We had a long day and just wanted to eat at home, so we decided to place a takeout order. After browsing the website, we settled on the Salisbury steak meal, a veggie plate, lemon pepper wings with fries, a chicken tender meal, and a slice of strawberry cake. Second good point: the website was user-friendly. However, when I tried to place the order, the payment wouldn't go through. My husband called the restaurant, and we were told they were having some technical difficulties with their system--but we could place the order over the phone instead. Third good point: the person we spoke to was friendly and helpful. The food was hot and fresh when my husband brought it home. Overall, everything was good--there were a few minor issues, but nothing that was a deal breaker: The mac and cheese was a bit dry, and the cheese wasn't fully melted. The collard greens were a little too salty, and the chicken tenders were pretty bland. The icing on the strawberry cake was also a bit too sweet for my taste--but that might just be personal preference. Other than that, everything was delicious. I'm looking forward to actually going inside next time, whether to dine in or get takeout.

I do wish the fried squash had some seasoning, tasted like there was none at all, BUT the crispy coating was so good & crunchy that it didn't matter. The plantain nachos are especially good because you get that sweet and salty crunch from the plantains with the jerk chicken and crema on top. For my main, I had the Djon Djon Bowl with salmon, and that was probably my favorite. The rice is rich, earthy, and full of flavor, and the salmon works really well with it. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and the manager also made a point to make sure we were taken care of. That kind of hospitality really adds to the experience. The ambiance is warm, lively, and inviting with a modern Caribbean feel. It's casual enough to be comfortable but still has enough personality to make it feel like more than just a quick meal. What I like about Zeke's is that the food feels familiar enough to be approachable but still gives you a real introduction to Haitian flavors. The portions are generous, the food is well seasoned, and there's a lot on the menu I'd come back to try. If you've never had Haitian food before, I'd absolutely recommend starting here. You won't regret giving it a try, and there's a very good chance it'll keep you coming back. Seriously, 5 out of 5 stars.

I've tried the griot, cabrit, and Djon Djon rice with shrimp, and everything has been delicious. The drinks are worth the price, and that Haitian rum is good and STRONG! I also love the cute atmosphere and simplicity of the design. The employees are knowledgeable about Haitian culture, which makes the experience even better. Definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're looking for good Haitian food and a nice atmosphere.

I was happy with…read moremy order of jerk chicken nachos, I'll probably go for 'no melted queso' but my cousin was not pleased with her jerk chicken. Their jerk chicken isn't made on the grill-- while it may taste good it wasn't authentic. Though that wasn't the compliant by my cousin, it was that it wasn't cooked throughly. Our server offered to have the cooks prepare it again but we declined. The hookah smoke definitely consumes the inside while the outside patio provides a semi-fresher alternative to enjoying their establishment. The seats out there were pretty low, so be mindful of those knees. While I'd likely attempt to visit again there could possibly be some improvements made. I want to try more of their food and I enjoyed their music as well.

My friend and I both ordered the shrimp and grits and they were overly good. I've never had shrimp and grits with an Alfredo-style sauce, but now I get it... I don't want it any other way. The service was just as good as the food. Our waitresses were super kind and friendly. We were seated outside on such a beautiful day but they didn't forget us. They stayed attentive and that made the whole experience even better. My only gripe was the Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte. The flavor was there, but having actual cereal in the drink wasn't my favorite once it got soggy. The texture through the straw was a little off. I think a cinnamon sugar version would've been perfect instead. But honestly, that's minor. I would definitely go back again and again and again. Such a gem!

The pancakes were HUGE but so soft & perfectly sweet. The shrimp & grits were flavored well, maybe just a hair too salty, but not to the point where I wouldn't order them again. Their waffles were a hit too. Everything tasted real good & I was satisfied with food. Now the reason they're getting a 3 is because the experience/service was not up to par in the least. We arrived around 2 (they close at 4). They are a smaller restaurant, so while there were minimal tables initially, the crowd was starting to dwindle. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated, then waited about 10 minutes until a server approached our table. Since we'd already been waiting, we decided to just order drinks & food at one time. Our food came fairly quick & that was it. My friend wanted another drink but decided it wasn't worth it after the time waiting to order it. I needed a refill on my water (never got it). The server walked by twice after I asked, but just kept forgetting. She did apologize after the 2nd time & asked if I still wanted it. At that point, it'd been almost an hour & I was finished anyway so I said no thanks. She asked if we at least wanted to-go water. I declined but my friend said yes. She never got the to-go water. The server was very nice & there were even other staff walking by, but getting anything after our food was impossible. It even took forever to request the check. If they were busy or packed, we could have understood-- but being that we came close to closing & could see how many other people were there, the constant waiting made no sense. Like I said before, the food was food so I'd order them to-go, but I probably won't be back to dine in.
