That tells me that this company is honest and really wanted my business. When the work started it took 2 days. The owner Geronimo was on the roof with his employee 3 days later. Replaced the leaking furnance roof flashing as needed and 7 other pipe flashings and painted them as needed for preventative maintenance.. other work completed was removal of the valley tiles and cleaning out the leaves. Afterwards a power washing of the roof and cleaning of the property before leaving. Let's put it this way this is an honest roofing contractor. I am a retired B General contractor with 40 years experience I only hire subcontractors that I can trust hands down! Old Town Roofing came in with a VERY competitive bid to replace the aging shake roof on one of my rental properties. They were not the cheapest bid, but I felt most comfortable going with them. Their estimate included a building permit right off the bat, which made me feel a little more comfortable. I had a few estimates that said permit was optional, which made me feel a little uneasy. They took care of the replacing the roof, repairing some dry rot, and installing new gutters. The dry rot repair was extra an $400; unfortunate, but not unreasonable. They started work a week after I accepted the estimate. Work started on Friday and they were done by Tuesday the following week. I had no issues throughout the process. This rental property is over an hour from my house, so we did the entire transaction via email, phone, and text message. Payment was made through Zelle and by check, deposited directly into their account; no need for me to drive an hour to the job site to pay them. Overall, I loved their promptness, their ability get the job done quickly, and their flexibility in payment options. Really good experience. When having contractor bid on your re-roofing job, there are 3 types on Contractors. The Premiere, Gold Certified, High Roller roof master contractor that will give you an estimate that is twice the price of everyone else. ( He does quality work at a premium cost). Then there is low ball ( doesn't want to pull a permit) short cutter, shoddy work, half the price, hidden charges, outta business next week guy. Then there's Old Town Roofing with the owner operator Geronimo. His price was most competitive of the legitimate roofing contractors. He pulled a permit and supervised the job from start to finish. He stripped my 32 year old shake roof, repaired the fascia, new low profile vents, 30 years GAF shingles, and new seamless gutters. These folks did a roof down the block. It looked good, so I called them. They responded that day, and had a fella in the neighborhood who was able to give me a quote the same day. All looked good, so decided to give them the contract. It was a about 6 weeks before they could start, but they got the roof done in 6 days. I had a lot of dry rot, skylights, vents - everything handled. They handled the permit and inspection, so I really didn't need to do anything (except listen to nail guns for days!) One thing that impressed me was that they clean up around the house everyday before they leave. Courteous guys, prompt and professional sales & office staff. Fair price. When most roofers couldn't find time, Old Town Roofing was able to accommodate my request for them to estimate and fix the roof. Geronimo Mercado did a great job and took time to take pictures so he could show me how the roof had been repaired. He also took time to explain how the repair was done and what to expect if other needed repairs would go unattended. I had a roof tile that had been cracked and slid down to expose the roof's underlayment which resulted in having water come through the ceiling when it was raining heavily. Was able to get someone to come out to give an estimate within a few hours - that was great. The estimate was free - that was great. Individual who came out had a heavy accent, which I could not understand, and masks do not help (love that he wore a mask upon my request) and when I asked him to please send me an email detailing what was wrong (that they could not fix) so I could relay the info to my husband he told me it would be $450 for a report. Initial inspection the next morning...Repairs started and completed the next day...9 hours so this was no easy band-aid! Next day it pours! I have used Old Town Roofing a few times now and have always found them to be wonderful. I have worked with Geronimo and he has been very responsive, always shows up when he says he will and returns calls in a reasonable time. After we had 6" of rain late last year I had a leak in my roof. I called him since he had done great work previously for me. He was at my house later that day and quickly identified the source of the leak. He was able to cover it in plastic so no more water could get in until he was able to come back and do the repair. When he was back the following week I had found another leak. He was able to fix the first leak and we scheduled him to come back and replace all the vents on my roof as they were causing the problems. He also removed the tile and replaced the paper in all the valleys at the same time as well as replacing cracked tiles. My roof is now in great shape thanks to Geronimo. read more

I have never review anything anywhere on the net. But for this roofing company, I am going to spend a little time here for the first time just to show my appreciation of the professional quality that they gave me on the new roof of my 4 unit apartment with a very reasonable price. My old roof had 3 to 4 layers of old roofing materials on it. Over time it's start leaking beyond repair without taking all those old materials out. This company has their own big hauling trailer. My building has two levels and it's very tall. They meticulously peel off those layers of old material and bucket by bucket dumped into the trailer below without messing around the surrounding area. Well, the rest of the job like putting up new roof boards, water proof under layer, patch up all potential leaking areas, putting up roofing shingles, installed beautiful galvanized gutters, a new rain proof fire chimney cover which is not even in the contract and on and on. I will not go into any more details. All I can say is, they installed my new roof as if were installing their own home with care and with heart. I know nothing about roofing but these people you can trust. They gave more than what's on the contract. They were refer to me by my coworker and I am strongly recommend them to anyone.
