A Local Distillery up the road from our LoveNest? Awesome. We love bringing our friends in to do tastings on the last Friday of each month! It's $15 for a flight and you get a personalized group tour through each spirit. If it weren't for tasting 6 types of their 94 proof on avg spirits I'm sure I could tell you the names of the guys we had the pleasure of meeting! haha We met the creator of all the fine spirits! He was very laid back and eager to tell us about the processes and flavors he added to his unique creations. Blade Gin was my gateway into being a Gin Lover. I love Blade chilled with a touch of zest of lemon. Another interesting Gin we got to try is his new AGED Gin called Rusty Blade. It's an amber color and tastes like Christmas in a glass! It most certainly warms you from the inside out. I had to shake my head pretty hard to get back to reality after that one. The Absinthe is another wonderful and favored experience. If you're nice they will even let you FAIRIE up your own glass. I love watching my Faeries clouding up the glass. Then that special touch of Lemon Zest again and I'm on Cloud 9. We bought a few bottles this time to give as festive Christmas gifts. Our guests even surprised us with a bottle of Blade (SNEAKY THEY ARE!!) that night when we got back to our place. Apparently I had raved enough about it that they just knew it would make a great host gift as Thankyou for their stay with us over the Holiday weekend. We love going here and will certainly return again over and over. I've never stopped in on a Saturday, but I just might have to check it out. Perhaps the VIP service I already feel like we get there when it's crowded might just put the experience right over the top? Old World Spirits can enter my temple anytime...

I love trying Distillery's as they are creating great new spirits. Per the website for Old World Spirits you had to make a reservation and pay $16 a per person for a tour and tasting. We arrived a little early for our "tour". There was a large group of people there for a tasting so we were told to join the current group. There was no tour, just a tasting. John (I believe that was his name) was a bit overwhelmed with the large group of people. He was there by himself. He was great with our group and answered our questions about the different spirits we tried. The gin was decent (I enjoy Bourbon/Whiskey more but enjoyed trying the absinthe. The tasting area is pretty small so can't hold too many people all at once. Met some nice people while tasting. Not sure about paying $16 to taste since there was no tour but John did a great job with dealing with our group and another large group that was coming in after us.

    r. The clear is still good though, especially if you aren't a fan of the strong herbal flavor usually found in absinth

One of my favorite things about this winery is the table-side tasting experience, it feels so much more relaxed and elevated compared to the traditional tasting bar setup. You can truly sit back, take your time, and enjoy the wines at your own pace. The wines themselves are fantastic, and I appreciate the variety they offer. It's clear there's a lot of care and quality behind every pour. I also love that they have food available, which makes it easy to turn a tasting into a full experience. Their patio is another huge plus--spacious, inviting, and dog-friendly, which is perfect for me. Bringing my dog, Chanel along makes the experience even better. On top of all that, the service is always warm, attentive, and welcoming. You really feel taken care of here. If you're looking for a great local winery with amazing wine, a relaxed atmosphere, and thoughtful service, Domenico Winery is a gem. Highly recommend!

I don't mind restaurants charging premium prices during holidays, especially if they enhance the experience with add-ons, but what this restaurant did is straight-up robbery. There was no special acknowledgment for moms (like a flower, a card, or even a simple greeting). Just a surprise limited Mother's Day brunch menu for $59/pp that included bakery bites, a choice of entree, and mini sweet bites, with "no substitutions allowed", which my hubby didn't know about. Drinks were not included in this offer, not even coffee. Since we had driven for over 30 minutes, we decided to give it a go. We started with two coffees, which were delicious and pretty much the highlight of our meal. Unfortunately, they don't carry any non-dairy creamers, which is a bit unusual nowadays, especially for brunch places, but we made it work. Our server kept our Lavazza coffees refilled, which was much appreciated. Now let's break down what you actually get for $59: -Bakery bites (3/5): Small baked items randomly thrown on a plate. Other tables received their baked goods with some special butter, which we didn't get and sadly didn't notice until later in the meal. The bamboloni were excellent, but the potato croquette was severely underseasoned and needed a ton of salt; everything else was mid. Not the greatest start, but ok. -Half Bourbon chicken (2/5): My dish was barely lukewarm--no melty provolone cheese-pull, no crispy skin. The white meat was ok, but as soon as I got to the drum part and I saw hot pink, that was the end for me. -Eggs Benedict (3/5): If there is barely any Hollandaise sauce, can you still call this Eggs Benedict? Take a look at the photos and tell me what you think. This wasn't the only ingredient they skimped on. The amount of Canadian bacon on one of the muffins was pathetic (covering only half of the muffin). This dish was also not hot by any means. But because the egg was cooked well, the added spinach was nice, and the potatoes were crispy, we let it slide. - Mini sweet bites (2/5): When this dish arrived, we both almost burst out laughing because of the presentation. It looked like someone had cut themselves and bled all over the plate while cutting the world's tiniest cake slices. Both the chocolate cake and cheese cakes were so thinly sliced (not even half an inch thick) that they couldn't stand. This was supposed to be for two (!) people, but one of us could have easily eaten everything on the plate and would have still been hungry. We left this restaurant feeling ripped off. According to their website, the chicken is $29, and the Eggs Benedict are $19. That means the 5 small pasties and the fractional cake slices cost $30 and $40, respectively. This isn't a reasonable markup. It's greed and total disregard for your customers. If that's how you run your business, no thank you. We will not be back.
