If it's a busy night, parking fills up quick. The other side of the parking lot is reserved for the other businesses (even after hours/those businesses are closed) and they will boot your car!

While the lady at the host stand was trying to find solutions for us, what seemed to be the manager barged into the conversation and told us "absolutely not" for a table request. Apparently everything was saved for their regulars. Fine. We are told we can go to the bar. We get there and the bar tender is anything BUT pleased to see two patrons come up to hr to ask for drinks. She tells us that we need to get up at 6:30 for people who have reserved bar seats. Again, whatever. I ordered a $25 drink from her (tipped on top of included gratuity) and she served me a plastic cup with regular ice. Wouldn't have been mad if I didn't see a man come and order the same drink with a lesser bourbon and get a glass and the classic old fashioned ice cube. It was just made very clear that our money wasn't wanted. Next we got on the waitlist for a table. They said we could only be seated with strangers while we watched other people come ALSO with no reservation and get seated only with their party. All in all everything was mediocre and a waste of money. I shouldn't have to beg for good service where I'm spending money and they should really evaluate whether they want money that's right in front of their face or "wait until their regulars arrive." Nothing "Chicago" about this place. Especially the attitudes.

They were great at answering my questions and it helped me move around the menu. Let me start with they have hand-cut fries...they have really, really good hand-cut fries. If you have hand-cut fries, you have a friend in me, if they are really good, you have a fan! My first trip I went specifically for the Reuben. It is what I saw that they had and that was my mission. It was a good Reuben, I think enjoyed it and would go back for another. This trip I was thinking Cheesesteak, but the Outlaw caught my attention, a cheesesteak with a twist. I was a fan of the twist. The pepperoni and salami plus the grilled red onions and banana peppers with the hot sauce crushed!

If you are looking for a good Rueben with a fantastic flavor this is one spot you will want to add to your list to try. Been there twice now and ordered both times. Both times were exactly the same. They do also offer breakfast, which is what others in my party ordered both times. They also didn't disappoint on that either. So it wasn't just fluke they got it right the first time. Prices are not out of control either, which is good in this times. Thank you for that. Don't wait go and check it out and leave your own review. **They have outdoor seating go and enjoy beautiful weather and amazing food all in one spot, well worth the day on a gorgeous day**

For this Friday's out and about exploring of new restaurants, we tried Chili Chop. I'd found the…read morelocation on FB Reels or TikTok and it looked good. I'd sent it to my better half and he said, "let's go." OK... it's a hole in the wall in a strip center. But you know that sometimes those places are absolutely wonderful. And this was one of those times. From the time we walked in, we were welcomed. The lady working the front went through the menu... explained the options and even told us about options that weren't listed. I decided on the Heat Combo... the hubby decided on the Regular Combo. You're going to find that everything is made to order. So nothing just sitting around. The sandwiches are what I'd call burritos in a bun. Wrapped in foil and then paper. We were warned to keep the foil on... And with good reason! These are not sit in the car and eat sandwiches. They're moist... they're juicy and DELICIOUS! Now, I got the one called the Heat. It was not overly spicy but had a good level of heat. I was told if you like it spicy, just ask for hot sauce. I'm kinda torn by that because the general flavor of the sandwich is really good and wouldn't want to cover that up. The Combo comes with thick potato wedges. They were good and neither of us were able to finish all of them. They have some side dipping sauces I want to try next time. We opted to dine in. The dining room is a bit small and standard. There are only about 4 or 5 tables. But, it's clean (spotless clean) and does the trick. I imagine if it's busy it can get quite full. Honestly... this style of food is pretty unique to the Metro. It's not quite a Philly Restaurant... it's not quite a traditional Chili Shop... It's more of what you'd see with a "loose meat" restaurant from the Midwest. But whatever you think it is, it works. And we'll be back!

Great service and great food. Highly recommend. I will be back to try additional dishes very soon.read more
