We came across this really fun spot in Flagstaff. You can shop for clothes, grab coffee, have some dessert, and even get barbecue. Feels like it's mostly for college students to hang out. When you walk in, there are shops for clothes, coffee, and desserts. Then downstairs, there's the Basement Marketplace with more clothes, accessories, and a BBQ place. We wanted to try the barbecue, but they didn't have beef brisket, so we didn't. Overall, it seems like a cool, lively spot for students to hang out and shop, definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. read more

I'm pretty shocked that Old Town Shops has such a low rating on Yelp. This indoor mall is right up my alley! Old Town Shops is filled with local businesses selling a variety of goods. They host a coffee and plant shop, candy store, and a variety of clothing + gift shops. I stopped by to do some holiday shopping, but struggled since I wanted to purchase everything to keep. I took a lesson from Tom Haverford and treated myself! I bought a lovely black corduroy jacket from a clothing shop and a few small gift items - honey, soap, etc. Thanks to the Old Town Shops I ended up flying home with a suitcase two pounds overweight! This shopping center is located solely indoors, the perfect spot to escape the snow. The shops are spread out through the three-story building, so it takes some time to explore everything. read more

I love this little mall area in Downtown Flag. It's connected to Diablo Burger on the outside and is the perfect little spot to pop in for a coffee at Mix, grab some BBQ lunch, grab some candy, or do a little local shopping. This is a great gift-buying place for local goods. What's I like the best is it's INDOOR and when it's super cold in Flag in the winter, it's a nice little place to find a reprieve from the frigid temps and still get out and walk about. Wooden floor walkways took you to a cafe and chocolate shop. Clean bathrooms to the left of that and then another shop downstairs. Street parking was metered. read more

The various shops are full of a fun and unique variety of items. Prices are on the $$$ side and I would say it's likely due to high amount of tourist in the area. I was however disappointed in the Chocolate shop that was located there. The candy in the jars on the shelf was visibly old. Due to this we advised our kids to pick the packaged candy or the chocolate in the case. The orange chocolate slices were - there is no kind way to say it - bad. The candy apple was also bad. The inside was brown and soggy. I attempted to eat the outside of the apple but the nuts were really not good and the caramel had a smell that I've never smelt before... or maybe it was the apple. Whatever it was, after a single piece I threw it away. I should of stuck with my intuition and said let's go when I saw the sign that said all sales final. I recommend avoiding this chocolate shop and maybe try the fresh goods from the stand near the entrance. 5 stars for the shops, 0 for the chocolate shop... average of a 3. read more

Always fun to stop by here when we leave the heat behind in Gilbert. I'll keep it short. 2 main stops for us...1) The Basement (downstairs next to Bigfoot BBQ) is my daughter's and my shop for clothes and accessories and 2) The Black Hound for chotkies, t-shirts, and funny/punny items. They are a must. We've been to Bigfoot bbq twice and it is delicious. When we get the urge, we will stop by Mix and the chocolate/candy store. We just love the area. read more

The Old Town Shops in Flagstaff are about a dozen independently owned shops and restaurants on the corner of Birch and Leroux Streets in historic downtown Flagstaff. Ok, that description was lifted from the Old Town Shops website, but that pretty much sums it up. When visiting Flagstaff, my girlfriend and I will usually stop in to check out Black Hound Gallery (kind of like Urban Outfitters), get some chocolate, shoot some pool, and grab a bite to eat. She also loves the deals on clothes she can find at the Basement Marketplace. I had some guests in town, so I took them to downtown to shop. The line to get in was long but we waited. One gal had asked if it was worth the wait. I was like "yes, cute stuff". Basement Market Place and Black Hound Gallary. Do not shop there if you are a Trump supporter. You will be escorted out. Disgusting... Don't even deserve a 1 star rating. I originally found this group of shops when I came for Bigfoot BBQ (don't waste your time), but was happy to spend my time before and after my meal browsing- there's a variety of clothing styles represented, as well as a chocolate shop, and a couple of restaurants. Prices for most of the stores and restaurants seem to be pretty fair for the quality, typically on par with mall stores like Forever 21 and Hot Topic. It's a one-stop shop for teens or young adults to spend a few hours eating, browsing, and hanging out, but there isn't too much for adults. Visit the koi pond in the basement before you go. If you are a breeder, keep an eye on your kids. No one seems to know how to navigate the stairs, keep to the right like you do while driving! read more

The tall "security" guard at the entrance is an ass. My family walked in while I was paying the parking meter. When I came up the security guard make some smart ass remarks about my sweatshirt (just a black hoodie, nothing different about it all). I was miffed but I went in. I found my family and first thing: my wife tells me how the security guard was an asshole to them too. We left abruptly. read more

Situated in the heart of downtown Flagstaff; Yelp mobile app led me to this for the BBQ restaurant downstairs. The Old Town Shops had a variety of goodies...from collectibles to women's clothing to chocolates...to restaurants.... Although...I walked through these clothing stores and the clothing was way overpriced and poor in quality. They were stylish but if you give it a close look....might as well spend your money at Nordstrom and get your money's worth. I've shopped in Asia...and i know exactly the range of how much their clothes should sell (95% of their clothes are brand less and from Asia)... I know they need to make profit and pay rent...But i just wonder who puts up with paying way too much for these. That's definitely NOT ME. read more

The Old Town Shops is located in Downtown Flagstaff just off of route 66. This little shopping plaza has a lot of variety and such helpful staff in each store. One of the stores named "Black Hound Galleries" was my personal favorite, with a bunch of funny graphic tees and novelty gifts. There is also a store with local handmade soaps. Besides retail items, the Old Town Shops offered two food options which included Big Foot BBQ, a sandwich shop, and a little chocolate shop for dessert. I ate at Big Foot BBQ and it wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't the worst BBQ out there lol. Overall, this is a fun little hole in the wall to go visit whenever you are in Flagstaff. :) read more

It's nice to have a one stop place for tourist like me who wants to drop in for some souvenirs or gifts, grab a bite, and/or go shopping.
