The food wasn't as good as it looked. Service was mediocre. Downtown atmosphere was good. I probably wouldn't return.

If you dont look above 10ft its an Irish pub in the middle of Minnesota (tall open building). The food is great, Irish and more American faire. The spicy pretzel mustard and cheese is a great take back to your room for late night snack. The staff was friendly and nice. Overall, just a great experience. read more

The service is always very consistent and the food is very good. One of my favorites is the salmon dinner. read more

Wow! This place was packed when we arrived, so we sat at the bar. The service was a little slow, but not surprising since they were so busy. Bottom line, don't come here if you are in a rush. The food was great. Smashed peas, epic. Creamed cabbage was also delicious. I was skeptical to try meatloaf at a restaurant, but was not disappointed. My husband had the shrimp scampi and was also very pleased. We will definitely be eating here again. Also, my husband said their amaretto sours are the best he has had. read more

They have, not only, a great happy hour and menu to support it, but a fairly large and widely appealing regular lunch and dinner menu to choose from. We got there just before the 3pm happy hour start and were seated at a high table off the back bar. Jas was our server and bartender as well. She is awesome! The poutine was extremely addicting and flavorful ... fantastic with any beverage. This is an Irish pub as well as restaurant, so all the Irish liquor, beer, ale, and cider you can imagine. The Rueben rolls are very good, but could definitely use more filling to balance out large amount of wrap encasing them. The chicken fajita was HUGE and extremely flavorful. Fantastic salad! The fish was moist and plentiful portions, both broiled and fried. I definitely recommend as a staple go-to. I highly recommend the food and atmosphere for a definite stop when in the area! read more

Went for Thursday's half price whisky offer but no one told us those have black dot signs in the list were exclusive of the offer. Messed up my burger order but gave a discount of 5. Food was okay, though. read more

2 stars for service, 5 for food, so this is an average. I inquired about the Rhubarb Sour and the answer was "It's a sour." Oh really? And there's rhubarb in it? I was grudgingly told it had whiskey as apparently all sours are. Except they're not. Pisco sour anyone? My sister and I ordered a salad apiece and a Reuben to split. They delivered one Reuben and one salad. Eventually delivered a second salad after we explained. We were never asked if we wanted another beverage or more water. Waited a long time to get the check and dirty dishes were never cleared. Asked for 1 check and got 3. Too bad because the menu is awesome! read more

I just had the Nashville Mac and Cheese and it was TO DIE FOR! I had it delivered to my hotel room so I have no comments on service. The dish was still warm and it was very creamy not dry like sometimes Mac and cheese dishes are. Outstanding blend of cheeses. The fried chicken bites were VERY tender and just the right level of spicy. Great flavor overall. I'm a salt-o-Holic...so while I appreciated that salt was included without even asking... I used none. It was perfect as is!! I highly recommend this comfort food dish!! Oh and it came with a generous hunk of ciabatta bread and the good butter. Carb overload... but oh so good!! read more

First time dining -- awesome experience. Our server Pierre bent over backwards to make us happy -- large party of 10. Kept the glasses full and very accommodating to our requests. I had the Celtic Meatloaf! Amazing! 5 stars! As a good Minnesota Irishman, I loved the decor, ambiance and music. Will come back! read more

Just wonderful as usual. The staff is so friendly. The bar is excellent and has all sorts of things that are hard to find. The food is authentic and delicious. Best restaurant in Rochester hands down! read more

This place is awesome! Justin, the chef, was bartending when we were there sitting at the bar. So informative on the dishes and recommendations. Jaz was also behind the bar. We had a great time and the food was great. Justin recommended the scotch eggs which we had never eaten and I had Rueben rolls. Irish coffee and crème brûlée were great. We'll be back for stew and chowder! read more

We really like Olde Brick House. While we have enjoyed a few different options on the menu, the pecan encrusted salmon is so good I doubt we will ever get past that again and try much else. read more

I ordered the Chicken Connemara for takeout since I'm staying in a nearby hotel, and I am so impressed! Food was ready within 20 minutes. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing- I'm a huge fan of the smashed peas! It was so good, I'm already planning to go back and dine-in during my stay here just so I can try more items off the menu. Highly recommend! read more

food is ok, love the ruben. Service sucks, we were busy there friday for happy hour to celebrate. Sat at the bar and waitress was smug, not cheerful and we waited and waited for HER to check on us. She was just tooooo busy to check. If someone cant be pleasant, and ignores you with a sour face, they are in the wrong job. This happened sept 30th, afternoon. read more

Shepherds pie is delicious. Loved the mussels on the lynch menu as well as the shepherds pie poutine. Bruschetta was also fantastic. Cocktails are mixed correctly with no shortcuts. Highly recommended read more

Good food. Great atmosphere. Music was too loud. The Bloody Mary came topped with a spear of an entire warm bratwurst, kosher pickle, blue cheese stuffed olive, and one more olive with no pimento. It was a little spicy, but had great flavor. The service was mediocre. Our server forgot many things that we requested, but made up for it with personality and humor. I would go back... read more

It is a wonderful place to eat. Service pleasant and fast. Good the best. Love the seafood chowder

Awesome place. Even as good as this place is, it's still underrated. Have been to Brick House multiple times and tried multiple dishes. They're right up there with the best places in town. Great atmosphere for a fun place with friends, family night out or a date night. read more

Amazing atmosphere, great food. Had a wonderful meal, excellent service and cocktails

I stopped in because it was recommended by the taxi driver and I love Irish Pubs. It is beautifully put together, the staff were great and friendly and the food, it was excellent. I had the Scotch Egg on Tuesday and felt so comfortable there, I went back on Wednesday and had the Rueben Wonton Rolls! Delicious. I even purchased a zip up sweatshirt. read more

Was there for the first time earlier tonight. Loved the environment. Loved the different paint colors on every wall, and ceiling; they all worked together perfectly. The sangria was absolutely delicious! The scotch eggs were nice and crispy on the outside but the inside yolk of the egg was cooked soft instead of hard like whistle binkies which made it so much more delicious and easier to eat. The guinness gravy is packed full of flavor, so rich and thick and delicious. Loved the grilled bangers. I even liked the creamed cabbage. The smashed peas were so absolutely friggen delicious I should have gotten an extra side of them!! I can't wait to come back! Now the couple minuses while I was there. I watched the bartender move sliced pickles from one holding compartment to another with bare hands and also watched the same guy get the fancy square ice cubes to make a couple drinks with his bare hands. read more

We had a nice happy hour evening here. We weren't very hungry and thought we were going to have to split something from the main menu. But the drink menu has a lighter bar menu snack....the small fish & chips and small bangers and mash were perfect for our situation. We had a table outdoors and omg the food was so good! And the smaller bar menu servings were perfect if you aren't that hungry. Beer and seltzer were perfect and the wait staff was attentive and friendly. Very nice experience for us!! read more

Great Irish pub ambiance! Food and service were wonderful also. Seafood Chowder was so good! My husband had the Guinness Beef Stew and loved that it had beef, carrots and mushrooms--no potatoes. We had the meatloaf for our entree very tasty as well. We'll be back! read more

When I try to imagine an old Irish pub this place come to mind. My first time here. Everything about this place was excellent. The bar is as authentic as you'll find. The menu covered all the bases from bangers to Irish stew to fish and chips. I personally had the bangers and they were delicious. They have several varieties of draft beer along with an extensive liquor selection. The beer was cold and served with enthusiasm. I really like both. The bread pudding was a nice way to finish the evening. Neighborhood parking is plentiful and easy. If you're in the neighborhood please give this place a try. read more

Tried for first time today, their 3rd day after opening. Everything is take-out only (due to COVID) so we took away Guinness Fish and Chips. Had popped a baking sheet in the oven before we left to pick up, and then heated the F&C for about 5 minutes after arriving home. Verdict? - very good! Hubby has been on a search for good F&C all over town, to no avail. But this was great - big meaty portions of cod and nice "pub chips" and a slaw, alongside. Nice job - well be back! read more

Wonderful food in a wonderful setting! The Shepard's Pie was fantastic, and so was my friend's "Dick Titus Commercial" (Shaved ribeye and Swiss cheese layered between grilled sourdough.). We split the bread pudding for dessert. Between the food, the decor, the Guinness, and the Celtic music playing in the background, we felt like we were visiting the Emerald Isle. read more

Highly recommend this charming Irish Pub. It is connected to Mayo Clinic by way of the subway system, but they also have street access.. The atmosphere was wonderful with lots of stained glass. I had the Dick Titus Commercial, which was a grilled steak sandwich served over mashed potatoes and topped with rich brown beef gravy. It was recommended by the waitress, and it was delicious! They had an extensive bar but I stuck with a soft drink. read more

Unplanned stop based on location, Yelp recommendation and ended up being a great choice. Staff very accommodating, especially since unplanned stop valentine night (no reservations taken). Got the blackened mahi mahi that was superb. Wonderful sauce over bed of rice with a unusual but pleasant addition of sliced strawberries. Great variety of wines and craft beers. Nice atmosphere, just a bit tricky getting there due to street construction. read more
