The process was unclear--I didn't know if my pistols stayed or if parts were ordered first, and pricing wasn't explained. As I asked questions and adjusted my plan based on his advice, the gunsmith suddenly said, "I can give you a refund and kick you out of my shop," in a rude manner. I stayed calm, asked for the refund, received it and left. The shop was untidy (should have been 1st hint) and the experience was unprofessional. At Kings Armory, by contrast, they explained everything clearly, gave me options, and even told me one trigger didn't need work. Professional, honest, and respectful--that's how customers should be treated. I still believe in supporting veteran-owned businesses, but professionalism and respect should always come first.

When I told him I buy and sell that model regularly, that I know it's value, he responded he'd sell it for $1,125. So I thanked him for his time (he simply turned his back on me) and left. Two days later, I went to a different business and was given $2,300 in trade and treated with respect. It's obvious which of those two gun stores I'll do business with in the future.

After consulting with my ChatGP "buddy\advisor" specific screws were crucial to successful install. I purchased them separately from Amazon. Steve didn't like the head tapering. He asked permission to use his own screws. Upon my affirmation, he proceeded to his belt sander to make custom length modifications on his own screws. He treated my Tracker like a surgeon with his scalpels being a host different punches, screwdrivers, and Allen wrenches. He was intriguing to watch! Not only did he calibrate my scope perfectly, I asked him if he could take a quick look at my 9mm semi with a green dot laser to check its alignment. "No problem". Done in a jiffy. Since they didn't have the exact gun I wanted in stock the guy showed me something similar in size and even let me hold it to get the feel of it. I put my name on the list to be called when it came in. Fast forward about a month later and I finally get the phone call to come pick it up. I get there and Vanessa was there waiting for me. She went over everything that was in the box with me and how to use everything, how to load it and how to hold it. Then she helped me pick out some ammo both for the range and some for protection. We picked out some ear protection, she showed me which ones would be the best and then some cleaning materials. I'm very happy both about my first gun and the service they provided. The only thing I was sad about was when I got home I noticed one corner of the box was ripped. I wish I would of noticed before I left the store so I could of exchanged it.

After weeks of trying to get ahold of them by phone and email and not receiving any communication, I called my bank and canceled the payment. Once the payment was canceled, that's when I started to receive calls telling me they sent my package. funny how they started to respond after I made a complaint to BBB. This is a terrible company and I would not recommend Homestead Gun Parts to anyone.
