OMG. How come I didn't know about place ? This place is amazing!!! I can't believe we have this kind of winery in MD. I went there for my friend's birthday and was so surprised how nice it is. Servers were amazing and made us feel so special. Their food is prepared so freshly and wines were delicious. A definitely perfect place to celebrate special occasions. You always have to make a reservation and I recommend booking one of the cabin. It's so cozy. Can't wait to go back !!!

My friend rented a patio cabana. If you are a wine club member, you can get this for free. Our server Jenni was attentive and fun. We each had a Fav Wine Flights which was great to try a few different wines. We all shared a Caesar salad, and the Pepperoni and hot honey and prosciutto and pesto pizzas. They were both great but I liked the Pepperoni and Hot Honey more. I really liked the Trio wine - it's not a traditional Chardonnay based wine. We also really liked the crème brûlée! It's a beautiful venue.

We visited here with another couple on a recent weekend. Def need a reservation - so be sure to make one. Very happy with the wines and the service (Brook did our tasting and she's super-knowledgeable). Our friends (who live nearby) joined the club, and we all look forward to getting back.

I wished I could remember the name of our adorable server. From start to finish, she was so attentive and accommodating. She started us off with a glass of their "You are My Sunshine" sparkling rose, which was fantastic. We rented a table on the porch. We had beautiful views of the grounds, very open and breezy. Ordered their Hummus Plate and Margherita Pizza. 10 out of 10. Had a glass of their Cab Franc (which was only supposed to be for members). WOW. We will be back.

Loved the ambience even though it was a rainy day. Celebrated my bday and then witnessed a wedding proposal. The staff was attentive and friendly. I am looking forward to returning on a sunny day.

Love this venue! Went here during February. We reserved one of the 7-12 greenhouses and our event went so well. The greenhouse has good natural lighting. The pizzas were tasty too. Good heating, even a fan for the summer. Be careful of the heating element because we burned one of our balloons that touched. Muddy on the parking lot in February after a few weeks of snow and rain so dress appropriately and wear the right shoes. Highly recommended!

This place is truly phenomenal. The greenhouse cabana is a must! The greenhouse is $65 for 2-4 guest. It's well worth it. Beautiful intimate experience. And prefect for a date night. The food menu is limited but it's delicious. The hot honey pepperoni pizza was amazing. And the Caesar salad was tasty. I really enjoyed the charcuterie board. Our server was very attentive. She gave us a sample of wine.

I came here with some friends for brunch, and we rented one of the private cabanas. They have heaters as well, so the cabanas can be rented year round. The food here is farm to table and the ingredients are sourced locally, and the everything tasted fresh. Our server was friendly and she greeted us with welcome drinks, which I thought was a nice touch. They don't have many cocktails, but the one that I ordered was tasty. My friends enjoyed their wine flights as well. Overall, this was an amazing experience and I highly recommend checking this winery out.

An adorable winery with fantastic selections for every palette, good food, and friendly service. We celebrated a birthday at Old Westminster in the small house rentals. Inside, they've thought of everything: blankets, heaters, fans, and a little speaker you can connect to. Jen was our waitress and she made it fun, gave out great recommendations for the women new to wine, and just made it a fun experience. The food was good and the wine selection was awesome. I don't love that the dry red tasting is only available to members but understand it makes a good business model. The petit Verdot was excellent! This is a great spot for a girls night or a romantic date night! I highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed girls day! We tasted wine, ate pizza and talked in a beautiful environment. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful. We sat in the patio, which is open but we were nice and cozy under the heater and they provided blankets. I would definitely recommend checking them out

Enjoyed a girl's day out at this lovely winery in the DMV area. Come with me to Old Westminister Winery in the DMV REVIEW: DRIVE 7/10 SCENARY: 10/10 WINE: 8/10 FOOD: 6.5/10 (limited options) The service was good; they catered to our large group. Sitting outside and taking in the beautifu landscapes while painting and sipping wine was the best. Very relaxing environment. Shout out to Ainsley for superb service! Enjoyed our girls holiday lunch in a private heated hut. Roasted carrots were the stand out!

Such a fun place to get wine and good food. We were able to reserve a spot at the private cabanas and it is so lovely. We went when it was pouring rain, but the cabana was still warm and did a good job of keeping the rain out of our cabana. The food here is farm table so the food is super fresh and flavorful. You can even see them making your pizza through a glass window. We got the flights and were able to try the different wines they had to offer. We dot the cheese and meat board, several pizzas, carrots, and the hummus. The pizzas were really good and had a ton of toppings on them. I can't wait to go back!

The reds were a bit too bold for me however, the Albariño ended up being my favorite by far.

Diane, the lovely owner is so gracious and sweet and was able to handle the flow of oenophiles quite effortlessly. They have the main tasting room and also an adjacent room that could accommodate a group tasting. Diane did a great job of giving us a detailed description of each wine and I was actually pleasantly surprised! I'm not a huge fan of Md wine but truly enjoyed the wines here. I purchased a bottle of the Estate Red and they had a wonderful sangria made with their Chambourcin which I also purchased. I love supporting local and especially such a great vineyard such as this one that is also a working farm. I would encourage anyone to venture out to this vineyard--but actually put the address in your gps and not just the name, you will end up at someone's home. I assume this family are use to people ending up at their home-they have a sign that has the address of the vineyard on it--thank you mystery family!

We were out somewhat in this direction, and there was a Meetup group going here, so we thought to check it out as it's rare we ever go to a winery as it's normally out of the way, more likely of an occurrence when on a vacation. We took some crazy back roads from where we were in western Howard County, through Carroll, & into eastern Frederick County, where Black Ankle is. We went to the bar inside to get wines. I got a white wine; I think Chardonnay, and I think my girlfriend got a sweeter Rose or something like that. Both were delicious, but we preferred our own more. We sat outside in a nice patio area. We were in the hot Sun on that sunny day, but that was cool with me. We learned of a tour going on, which we got in on. The tour guide who wore an Italian flag bowtie was entertaining and informative. We walked around the vineyard, going inside the cooled storage areas, centrifuge area where the wine is mixed, etc. We even saw some of the old wines they had made from years earlier. We saw sheep dogs, which protect the vineyard from pests, which were cute. Overall, this is a high quality winery with plenty of nice outside & inside seating.

Prefer tastings that include 5-6 wines so you have more options to choose from, but since it was my first time visiting they also let me try a pour of their popular red blend, the Preggiatta (base is cabb sauv and cab franc). I enjoyed their gruner veltliner and my favorite was the Syrah Rose (100% Syrah), very refreshing. They had a food truck outside. There's a back patio and a front patio, both very cute and spacious. They have tables inside as well that you can reserve ahead, inside walls/decor was very traditional winery-esque. They also have a little shop inside with merch and snacks, you can order a charcuterie board as well (though it's a small board for $65). You order at the bar inside and can sit wherever outside. Only suggestion is to have a server or two tending to the outside tables. Would definitely come back!

Why haven't I written a review until now is a mystery but, oh well.. Lol This past Weekend, they did something totally different. They had a tribute to 50 years of "go-go" instead of the aforementioned reggae fest. With that said, Rare Essence performed Saturday and the Junk Yard Band did their thing Sunday. Me and my crew grew up on Essence so Saturday we converged. The forecast for severe afternoon t-storms almost made me stay home, but I've been given a lot of flack from my homies for bailing because of weather so I was determined to push through :) I'm glad that I did. It rained STRONG for about an hour in the middle of the festival, but after that, the headliner performed and cranked like it was 1990! Talk about nostalgia.. Omg!! We had a ball! Full disclosure, it was about half the normal size crowd, so I'm not sure Linganore will take that type of money loss in the future, but thanks for the memories.. I definitely needed that!!!
