It's been a while since we visited Old School Pizza Tavern. We decided to visit today (3/9) . We had five in our party and we all ordered different pizzas. I ordered the Carnivore, my wife had the 8" Chicken Bacon Ranch, my brother had the 8" Mediterranean, and my son and daughter had the Alfredo Chicken and the Maverick. We all liked our pizzas. On another note, it does take time for the pizzas to be fully baked, but that should be expected. This is not a pizza chain restaurant that turns out pizza in ten minutes. We found the restaurant and restrooms were clean, and our server was friendly and helpful. We will be back. Stay hungry my friends...

It's a small house. Cute little bar area with a few TVs with some good sports on. A great selection of alcohol options. I had a local draft beer and it was fresh! I was able to have Monica hs my server she was very helpful! I did notice the crew needs to work on team building and team work to be more productive with service. Food was delicious. Very authentic pizza , crust was delicious.! I'm glad I had the opportunity to come check it out. Garlic bread was great, Caesar salad was on point! Can't wait to come back and try different pizzas. Also great happy hour during the whole week!

Old School Pizza Tavern has that classic college town feel--laid-back, lively, and a great spot to grab drinks with friends. The food is honestly the star here, especially the pizza, which was amazing. The small rooms and cozy layout give it a cool ambience that makes it feel different from a typical sports bar. Good vibe overall, definitely a spot I'd come back to. Good service as well.

A real old-school pizza place that looks like a movie set. They have a variety of dishes and they serve the best pizzas in four different sizes, which are customizable. The staff are super friendly, but the place is noisy. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Arlington. Update after a year: we went here again (total 3 people) for dinner and the food was amazing. But we were charged an extra gratuity amount almost equivalent to the rate of a pizza since the bill was generated after 8 pm, and it was mandatory to pay. Not sure if this is the same scenario everywhere else.

Hands down my favorite pizza in Arlington! Great owner great staff amazing dough on the pizza, definitely get the regular crust. It has a great flavor that the thin crust lacks. Top-notch toppings, excellent cheese the sauce isn't too sweet. Hands-down, the best pizza you're gonna find in DFW!

I ordered a pizza and salad. I ordered the salad with a bunch of ingredients. They just delivered lettuce and dressing.

The pot of luck shot was amazing! I did like their pizza too. Kind of tight in there since it's a small building but I love the atmosphere.

Was in town visiting a friend and we decided on pizza. Hit up the Yelp app and headed over. Dough was great, had a good chew and the toppings were plentiful. We got to take home 4 pieces it was so filling. The server was new but she was doing a great job.

You've heard of Tex-Mex, now welcome to Tex-Italian. Old School Pizza Tavern has the menu of an Italian restaurant with the vibes of an old Texas institution. Service was very friendly and attentive, the clientele was largely populated by UTArlington students, and the restaurant was broken up into three separate dining rooms which was somehow aesthetically pleasing. The pizza tasted great, but what was more surprising is that our flatbread, large caesar salad, and medium specialty pizza all came out to just $32. I haven't seem prices like that since the early 2000's. While there may be a couple better tasting pizza establishments in the metroplex, this one's certainly the best value.

A friend and I had dinner here before attending the Dallas Wings game. It doesn't look like much from the exterior. You enter from the rear into what is a pretty cozy layout. We wandered through looking for a hostess or staff. Once we got to the front where the bar is located, we were greeted and told that it's open seating. We reviewed the menu and placed our orders. I got the honey hot pizza and my friend got the carnivore. I must admit that the honey hot was DELICIOUS! It had the elements I love of sweet and spicy and thankfully the thin crust only helped to enhance the flavors. The carnivore was just okay. My friend ordered pan crust and I just tasted dough, cheese and meat- nothing spectacular. 1 star was removed due to us wanting cocktails and being told that certain things were out of stock. The other star is because the server returning and repeatedly making comments in jest about the entire honey hot pizza being eaten. I thought it was insensitive and tone deaf . She made the assumption that I'd eaten the entire pizza by myself which shouldn't have mattered if I had. Regardless, please keep your judgements to yourself. I'd return to try a specialty pizza but don't think I'd dine in again.

Crown and coke is good! Bartender rocks!

Great pizza!! Cheesy, buttery and delicious pizza. Reminds me of growing up in Chicago and going to Homerun Inn with my grandparents.

Monica was horrible she was rude and constantly talked bad about coworkers. The food was decent but dealing with her made my time miserable.

Our company provided each guest with three drink tickets, and many attendees -- including ourselves -- happily purchased additional drinks beyond that. Unfortunately, our experience with most of the bartenders was disappointing. We visited two different bar stations, and several bartenders came across as rude or uninterested, almost as if serving guests was an inconvenience. This stood out especially since the event was a large private rental, and guests were continuing to spend money throughout the evening. That said, one bartender truly made a positive impression -- Analilia. She was friendly, welcoming, and had an amazing attitude that completely changed the experience at her bar. She provided the level of service you would expect at a venue of this caliber. Despite the inconsistent service, we still enjoyed the event overall thanks to the atmosphere, food, and entertainment. I hope management recognizes team members like Analilia and works to ensure a more consistently positive guest experience across all bar stations in the future.

We drove out, paid for parking, and walked up expecting to grab dinner and watch the Mexico World Cup match, only to be told at the door that they had "just started charging admission for the Mexico games." Mind you, we came to Texas Live to see Mexico vs S Korea, USA vs AUS, USA vs HERZ, and were not charged. Seriously? If you're going to change your policy and charge people just to enter your venue to eat and watch a game, the least you can do is make that crystal clear before people spend money on parking. It was not on their website so this is UNACCEPTABLE! AND why just the Mexico games? I'd say that was predatory at the least. If it was solely about safety, let who arrives be served, but you took advantage and cost us $ AND inconvenience. DO BETTER!

They have auto gratuity on all checks. Food was good for fried food. My husband enjoyed his daiquiri but it was really sweet. The atmosphere was not what I expected pretty loud for such a small spot, but my husband enjoyed the music. So I would put this almost as a lounge category rather than a traditional sports bar. Overall I don't think the amount of food was appropriate for the price. Especially the fact that those mozzarella sticks were $10 and only included 4 thats $2.50 a piece. It just wasn't my vibe, but it wasn't bad overall

After spending a Friday night here, I can see why. Drinks are cheap, there's pool and darts here, plenty of seating, comfort bar eats, friendly bartenders, and an atmosphere that screams Texas and college town. I was surprised that it wasn't as packed as I expected a college town bar to be on a Friday night. Since it was mid April, maybe there was an event or something else occurring?
