Another day I may focus on strength training, core work, boxing, stretching, or recovery. There are machines and training areas for every fitness level and every goal imaginable. Treadmills, weights, functional fitness spaces, recovery tools, massage chairs, stretching equipment, steam rooms, hot tubs, infrared saunas, traditional saunas, cold recovery spaces, and more. It's a really big tennis facility so if you're in to racket sports, this is the place for you. I still have my LT membership and that being said the locker rooms need an update. Integrating to a system that allows me to schedule tennis, massages etc as well as scan into the club would make things more convenient. I don't have traditional car keys so having to carry a single tiny card with me can be a bit frustrating. They are contract based - 1 year minimum but there is definitely value if you live or work in the area.

While using the women's locker room/rejuvenation area at Life Time Fitness Buckhead, I was completely naked when a male contractor entered the space. I was fully exposed. There was no warning given to me that allowed time to dress, cover myself, or leave the area. No announcement reached me. No safeguard protected me. Whatever policies Life Time claims to have, they failed in real time -- because the result was my total exposure. What happened next was just as disturbing. Instead of taking accountability, management focused on defending "procedure." I was essentially told that everything was done properly -- despite the fact that I was left naked in front of a man. That alone tells me this situation was not taken seriously. Then, the next day, someone attempted to break into my home and sexually assault me. I am stating this plainly because context matters. At this point, it is unknown whether there is any connection between these events. That uncertainty is exactly why this should have been handled with urgency, care, and seriousness. Instead, my concerns were minimized, and I was left feeling unsafe -- not only as a member, but as a woman. I should not have had to escalate this. I should not have had to involve corporate or law enforcement just to be heard. A gym locker room is supposed to be one of the most protected private spaces. Life Time Buckhead failed to protect mine, and then failed again by dismissing the impact. Privacy is not a "process." Safety is not a script. Dignity is not negotiable. Based on my experience, Life Time Buckhead did not uphold any of these. Mike the GM is a sorry somebody.

If you come 3 times per week each month, then the cost of unlimited play per day is about $10, which is a steal compared to other rates around the country. The real emphasis of Ace Pickleball Club is open play so you can't reserve courts at night or on weekends, which means you can often play nonstop for hours on end unlike at tennis clubs or other facilities. The level of play (beginner, intermediate, advanced) is entirely up to you and the courts provide signage to help guide you. Lastly, the staff at Ace Pickleball Club are always SUPER friendly and willing to go out of their way to help you. Other perks of being a member include free social mixers, clinics, paddle demos, ball machine rentals, glow-in-the-dark nights, and entry into the APC Member Championship Series w/ a $250K prize pool. TL;DR - Ace Pickleball Club is the absolute BEST place for every day pickleball play in Atlanta if not the ENTIRE country. I had an unbelievably hostile and unprofessional experience at Center Ice Arena during what was…read moresupposed to be a fun, recreational Adult Learn to Skate class. My friend and I registered to take Adult 3 together. My friend already knows how to skate and was completely willing to be evaluated. Learn to Skate USA's published Adult curriculum specifically states: "Based on prior skating experience, adults may choose to begin at the level that best matches their skill base." When Michelle McIntosh 'Jackie' refused to allow my friend to participate, I pulled up the published policy on my phone and showed it to her. Rather than simply reviewing the policy or evaluating my friend's skating ability, Jackie became increasingly argumentative and hostile and told me, "Wow, you just want to get your way." When I tried to de-escalate the situation and pointed out that this was a recreational adult skating class and really was not that serious, Jackie responded, "It is that serious," and continued making my friend feel extremely uncomfortable. Again, my friend was standing there perfectly willing to be evaluated. During the interaction, Jackie also inexplicably asked me, "Is that your wife?" referring to my friend. The question had absolutely nothing to do with the issue being discussed and, given her demeanor and the context in which it was said, came across as another unnecessary personal remark. Her behavior became hostile enough that I no longer felt comfortable or safe remaining at the facility. Jackie then took my skating card and told me she would refund the $228 I had paid. While we were waiting, I said to my friend, "Wow, what a waste," referring to the time and gas we had wasted driving there. Jackie overheard me, became angry again, and announced that she had changed her mind and would no longer refund me. So at that point, Center Ice had my $228, Jackie had taken my skating card, the class had begun without me, and she was refusing the refund she had just offered because she overheard me express frustration to my friend. I ultimately had to dispute the charge with American Express. Jackie expressly identified herself to me as an owner of Center Ice Arena, which makes the behavior even more concerning. I have since filed a formal complaint with Learn to Skate USA regarding Center Ice's administration of its Adult program and the interaction. There were countless reasonable ways to handle placement in a beginner-level recreational adult skating class. Becoming hostile toward two paying customers was not one of them. Extremely disappointing experience. Very unprofessional.
