This is a small friendly veterinary clinic. We originally came here when we adopted a stray kitten two years ago. She had been living in a neighbor's garage and was in rough shape - malnourished, fleas, worms and ear mites. This was the only vet that could see us immediately and I'm so glad we ended up here. They are tremendously kind and compassionate. When the kitten escaped and climbed up inside the car seat (a long story) they came out to help get her out. Loaned us a carrier. Really just have consistently gone above and beyond. We have been clients ever since and would not consider taking our fur babies anywhere else. This visit was for our older cat who had a cut above her eye. Doc had her diagnosed in less than 5 minutes (ear infection and she scratched herself trying to make it feel better) noticed she also had some gum issues, got us all set up with antibiotics and ear drops and we were finished in under half an hour. Perfect when you have to fit a vet visit into your lunch hour. The place is super clean and we've never felt overcharged. Bottom line, if you're looking for a vet that really cares this is where you want to go. read more

This Vet stands out above all the rest. After dealing with Vcu animal hospital and banfield this place was a breath of fresh air . During covid my cat because very sick all of a sudden. She wouldn't eat or drink and was limping . I took her here at the recommendation of a friend and I'm so happy I did. I waited in my car while they took her inside (covid precaution) and after they diagnosed her with an infection, they prescribed medication and sent us on our way. When I asked them if I can pay they said don't worry someone will call you about that later. Wow this is the first vet I've ever been to that wasn't in a crazy hurry to just take my money. When I was given the total I was very much in shock. I think a lot of pet owners are used to astronomical vet bills but this place has very modest fees. I just started taking my sweet Bella to this clinic after relocating from another part of the county. Old Towne Vet is the best vet clinic I've been to in all the years I've been a pet owner. The staff there are friendly, knowledgeable, and they seem to really care about their adorable patients, as well as their patient's owners. The clinic itself is clean, conveniently located in Old Town Manassas, and the decor is lovely. I could see how parking might be an issue depending on the time of day, but I tend to book early morning appointments and haven't had a problem with it at yet. As far as pricing goes, I think it's great. I've paid way more money at other vet clinics. Bella ended up needing surgery and Dr. Martinez did an amazing job. He even followed up the next day with a phone call to see how she was doing. When I had questions about stitches and the results of her biopsy he was super kind and patient and took the time to explain everything to me. I'm grateful and glad to have found Old Towne Vet clinic and hope to be a loyal client for years to come. read more

I lost two senior cats a few years ago to old age, but the experience was very difficult and as a result I'm a bit overprotective of my current kitties- but the staff at Old Towne are thorough and genuine and always incredibly friendly; nobody ever makes me feel like a crazy person for being so concerned about my pets' health. It's easy to see that each member of their team loves animals. This clinic does not overcharge or try to sell extra services that we don't need. Dr. Sam Martinez & staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable. They waived the first office visit which let's is great when you're shopping for a new vet. I've had Reese here for reverse sneezing, teeth cleaning and lymph removals. Some of her stitches didn't come out right away so I scheduled and appt to have that locked at and Dr. Martinez told me as long as it's not red, irritated or swollen not to drive out in traffic, burn money and then drive back for the remaining stitches. We made appointments for both our dogs while they were having a special, both dogs needed a heart worm test, heart worm pills, and my older dog required pain medication for a pulled muscle. Everything was great, the doctor was nice, we paid at the time of service. A few days later someone called my husband from the office and stated they "forgot" to charge us for something. My husband asked to be sent a statement since he already paid in full at the clinic... SIX MONTHS LATER I received a bill (in my email) for over 80 dollars, which is what they "forgot" to charge us. Terrific experience! Dr. Martinez is knowledgeable, helpful, and very friendly. I have a 13 year old dog with arthritis and mobility issues. Dr. Martinez walked me through various plans designed to keep him comfortable. It was obvious that he was concerned with my dog's welfare, rather than ordering numerous tests, that are not useful when dealing with a senior animal. I felt very happy with the options that Dr. Martinez suggested, and definitely trust his evaluation. (Not pertinent to his medical care - but he also asked my kids numerous questions and even provided some life lessons when they began to fight. I really appreciated that he engaged the whole family!) Virginia at the front desk is fabulous! She was very welcoming, funny, and made us feel like we've been patients for a long time. She also did a fantastic job decorating the office - it is bright and modern, with cute and quirky animal paintings displayed in all rooms. We're very happy to join this practice! read more

Our cat is our baby. When we we tried to schedule an appointment at a corporate vet clinic for a suspected UTI, the soonest we could get an appointment was 5 days later. Needless to say, we didn't take our baby there, and I am so glad that we didn't. Dr. Martinez at the Old Towne Vet Clinic is amazing. He spent the time with us explaining what he suspected what was wrong. He called the next day to personally check on our cat. He and his vet tech were kind, professional, and helpful. Not only was the receptionist extremely sympathetic on the phone, the vet and assistant were professional, concerned, intelligent, and empathetic during the entire experience for both Sasha (cat) and me. Dr. Martinez and his staff saw our digs on an emergency basis when even the local "24 hr emergency vet" could not help our dogs. We know part of it was just good timing, but then we met Dr. Martinez. He was obviously compassionate, took his time with our wounded dogs (after a fight) and also took his time with us so we understood everything he needed to do. It is small clinic so the care for your pet is very personalized. No long waiting times, no short impersonal visits, no doubts.
