The 2023 in oak was MUCH better. 2024 Lucy's Rosé of Pinot Noir 2022 Hidden Block Pinot Noir 2016 Hidden Block Pinot Noir Not surprisingly, 2016 had the most complexity. Rosé is decent, if that's your thing. The grounds are scenic and the facility was modern and clean. The people working here are very nice but it gets busy so there were sometimes uncomfortably long gaps between pours. read more

Everything was amazing!!! The ambiance is gorgeous. You have Beautiful view of the vineyards and a little path to walk on. Our server, Mike, was out of this world amazing! He was very knowledgeable about the wines and made us feel very welcomed. We ordered the cheese plate for 2 and it was more than satisfactory. Everything was delicious and paired beautifully with these wines. Highly recommend visiting this lovely tasting room if you're in the area. We became wine club members! I loved this place and our visit there. We did a flight tasting and each wine we tried was good in its own way. Wouldn't throw a single one out. Also, we had just missed March 'mushroom madness' but still got to try a little bit of the mushroom pate! Tina really made the experience a special one. She was able to fit us in and was great to chat with the entire time. We learned about many things that day - Home Depot, corked wine, Portola Valley laws... The space itself was nice and chill (one speaker inside for music -- the laws, remember?) especially because it was dumping rain that day. I'll have to go back when it's sunny for sure! read more

Very nice coastal Chardonnays and Pinots for the stellar Santa Cruz Mountains AVA, one of the oldest wine-growing regions in the state. The Neely tasting room just opened this month, and it is well worth a visit. Excellent wines, very nice and knowledgeable people (still family owned) and a lovely spot - just sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the view over the vines. Beautifully crafted wines without driving up to wine country! We love cool climate, subtly expressive pinot noir and chardonnay. We were so excited that Neely opened its Portola Valley tasting room last spring. They make exquisite wines that showcase their family vineyard location, with parcels at increasing elevations as you head up the ridge towards Skyline. The tasting room overlooks the vines and is small and intimate. There is a good chance you'll meet both members of the Neely family and their wonderful hospitality team on your visit. You'll want to spend time to savor the wines and get to know them and the place. It's really special. read more

Ambiance is everything. We were there on a Saturday before New Year's . Isabel was the young woman who introduced us to 5/6 wines. Her knowledge and pacing was right on point. Of the food that accompanied the wines the triple Brie was the best. We liked all of the wines but the Pinot Noirs were their best. Neely Wine is a gem tucked into a gorgeous pocket of Portola Valley, one usually seen only from the road. Enter this property and you are struck by how you never want to leave. It's that beautiful. And their delicious wines - several Chardonnays and Pinots, a very nice Rose - are enhanced by the knowledge of Tina, your host, who can tell you as much as you want to know about the history of the property, the vines, the various root stocks and grafting that went into the unique tastes, in short, the entire wine-making process. She is extremely knowledgeable but never dull. Lively and fun, she also is willing to just serve you and back away. She's available if you're interested, but attuned to the needs of some groups to just taste, eat, and chat among themselves...Highly recommend Neely Wine for an afternoon adventure with friends. read more
