I came here in March for a Yelp event. I was supposed to get Cheesey Bread but, they ran out. My Yelp family said it was good so, I decided to check it out for myself. It was pretty tasty. It was picture perfect, crispy with goey Cheese. There was a light taste and smell of Garlic. It was like 8 inches but seemed so small? There was a 10 min wait and a drink was offered while I wait. The Bar area was crowded and it seemed like the AC was out but they, had a fan that was blowing cool air that helped out a lot. The Waitress was working her butt off and the server made sure I got what I ordered. There were lots of to go orders and you are charged a small fee if you want an order to go? A super cute venue near UTA. This place has been here for 15 years. The building appears to be previously a house with 2-3 bedrooms. They preserve the basic layout & character, which I think is cool. The back patio is surprisingly spacious. Parking wasn't a problem behind the building. The sausage & supreme pizzas were sooo good, thin soft crust with rich melting cheese & juicy moist tasty pieces of meat. The vegetarian pizza was also juicy & tasty. The special cocktail is a sweet mixture of strawberry, vodka, sprite, which I enjoyed. It's been a while since we visited Old School Pizza Tavern. We decided to visit today (3/9) . We had five in our party and we all ordered different pizzas. I ordered the Carnivore, my wife had the 8" Chicken Bacon Ranch, my brother had the 8" Mediterranean, and my son and daughter had the Alfredo Chicken and the Maverick. We all liked our pizzas. On another note, it does take time for the pizzas to be fully baked, but that should be expected. This is not a pizza chain restaurant that turns out pizza in ten minutes. It's a small house. Cute little bar area with a few TVs with some good sports on. A great selection of alcohol options. I had a local draft beer and it was fresh! I was able to have Monica hs my server she was very helpful! I did notice the crew needs to work on team building and team work to be more productive with service. Food was delicious. A real old-school pizza place that looks like a movie set. They have a variety of dishes and they serve the best pizzas in four different sizes, which are customizable. The staff are super friendly, but the place is noisy. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Arlington. Update after a year: we went here again (total 3 people) for dinner and the food was amazing. But we were charged an extra gratuity amount almost equivalent to the rate of a pizza since the bill was generated after 8 pm, and it was mandatory to pay. Friends and I would always go to old schools during our undergrad days at UTA. The pizza is the staying power here. Always loved their buffalo chicken and Mediterranean pizza. The Mediterranean pizza here remains one of my favorite pizzas. Decent beer selection. I remember this place offered Blood and Honey before the corporate takeover of the brand. Service was very friendly and attentive, the clientele was largely populated by UTArlington students, and the restaurant was broken up into three separate dining rooms which was somehow aesthetically pleasing. The pizza tasted great, but what was more surprising is that our flatbread, large caesar salad, and medium specialty pizza all came out to just $32. I haven't seem prices like that since the early 2000's. While there may be a couple better tasting pizza establishments in the metroplex, this one's certainly the best value. read more

A friend and I had dinner here before attending the Dallas Wings game. It doesn't look like much from the exterior. You enter from the rear into what is a pretty cozy layout. We wandered through looking for a hostess or staff. Once we got to the front where the bar is located, we were greeted and told that it's open seating. We reviewed the menu and placed our orders. I got the honey hot pizza and my friend got the carnivore. I must admit that the honey hot was DELICIOUS! It had the elements I love of sweet and spicy and thankfully the thin crust only helped to enhance the flavors. The carnivore was just okay. My friend ordered pan crust and I just tasted dough, cheese and meat- nothing spectacular. 1 star was removed due to us wanting cocktails and being told that certain things were out of stock. The other star is because the server returning and repeatedly making comments in jest about the entire honey hot pizza being eaten. I thought it was insensitive and tone deaf . She made the assumption that I'd eaten the entire pizza by myself which shouldn't have mattered if I had. Regardless,please keep your judgements to yourself. Had the meat eaters pizza w/Pineapple w/regular crust. It was delicious. Unique setting. Set up in a very old school from the 1800. Your tables are old school desk and the place starts hoping around 6:30 pm. Left my phone in the car so I would have taken picture's. I must say though it was delicious pizza and 2 medium drinks came to $34.00. It's unreal how prices have jumped. Sticker shock, but the pizza was delicious. The servers were on top of every thing. My family and I were in the downtown Arlington area and decided to stop at Old School Pizza Tavern. It was before 5pm so it wasn't very busy. We were able to choose our seats and we were promptly waited on. The waitstaff is extremely friendly. We had two servers on this visit. The first female waitress was kind enough to help us even though we caught her at the end of her shift. She handed the reins over to a gentleman that finished the job. We ordered the Maverick and the Mediterranean pizza. Both were delicious. I ordered a Caesar salad but it was just ok. The reason for the 4 stars is that I was double charged for the meal. I didn't find out until I was balancing my bank account and noticed the discrepancy. I immediately called and spoke with a manager. The error was promptly taken care of! Apparently it was an issue that they were aware of, so not much explaining on my part was needed. Outside of this, we had a great time. read more

The hubs loves pizza and we have been slowly trying out joints. I took him here for a fun night out. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. We had top notch customer service here. The have a decent on tap selection and a lot of drink specials. I had the feisty blonde beer, it was delicious. We ordered a veggie pizza and an order of wings. My hubby raves about the crust. Was in town visiting family over Christmas and my brother-in-law took us here for "Whiskey Wednesday" and $2.50 whiskeys. The pizza was pretty decent. I had an 8" personal pizza with sausage and real bacon. The others I was with split a larger pizza and I must say that the larger pizza looked to be cooked through much better as my smaller one was slightly over crispy for my taste. I think this place might actually be in an old school? The vibes inside strongly suggest this. Many of the tables look like old desks. I have had pizza here awhile back when the name was different. I'm not sure if this is the same pizza with a different name or a totally new establishment? This place is VERY casual, lots of pizza options (4 different sizes), other foods available, along with craft beer and cocktails. We ordered 3 different types of pizza with varying crusts. We got the philly on regular crust, bacon ranch on thin crust, and the buffalo on regular crust. All the pizzas came out piping hot and were pretty good. My favorite by far was the bacon ranch. It has so much flavor. It really stood out from the other three. I also liked the thin crust better than the regular crust, to my surprise. The regular crust was good, but it ever so slightly reminded me of Pizza Hut crust (much better of course). I think a lot of it was the texture and thickness that reminded me of this. Overall, I would for sure come back. They have an outback patio for cooler seasons, summer maybe not so much. I'll be sure to come on a cooler day to enjoy their patio. read more

Tried bone in wings-Naked-they were ok Ukraine waitress was trying to tell jokes-funny My only complaint was the temperature of the restaurant. We had 12 of us in a room and when we walked it it was already hot, add 12 people and now it's hotter. Wall AC was broken (I asked) and ceiling fan couldn't keep up. I used to love this place... Their hamburger pizza is delicious when properly cooked. Sadly, the last time I was there, my salad had dirt in it and not a little bit tons of dirt in it. These people have no comcern for customer service anymore. Andrea was the server serving us who has extremely Racist attitude. First these guys made us wait for more than an hour and than ended up bringing wrong pizza. Once asked to get it fixed we were told there will be another 1.5 hours of wait. I went there to have pizza with a friend I ordered a pizza thinking it was gonna be a supreme. My came and it was loaded with cheese all over the top so I couldn't tell what was underneath. The young lady the waitress said that's where our pizzas are done, I told her I'd like to have a supreme where I can see all the toppings on top and I'd like crispy crunchy pizza not soggy dough pizza so I sent it back and they made it again but it still was soggy. When I called to order food I was rudely interrupted when I asked what wing flavors they had.. the staff member stated 'look online I ain't got time for that'. Btw the wing flavors are not listed online. I immediately stated that I would go online, due to pure embarrassment. I am probably about two months late writing this review, but one thing about reviews it's never too late to tell somebody how you feel lol. I was in the area visiting my cousin and she had a birthday party and said she was going to order some pizzas. She told me she was going to order from Pizza Hut and I thought they have to be a local pizza joint around here with some good pizza. I did some yelp reviews and I found this place! When I looked at the pictures of what the pizza look like y'all already had my heart! The reviews were good too. So we decided to go ahead and order five pizzas from this place and when I say this is the BEST pizza that I have had in a very long time I mean it. When they SAY old-school pizza this is definitely it! I LOVE when the toppings are under the cheese! The cheese was so gooey and just so much yumminess! They ended up delivering us a wrong pizza that was still amazing! I called them back told him that they accidentally gave us a chicken pizza and they re-deliver the right pizza that we actually ordered. Customer service outstanding! Pizza, best pizza that I've had in a very long time. I probably put about 20 people on to this place, so you're welcome and thank you for an amazing experience. My truth is I just ordered a pizza from a place here in Cali and I only hoped it was going to taste like this and it was disappointing. If only I could fly a pizza from Texas to California!!!
