However, their food is delicious! I was so disappointed to attend a wedding once where they ran out of food & didn't apologize to the guests. It was upsetting, but not the reason we attending, so we didn't let it get to us. We love this venue. The venue was nice enough, the food was decent (to be fair, they are cooking for a lot of people) but pretty limited on choices, the wait staff were great, but my goodness.... the head event coordinator Jenny? Awful. She was super difficult to work with. She works very limited hours making it difficult to schedule meetings (she refused to schedule a meeting a couple of months out, and then it was challenging to set the meeting because, go figure, everyone's schedules had filled up, including hers), and doesn't realize that clients are people who work and have schedules also. The worst part is her attitude. EVERY time we asked a question she got snippy and told us to look at the documentation "it's all on there, you need to look at it." Here's the thing.... we STILL haven't received everything we should have and our event was weeks ago. She is extremely rude, even telling my wife "this isn't all about you!" Three times in a 20 second period. Um, we are planning a wedding, so, it kinda is. But the reality was made apparent, that everything is about Jenny. She got our head count wrong and blamed us for giving her bad information. She even got our wedding date wrong, and told us (after we gave a non-refundable deposit 2 months prior) that the venue wasn't available for our wedding. When we figured out that this was her error, she STILL took no responsibility. It's everyone else's fault but her own. We also got feedback from every one of our vendors telling us how rude she was when she called them. Disrespectful, inconsiderate, rude, confrontational (we have some amazing emails we are considering forwarding to the venue director), takes zero accountability for her mistakes. The Roseville Area of Chamber has hosted a yearly Dinner at Timber Creek for over 20 years and Jenny has always been beyond amazing to work with!!!! She was very accommodating with last minute changes of our event and her staff went above and beyond to do things that weren't even in our contract (for example: lighting the candles to our center pieces). The tables were set beautifully and the salads, entrees and desserts were served promptly (which can be hard for a room of 300 people). Jenny, Issac and the rest of the staff made their jobs look so easy. I was beyond impressed with the service from start to finish! I highly recommend Timber Creek for your next event! read more

Staff do not care if you are looking for help or arrangements. The staff onsite informed us to call to schedule appointment. Grounds need lots of work. Staff need better communication. Rooms to consider for reception are definitely touched up in any wedding pictures you find. No pricing. Lack of help. Good: some parking. Bad: not a friendly employee or staff, uneducated and non responsive staff to questions, and place will waste your time for grounds that need to be updated or better maintained. Definitely a no go. Picking out a wedding venue, haven't officially decided yet, but Timber Creek is in the top choices. Here's one of the things that really sets them apart: they are the best of anyone I've seen at communication. Their initial public wedding information is super informative and lists prices--many venues try to hide their prices until you contact them. Timber Creek's information is comprehensive and covered nearly all of my questions. They offer drop-in tours, as well, which is great! Kathy gave me a tour of the place, and answered many of my questions before I knew I had those questions. After my tour, Jenny dropped me a line to make sure all my questions were answered. The ballroom is beautiful even without decorating, and has a stage, which is a selling point for us. Even if we don't end up choosing them, I felt I had to write this review because they left such a great impression. I was looking for a place to hold a surprise party for my wife's 50th birthday party. I wanted it to be a surprise. I also wanted to have a 80's cover band play. This was a big "to do". I needed to keep it secret and have the latitude to do what I wanted. After searching nearly a dozen places, I came upon the Timber Creek Ballroom. It's located in Roseville in a mostly senior community. Funny. I figured what the hell, let's give it a shot. Boy was I impressed. Jenny, my coordinator and catering sales director, was fantastic. She was there for me every step of the way. Keep in mind this was around Christmas time. Party was Dec 27. Issaac, was my go to guy the day of the party. He and his staff are top notch. They were very helpful and eager to please. As well as super nice. The food. Oh, the food. I can't express in writing how good the food was. Never ran out of food. Cooked to perfection. Timber Creek Ballroom is the absolute best! I noticed them in several of the Sacramento area wedding magazines and decided to check it out. The venue is beautiful, both indoors and outdoors. Jenny the coordinator is wonderful. She's not pushy and even encourages you to look into other venues and held our wedding date for a week to continue or search and make a decision. She responds quickly and thoroughly to questions in all forms of communication and is very organized. Her personality is a bonus! We had our wedding at Timber Creek on 5/31/13. It went perfectly and was better than I ever imagined! Jenny was so great to work with during the planning stages. The ceremony was SO beautiful outside in the rose garden. It was almost 100 degrees that day and you really couldn't tell since they have that patio overhang with a sunshade and fans. Seriously, what a lifesaver!! The reception space looked beautiful and was set up exactly as Jenny and I had discussed. Isaac is the banquet manager who runs the reception and he was so friendly and helped out tremendously. Oh and the food!! The food was so delicious! We still have people telling us how good the food was. We did the Italian buffet and every single dish was splendid and there was way more than enough for everyone. The bartender at the wedding was so nice and made some great drinks. My husband and I are extremely happy we picked Timber Creek for our wedding. We got way way more for our money then we would have gotten elsewhere and the quality was top notch for everything. I do not have one complaint about the venue or its staff. My fiancé just called and spoke to Jenny and tried to schedule an appointment on an upcoming weekend to view the venue. We figured we would check if they happened to have any availability last minute for this weekend (what could it hurt to ask?). He was rudely informed that Jenny has no time to show us the venue in the next few weekends. I then called right back to see if maybe there was a misunderstanding. I was appalled at how curt and incredibly unprofessional she was. She told me she can't schedule an upcoming weekend because they don't arrange appointments more than two weeks in advance and she has a bridal fair next weekend and won't be on premises. When I asked if we could arrange a time on a weekend further out (my fiancé works out of town during the week), she said she doesn't do that. And then had to insult and belittle me by saying that she has no time and reminded me that I called at 4:30 on a Friday, which I felt was unnecessary of her because I already said we could do another weekend if we could schedule it with her. She was unwilling to really offer up any solutions and was so rude that I would never wish to do business with this place regarding something so important as our wedding day. She really needs an education in hospitality. Or another job. Because she just ran off a very interested customer. *follow up. Someone pm'd me telling me I was rude for leaving this review. I am entitled to my own opinion and I think my review was justified as they are trying to run a business. Why would anyone in Northern California ever host an event anywhere else. The catering staff is most competent and efficient. Jenny and those who work with her in the office know what they are doing and are most professional in attitude and very knowledgeable when it comes to event planning. I found their suggestions and direction to be very helpful. On the day of our event, everything was more than perfect. Their staff member, Mr. Francisco Passillas, went way out of his way to help us make sure everything was perfect. The lighting and the sound and the decor was so much better than we expected. We had my mom's 75th birthday party at the ballroom, and it was a HUGE hit! Jenny was so awesome and flexible at organizing the event. Very detailed and organized, and always professional. She is patient, and follows through with any ideas. The day of the party, Isasac and his staff were to accommodating to any and all of our requests. So very helpful in attending to the details. Issac went above and beyond to decorate the buffet table with vases of flowers he had that matched our color scheme. What a beautiful touch he has. We had a buffet, and the food was AMAZING!
