your home when you purchase online from the register. It can easily save you $10! I learned this trick the last time I was in and so now I get to ignore the pressure of having to spend $50 to get free shipping. Tons of parking, helpful employees, great store! read more

Stopped in to get some t shirts. The store was packed and the line was unbelievably long. Fortunately they had 5 staff members checking out customers. This is the only old navy in the southcenter area. The store was very tossed around. It may be due to the time of year which is right after New Years. However, it was near impossible to find anything with several items out of place. I like old navy but it would be great to have the store a little more organized. Been here several times.I would say the quality of clothing has improved to include the service line (goes pretty quickly). Not a huge selection of clothes, however, I don't often shop for myself. If I do, I purchase very few. I usually buy gifts here as I leverage airline mileage (5 miles per dollar)....so I'm happy about that. =) read more

Ok, I have to admit that I am a big fan of old Navy clothes. I like the simple styles and fabrics they use, but there have been some issues with this store and the company in general that have deterred me over the years. I actually stopped shopping here altogether for a while because of the long lines and other frustrations. One major one is that they have deceptive marketing techniques. Sometimes the signage is so misleading that you get to the register and it comes up with a whole different price. So I have made it a habit of taking a picture of the sale sign to show to the cashier. Just yesterday this saved me $15 on a kid's shirt. They do honor it, unless you get someone super sassy, in which case ask for the manager...it's saved me tons of money over the years. Another thing I do is check the price of the item online and see if it's lower. If it is, then I show them my phone at the register. Yes, this is allowed, and includes using promo codes and online only sales. Why? Because they have free in store pickup. So you could literally order it online from your phone at the lower price and pick-up in an hour or so anyway, which would make no business sense for them, so they have to honor the lower price. Speaking of which, the in store pickup is a reason why I started coming back to this store. They are very prompt about it (sometimes it takes just minutes to fulfill an order!), and you don't have to wait in line, just head to the front at the last register. I think they have improved a bit to compete in this economy, but you also have to me smart about how you shop. Good luck! read more

Your average Old Navy. Affordable, simple, good variety of items. The clothes are organized most of the time for the most part which is nice, but if you go when they're having a sale like for a holiday... Beware!!! The lines are ridiculously long!!! Great deals on clothes. Quality is so so but your getting what you pay for. Some of the clearance items were from earlier in the year and just looking busted up and dirty. Couldn't find much of a selection because summer stuff is gone and fall/winter items are out. The store is pretty neat and less crowded. There are always employees on the floor folding clothes, putting back clothes that's misplaced. I can see that they try to keep it neat. Something not so good: it can get messy, but hey there's so much items to choose from, everyone is digging through it!!! :) Would have given five stars but the check out was a little slow. Had only one check out open though there was a line of about 5 people waiting with their items. read more

TERRIBLE experience here today. Was followed by TWO employees everywhere even one stood behind the jeans and watched us, and the thing that made it worse was my elderly grandmother, 78 yrs old, who walks with a cane; and elder mother were with me. One kept saying is there anything I can help you with, what'd you come in for. My grandmother felt terrible and went back to the car she cried. My mother assured me to just ignore them, it was very hurtful. I'm talking everywhere we went. Then when I got to the register the girl didn't believe that the jeans were $15!!! After the two that followed around and one radio's her asking if she's alright up there and instead she had my mother walk all the way back! The whole reason I went there was for the Jean sell and my 40% off coupon. She didn't want to put them as 40% off. This location is usually prejudiced, but I never everrrrrr experienced anything like this before. I am devastated and hurt! read more

Most Old Navy's are the same: lots of cheap product, can't move well through the store because they have so many shelves and displays, clothes all over the floor, dirty fitting rooms, no sales people on the floor, and long lines to check out. 10 registers for checking out, only 2 employees working. It was the same way when I stopped by the Factoria store as well, 10 registers, 2 employees working. Lines wrapped around the aisles to pay. Sad. The only thing I ever buy here is flip flops - hooray for $1 flip flop day! This store was so busy it was crazy. No employees on the floor to help my mom find another size in something she was looking for. The fitting room attendant wasn't very friendly. The only other employee we encountered was the lady checking us out, and she was very nice, talkative, and quick! Check online for extra coupons before you come in. Also keep an eye on their "clearance" prices, as I found a few shirts that were marked down by just $1. read more

There are two experiences you can have at this store - you go in, get what you're looking for, and get out fast and quickly OR you go in, get what you're looking for, and sign away the rest of your day. 90% of the time, you'll lose an hour of your life standing in the line. Do you want the first experience? Come in early in the day, with NO coupons or discounts, and buy less than 5 items. Do you have coupons? Cash? Need to buy a bunch of gifts, or are really into cheap fleece so you grabbed some for the whole family? Well, you're like everyone else in line, and you will never escape. You could literally order a pizza, wait for it to deliver, and have dinner in the time it takes to get through this line. The main problem is the coupons, and the fact that they have 2 people handling the line. Last week, the line was packed, and after waiting 20 minutes, one of the girls decided that organizing the ELF makeup shelves (which are IN the line) was more important than helping the people in line. She proceeded to dawdle with those shelves for the next half hour - it's painful to stand in line next to someone who could actually help you get out of it. Old Navy offers a ton of deals, discounts, and coupon codes via their website, emails, fliers. But this store doesn't accept most of them - it's from the website? It doesn't apply in-store (even though it says both in-store and online). It's from an email? I don't know, our system is down so we don't accept it. You got the flier? Sorry, the scanner isn't working and I don't know how to do it manually. And then they look at you blankly like you're the problem, and try to wait you out to see if you'll leave without them actually having to do work and accept their own coupon. But the #1 issue is RetailMeNot, and sites like those. They have Old Navy coupons that work at every other store on the planet, but not this Tukwila one. They refuse them, talk their way out of using them, the scan doesn't work, they'll say they have to see it in your email for them to accept it, or just flat out say (after 15 minutes) that they don't take coupons from RetailMeNot because "anyone can put a coupon on there." I hate this store and it's crappy customer service and wait times with a passion. But if you have to shop at Old Navy, sign up for their coupons via email (and hope and pray that they'll accept them) OR just buy from the Old Navy website. If something you get online ends up being the wrong size, exchanges in store are probably the fastest thing they do. read more

They are supposed to have a maternity section, I looked and looked and couldn't find it. FINALLY found an employee and it's in the far left corner AND their selection is a complete joke. Ok, yes I am reviewing Old Navy. It's not my store of choice, but you can't be how cheaply they sell stuff. And, some of it is actually comfortable and durable. This store is one of the larger ones with a HUGE men's section (hooray!). I was lucky to find out that they had a storewide 30% off everything special and I loaded up! I'm a big fan of Old Navy! I was born in 93 but they were established in 94 so I spent most of my life in ON clothes! I agree with some reviews that not every item is amazing quality and I think sizes tend to run smaller unless it's a looser shirt. The basic Camus and vintage t shirts are very comfortable and the heavy pj pants are s better value than the lighter than paper pants! I highly recommend the yoga pants! They have many styles and they fit very nicely! And if you are short like me (I'm 5'4) the maxi dresses tend to be very long so invest in wedges to save the hems! Alright since I came in over the weekend for Early Black Friday shopping, I have to leave a cautionary note for all shoppers: be aware and check your receipts. The merchandising of this store is pretty good so you shouldn't have problems finding what you need however, they have a bunch of new associates who just started and don't know where everything is. I get it, they're preparing for the onslaught of customers for Black Friday however, they should be a little more knowledgeable or immediately getting on that walkie for help. Asking for help is fine, but when another customer has to tell me where something is, I think we have a problem. Also, the registers are going to be extremely slow since they've moved employees from the floor to the registers. Check that the math on your return is correct. Especially that they're incorporating the discount you received to your exchange or return. $6 does not equal $4.25 for future reference. Otherwise, I'm surprised with the quality of Old Navy products nowadays. They used to be on par with Forever 21 but now I am seeing better fabrics being used at really great price points. read more

I have a fair amount of luck finding a super deal on a winter coat at Old Navy, as well winter accessories and basics like leggings and t-shirts. Their jean sizing has changed over the years, which means I can't just go in and grab my size, I gotta try them on, so that's a pain, but what can you do? Most places it seems to be that way now. The few times I've been to this particular location it's been clean and pretty neat. The cashier's were a little slow however. And some of them didn't have the best attitude for a retail environment. A little more focus on the customer experience would take this from a 2 to a 3, for sure. read more

Old Navy has gone down in quality and up in price over the years. The redid this location no that long ago and it is better than it used to be. This location is surprisingly clean but then again, I went on a week day, during lunch. I can't speak on it for the weekend. I am a huge fan of their jean leggings and tank tops. The rest of the stuff here is hit or miss. They only had one cashier yesterday and a growing line. He did call for another one to come up, but no one did. Annoying. I've always loved Old Navy for clothes for my kids and pajamas for myself. Southcenter was never my favorite location, though, mainly because their selection never seemed to be as good as the downtown Seattle or Factoria locations. But I've changed my mind. They are much better now. I even managed to score some amazing deals on the Saturday after Black Friday, when the whole store was 40% off. I couldn't believe they still had such a great selection available. I will definitely frequent this location more often. read more

It's a crazy mess In this location, every staff member seems stressed and it rubs off on the customers. For a lack of better words it's a "cluster ****" I was helped by Carly and she was easily the most rude employee I've ever delt with at this location. Second associate came up to the front AND GOT HANGERS AND SMILED (no one can call them unfriendly) AND THEN WALKED AWAY. Horrible customer service. While shopping, and asking to get a "code" for the restroom, I was told to wait, then escorted to the restroom where the employee entered the code. Maybe that is store policy because the store is in a rough part of town, but not hospitable at all. read more

I will never go to this Old Navy again. They employees were more into themselves than anyone else. The ones at the register did not know what they were doing and all had to keep calling a manger for help and never called for backup at the registers even with the huge line. When doing an 'EXCHANGE' item for exact same item they did not do an even exchange and did not explain that. They refunded my card and wanted to recharge it... If this had been explained to me before they put it through the system I would have said no because I did not have available funds to cover the item again while it took a few business days to show back in my account. So I lost the awesome sale price I received when I purchased the item online and they would not honor it unless I re-bought the item that day! WFH!!! They screwed up on my EXCHANGE big time! Then the guy/girl tried to argue with me when I said if they had told me I would not have done it that day. Are you kidding me! Why are you arguing with me about something you never explained!?!?!?! Was rebuffed by one of their retail associates when I asked if a coupon was valid for on sale items. "Read the back!" Was her answer quite rudely. She was right. In small lettering on the bottom it said it was not. Still, I left with a sour feeling from the experience. Won't be going to this particular one again.
