My husband and I went into the store the last week in June to purchase a coffee table. They didn't have the table we wanted so we ordered one for delivery in 3-4 weeks. Four weeks past and we called the store for an update and were told that it was set arrive in October. I told the sales person I would never have ordered the table if it was that far out for delivery. The store did some checking and told us even though we came into the store the end of June the table was only ordered the middle of July. They mentioned the table was another two to three weeks out. They offered to refund our money or we could choose to wait. We chose to wait. Finally delivery to the Warrenton store was to happen this past Tuesday 8/18. We went to pick up the table and they gave it to us in the box not assembled. They said we could have them assemble but it would take another day. At this point, I just wanted to be done with Roby's so I took the box. We read the description on the box before we took into our house and it wasn't even the right table. Ugh!!! Back to the store and discovered they had never ordered the right table. what a comedy of errors. Received a refund and left the store never to return again.

I was told the wood I was purchasing was quality wood. That the knots wouldn't be larger than 1 1/2 inches and no knot holes. Probably 30% of the wood had large knots, knot holes, and a lot of split and damaged pieces. We managed to cut around and make all of the boards work except 2 boards. When I went to return the two boards and get a few extra I was "helped" by the rudest person I've probably ever had to deal with. From the moment I walked up to the counter he acted like I was disturbing him. He came out to the pile of boards, pointed at the ones I needed to choose from and then as he walked away said "try not to make a mess!" I have made many purchases from city lumber since I bought my home 10 years ago. I believe I have spent enough here to not be treated like a child. I don't know how this business keeps customers if this is how they treat everyone. I will drive to Portland to buy lumber before I will give this place my business again. City Lumber just lost a customer.

You feel like you can take all the time you want to look at each piece. No one is going to hurry you or disturb you. When Michael noticed how interested we were he gave us an impromptu viewing of some of the additionally exciting work in the flat file upstairs. Just a completely first-rate experience.

I asked him if he had photos proving it was good, which he dodged and closely explained it was amazing, then I asked again which he laughed and said no. I'm not going to buy 50$+ dollars worth of expired film with no proof it's good. Plus, when asked why he doesn't actually sell film he went on a rant why film has gone up and he refuses to sell it which I thought was odd as he advertises it and if sold he technically wouldn't be loosing money. I then asked where I could get it and he said no where and he doubted stores would have it on this part of the coast. I called Walgreens and Walmart nearby who both carried it, which I drove 7 mins down the road and picked up. It was 12$. It disappointed me I couldn't just pick up at the only camera store in Astoria. Weird hill to die on that he wouldn't carry something that's advertised ON HIS SIGN. Dude had hovering energy and followed me out the store ranting.
