Just what we needed after and before appointments at Mayo today. We were greeted promptly and taken to a nice table but I believe we probably could have asked to sit anywhere today. Server was very positive and friendly. Food was fine and came out hot from the kitchen. A nice lunch place in Rochester and very handy to the clinics.

Fixtures thick with dust. Not a great angle to really show it (I was trying to be discrete!!).

Went for dinner for our anniversary last evening (Sunday). This was our 3rd time here, the previous probably over 1 year ago, and was shocked by how downhill it has gone. First, the young woman who greeted us seemed to want to shuffle us off to bar seating, despite multiple open tables in the main dining, and a couple open tables outdoors (waiting to be bussed when we arrived and still dirty when we left). She was short with us and seemed to rush not only us but with the vantage point we had once seated, literally everyone else who came in. The restaurant was dirty. Dust all over the fixtures, streaks on the glass so bad that they were nearly opaque-- sad, given the beauty in this historic building and gorgeous wooden bar. The waitress was plenty enough, but forgot to bring my salad. When I spoke up as my husband's soup came, it was delivered to the table several minutes later, just as our main entrees arrived. The food itself was still pretty good-- garden side salad was good, the chicken piccata was tasty (very rich) , and husband enjoyed the Dick Titus Commercial sandwich. Hopefully they' turn things around-- this used to be a great place, and certainly a good location.

Visiting for a wedding. This was near our hotel. The lunch special of "pick 2" between soup, salad, and sandwich was perfect. The crispy chicken wrap was simple but good. The Caesar salad was more of a Caesar/cobb combo. The spinach and artichoke dip appetizer was perfectly cheesy. Our waitress was a little absent minded but very sweet Would come again to maybe try the burger

What a beautiful venue with authentic music and food! A T M O S P H E R E The decor, the seating, the music...just everything. The ambient lighting creates an atmosphere that is warm and the music makes everything feel so lively. Just a perfect combo to go with great food! S E R V I C E Our server was phenomenal! Not only did she make recommendations when we ordered, she consistently made sure we had everything we needed, and even encouraged us stay after we had paid to enjoy a fresh warm cup of coffee! So inviting and courteous!! F O O D My Dad had the Celtic Meatloaf and I had the Broiled Fish Tacos with the Guinness Stew. Everything tasted great and was cooked to perfection! 10/10 recommend coming here for lunch or dinner!

Celtic Meatloaf. Potatoes topped with meatloaf. Creamed cabbage and onion straws on top of that. Smashed peas (soooo good) on the side.

Wow. The Celtic meatloaf. The seafood chowder. This is some of the best food we have found in Rochester. This was amazing. Service was exceptional. Ambiance? Perfect. Overall this was a lovely experience. We will be back.

Cool space with an Irish Pub vibe. Josh behind the bar poured a perfect pint of Guinness and was very pleasant and attentive. I had the fish and chips. Again, it was perfect. The chips were crisp on the outside and tender inside. The fish was breaded to perfection and very tasty. The slaw was a delicious blend of sweet dressing and crunchy veggies. Grape tested. Grape approved.

Stuffed Salmon on citrus risotto with asparagus

Six of us had an enjoyable dinner here. The Shepherd's Pie was excellent. The Brickhouse Pasta also very good. My stuffed salmon was good, but a bit overcooked and dry. The risotto under it would have been excellent with a more subtle citrus flavor. Our server, Nicole, did well handling a very busy night!

Went there twice, got the pretzels both times, love the food there! The service was great, we got our food very quick. This place really felt like an Irish pub, the booths were nice and the decorations were great! This place is connected by stairs+ an elevator to the Mayo Clinic, so it was very convenient to go to if you wanted a bite to eat between appointments!

Bathrooms available, right off the subway. Not much parking, perhaps a parking deck nearby? I walked here so I am unsure. So I have it 4 stars because everyone i was with loved their meals. I wasn't a fan of mine. Over salted, and wilted tasting Mediterranean pasta (gluten free) now it was gf but it was not good pasta. Undercooked and gummy. The chicken it came with was good but it came about 10 minutes after I got my pasta. So that was not great. Our server was sweet but I was a bit upset that I had to wait so long for them to grill up some chicken. My friends got the stew, shepherds pie and corned beef and cabbage. They all seemed to enjoy their meals. The stew was thick and the broth was like gravy thick. He says he was amazing. The portions looked plenty big. So don't get what I got because it won't be served together, it will be undercooked, and poorly seasoned(by this I mean over seasoned)

Looking for a fun, casual dining spot with lots of gluten-free options? This is it! Really big GF menu and everything we tried was great. The service was really fast, so we were able to eat with enough time to get to our show. Would absolutely recommend.

I've eaten here in the distant past. It is as good now as it was then…read more The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The food is also quick. The food includes the Irish stuff you would expect, and in the past they've been great. Think fish & chips, Shepards pie (actually cottage). My friend and I had sandwiches this visit and they were great. The menu says you get chips. What you get is a generous portion of deep fried potato rounds, just a little thick. Some crunchy and some a little soft. The dill pickle... not my favorite but that's my take. Do Not skip the appetizer. The mushrooms are amazing. They are roasted or braised, and they are delicious. There are Irish beers here including Guinness, Harp, etc. or if you prefer something else there's a full bar.

I was delighted they had it on the menu. One lady was the bartender, order taker, waitress and even bused all the tables. This is the Midwest work ethic I was raised with! She did a great job all the while maintaining a smile and good humor with the customers. Every table including the bar was filled and everybody left happy, including us. My friend had a Ruben sandwich w/ coleslaw and I had the deep fried Walleye sandwich with chips. It got real quiet while we were eating which is a good sign the food was good. The accompanying potato chips were fabulous! Never had fries done this way. They are thin like a chip but actually fried potato medallions. Definitely will come back when in the area again.

Went here to celebrate my anniversary with my wife. The food was delectable. Our favorite star of…read morethe show was the Duck Drummies, the sauce paired well with the meat. Just wanted a bit more sauce. The salmon was cooked well with a crispy skin underneath. Flavors played together nicely with the textures. We enjoyed the dessert as the textures (there's a theme here) had great interplay with the flavors in the dish. Only wish that pastry was hot. The ambience is nice and chill. It can feel a bit cramped but gives kinda a speakeasy vibe meets hipster. Note that finding parking is a bit challenging here. There are two booths on the window that would make excellent date spots. The reason for the rating is due to the service. I made a reservation for the spot and made reference to it being our anniversary. However, nothing was done to reference the reason for the dinner. I had never been there and didn't know about the booth availability. The place was busy but we didn't get much attention (menus were left on the table, didn't get small plates to eat the Drummies properly, got one refill of water toward the end, etc). I felt bad about this rating because I've read people enjoying the experience. However, this is what I experienced. The food is great. Service could be better.

So happy we tried this spot while in Rochester!…read more Quaint, friendly, with a great menu! I can't say enough about Bleu Duck Kitchen. We sat at the bar for dinner and enjoyed every minute of our time there. Great drink menu and the cocktails are amazing! The Bleu Duck Old Fashioned was very good. Started out with the Hawaiian rolls and I recommend you do the same....SO GOOD! I ordered the duck for my meal and really enjoyed it. Cooked perfectly and the sauce was fantastic. Looks like they change the recipe throughout the seasons. Save room for dessert. We ordered the fresh baked cookies. Thats right, fresh baked cookies. Baked when you ordered them. Loved it! So happy with our visit to Bleu Duck. We will be back on our next trip to Rochester.

Continually amazing!…read more We stopped in here the other night for the tried and true fish and chips. O'Brien's Public House always has some of the best fish... however you like it. My husband got the fish tacos for the first time and loved them.. It was a really healthy portion and even had some leftovers. I stuck with my favorite, the cod & chips, these are always amazing! However today has caused me to give O'Brien's one star and believe me if it were possible I'd give them -1. I was supposed to meet six of my friends here today for St Patrick's Day. Our car got struck and we did not arrive until 1 1/2 hours late. We were so late that we would have just had a drink had we known there was a time limit on the table BUT our waitress, Addison 8, did not mention this and took our meal order leisurely. Just after we were served she announced to the table that we all had to leave in 15 minutes. I said I assumed it did not apply to us as we had not even started to eat. she told us it applied to all of us. She told us if I was not happy about this I could speak to the Manager. I told her I would like to. then she said I could speak to her instead but I told her I wanted to speak to the Manager. No Manager ever materialized. I probably will never go to this restaurant again. I know times are tough and I don't object to time limits on tables BUT if a customer is very late the least a server should do is let them know there is a very limited time left for them to eat BEFORE they order $70 worth of food and drinks. I will be sure to mention this matter to my friends and as I have stated i will make sure I give my other regular restaurants the business I gave O'Briens. '
