Review for Diablo Roofing Services Diablo Roofing Services did a very good job on my roof project! The crew started on Monday, 7/28, and finished everything in just four days. The project included removing the old roof, installing a new Presidential Solaris roof, and putting in new gutters and water pipes. The team worked quickly but with great attention to detail, making sure to protect the bushes around the house. At the end of each day, they thoroughly cleaned up all debris so the yard never looked messy. Whenever I had a minor concern, the team responded right away and fixed it without hesitation. That kind of responsiveness made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Overall, I'm very happy with the results and grateful to the entire crew -- and especially Hector -- for their hard work. Rogelio did not perform work for us, my review is solely based on our interaction and experience with him. We had an issue with our roof's gutter system that was spilling over the gutters. We had multiple roofing contractors come out to look at it, so I don't remember the exact conversation with this professional. But from what I remember, he suggested to clean the gutters, valley, and 2 cracked tiles and a sliding tile. Verbal quote was $750 (important for the remaining of the review). At first, we wanted to hire him to help us with this project over the other professionals since he seemed trustworthy. We reached out to ask for a proposal in writing with the scope of work and he seemed to get irritated and his response was, "I will tell you guys multiple times, but if you guys are not comfortable, I understand and just find somebody else". All we wanted was to get the detailed work in writing so we are both protected (since everything was verbal beforehand). Having the detailed work in writing is a reasonable request especially since - On the cslb.ca.gov website, "In California, there must be a written contract for all home improvement projects over $500 in combined labor and materials costs. That contract must include specific information about your rights and responsibilities. In addition, any changes made to that contract must be in writing, be legible, be easy to understand, and inform you of your rights to cancel or rescind the contract. If you are promised something verbally, make sure that it is also included in writing." Since he was planning on fixing 3 of the tiles, I was going to ask if he is going to spot patch the decking if it is damaged. If not, what would he do to fix these 3 tiles? He completely ghosted before I had the chance to ask. Overall, he didn't want to provide anything in writing and didn't want to answer any questions other than "your issue is from lack of roof maintenance". I would proceed with caution if choosing to work with them on your projects as his response (and lack of willingness to provide a proposal or anything in writing) was a huge red flag for us since he got irritated when asked even though it is a California legal requirement for licensed contractors (especially work over $500). In general, didn't seem too friendly with getting our questions answered. As a real estate professional and homeowner who had my fair share of working with and communicating with many contractors and professionals, I haven't had an interaction like this with a licensed contractor before. read more

This contractor keeps deleting their page to dodge bad reviews. Hiring Diablo Roofing Services was the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. They improperly installed the underpayment on my roof, voiding the manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer calls for "plastic cap staples or nails," this contractor refused to use them. (see attached picture) They improperly installed my attic vents and tried to only install 4 when the contract called for 6. They had to tear off the roof they installed and redo all the work. All my gutters leak and I can't get them to call me back. DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR! read more

I asked for an estimate to remove my old shake roof, and replace it with composition shingles, and replace the old gutters- Rogelio came right out, and I had my estimate the next morning. Their prices were very competitive and each staff member was friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. They pulled the required permits, ordered the materials and completed the job in record time- they left my yard clean and neat at the end of each workday. When they had finished they made sure to tell me they stood by their work, and would come out ANYTIME if anything went wrong. Great job on the roof. House is a rental property and the demo crew destroyed a few established shrubs and plants that belonged to the tenants. One understands that a plant or two may be damaged, but an established shrub (4x4x5) should still exist after work is done. When confronted about it, they expressed "it happens". Eventually they agreed to pay for 1/2 of plants destroyed value and we paid the other half. On a 26K job, it seemed absurd. Also they didn't come back to repair a gutter that they said they would repair. 4 stars on roof quality (would have been 5) 3 stars on customer service. read more

Unfortunately, the issue was under my solar panels and that company will have to be called. In the short time I dealt with him and his company, I could tell they were top of the line. I judged my friend at first for calling anyone with that name and I was very hesitant to contact them because of the name and well we are a God fearing home! But I prayed and called them. These guys did a great job. Rogelio came and did the estimate on my roof witch was a re due from a previous roofers job. The previous roofer left all kinds of leaks in my roof. So glad i checked it out before it was too late. I had a whole dispute with this company and ended up getting my money back Diablo roofing did great. With the rain we have had this weekend, We had a gutter that needed to be fixed. I called the number and got connected to someone right away. He just so happened to be passing through my city so he stopped by and fixed our gutter within a few minutes. Very friendly, professional, super fast and reasonable pricing. They are price gouging, they charge double on what local or other roof services would charge. They don't even have a valid license and they charge double compare to someone that has license. I talk to one of them, it sounded like they can't even speak english. Take your business somewhere else, this is a rip off. read more

We were really tardy in getting some dysfunctional gutters fixed. We didn't know if it was a clog or a structural issue. Diablo Roofing came out and gave us a worst case scenario estimate that we'd have to remove all of the gutters. When the crew arrived, they realized the issue was partially a clog but also just a messed up design of the existing gutters. The crew did an on site pivot to do a much less expensive fix, instead of sticking to the more expensive replacement approach cutting the overall costs in half. Also, the Diablo Roofing team showed up on time both for the quote meeting and the day of the work. A great experience start to finish. read more

We had a leak on the ceiling early Saturday morning. Since it was raining the day before we thought the leaking came from the roof. The first company we called was closed for the weekend. Then we called Diablo Roofing Services and Rogelio picked up right away. He was at another job in Napa but agreed to come out to Concord to check our roof in about 1 1/2 hours. He showed up at the promised time and soon identified the leak was not from the roof. He suspected it was a plumbing issue and went on to check the attic directly above the leak. It was indeed from a broken pipe in the attic. He offered to shut off the water and referred someone he knows that does plumbing work. He was thorough, caring and efficient. Despite the trip out to our home on a Saturday, the time he spent checking/investigating which led to an accurate, prompt diagnosis of our problem, he didn't charge us anything!
