Honestly waited 20 minutes for a walk around and not be impressed. One of the squash courts had severe damage and all of the equipment was new but not modern. If you like to run they have options. Also If you need another office space. I work in the concourse and many of us have access to their own offices and common offices so i wasn't really a fan of anything i saw. Also there's no incentives for people that work in the concourse. I was hoping for a reason to switch to this gym but every dot they dotted and t they crossed didn't pass for me. I would've preferred more modern units, more benches and definitely more dumbbells. My local Y actually beat them on raw weight and benches. Oh and this gym is actually cheaper in NY. Gym has been bot by lifetime so stay tuned for upgrades, but parts of gym will be cordoned off during upgrades. So it's gonna suck for about a year maybe, then when all the upgrades are done and you finally get to take advantage of an upgraded club, I bet they're going to raise your membership fee! Here's what I'm doing instead: Forum Athletic Club is $15.00 a week or $60 a month. Dynamo Swim Club has awesome swim facilities for a 55 and over pass of $37.00. Concourse Athletic Club - Outdoor pool heater is often broken... - Gyms Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

Dirty! Outdated! Poor management! The gym itself is outdated, however that you can tell on your walk-through. I joined the gym in March, and sometime between April-May they did renovations in the pool and sauna areas. The sauna had a strong chemical odor when they reopened it, and I could not use in for weeks. When the smell finally went away, I found out that they never did a deep clean after the renovation. There is still constriction dust in the sauna all over the walls and the ceiling. You can see it very well in the dry sauna. In the steam room and jacuzzi you can't see it, but I doubt they clean it, so probably it has been a nursery for bacteria and germs all this time. I spoke with Rachel Philips 4 times about it (one of the sales managers at the gym). We even walked down to the sauna and every time she apologized and promised that she will take care of it. I also spoke with Suzanne Cupert who is a general manager of the gym. She also apologized and promised to fix it. Needless to say the sauna still looks like the pictures. Today I was talking to another member of the gym and she told me that she had to clean the sauna window herself to remove the "clean me" that had been written by finger. So if you are looking for a clean gym with good customer service, look somewhere else. read more

Beautiful club! I only had a massage here but I did take the tour to look around at all of the options and they have plenty! Tennis and basketball courts, indoor/outdoor pools, multiple workout areas, classes, full restaurant and bar. Mucho direno but worth it imo. read more

I have been a member here since about March or April 2013. The facilities are clean and very good looking (handsome?) ..along with the really nice locker rooms. It's got anything you could possibly need or want in a gym: indoor/outdoor (heated) pools, basketball court, equipment shop, bar/restaurant (yea!), smoothie/juice area, and of course all the usual other stuff like classes, lots of machines, and even pretty views to outside at Concourse (King and Queen bldgs). The instructors are great (I've been in a few yoga classes, spin, turbo..). The prices seem pretty decent for this level of awesomeness - about $95-100 a month is the basic, I think.. and if you are a consistent gym goer, class taker, it'll definitely balance out. Fancy, modern gym facilities. Concourse has almost all equipments you would like for a decent workout. I have been coming to Concourse for over a year. This was my first gym I started here as a chubby, marlboro red smoking, indie/computer guy, knowing at some level I would be single again and if I was going to be back in the market I'd have to have the physical confidence that only a great body can offer (at that point I was temporarily blinded to the fact that confidence and security don't have to come from the size of your bicep or the car your driving - they could come just from merely knowing who you are and what you want, and not letting life get to you too much). I started hacking laps upstairs in the indoor track, and left running 8 miles a day. The weight machines are all legacy, but the gym is fairly exclusive with an indoor and outdoor pool, towel service, as well as mouthwash and body spray. It was here that I entered the cult of the gym... I don't go to concourse anymore but I am still do a crunch or two every now and then. read more

My only experience with the Concourse Athletic Club was as a guest of the Westin next door. Their gym was undergoing renovations. For my purposes, the gym was great. Lots of weight machines and free weight. I'm sure it get's busy, but my workout was mid-day between meetings so it was pretty empty. Some of the equipment is slightly dated, but if you're looking to lift weights or do cardio it is perfect. read more

Decent facilities, semi-friendly staff, some great folks, but sort of hit and miss. Mostly it was really convenient for us and has a wonderful day care facility. The staff there were so nice and our baby loved it! But upon moving, the membership department is completely tone-deaf. Would not cancel the membership, continued charging us after we canceled. Had to contact credit card to dispute the charges. Extremely disappointing. Not really a "community" that we want to be a part of. read more

I was not thrilled with my experience at the Concourse. I loved the pool and amenities, but these areas were filthy. The showers, bathroom, and lounge were disguising. Some of the exercise classes were a joke and did not provide genuine cardio. The classes were at inconvenient times. I was not impressed with this club. read more

Long ago, I have been here to check out an Aikido class. And recently, I came here for In It To Thin It event with the Yelpers. Just like the other Athletic Clubs here in metro Atlanta, this is a fancy-smancy gym. This is not a cheap gym. You do pay for all the luxuries this gym provides. Look to pay $100-200/month to join this gym. The locker rooms are nice. You don't have to bring your own lock here. They have electronic key-pad locks. I like that. They also provide razors, toothbrushes, and other toiletries in their locker rooms. For the facilities, they provide racquet ball courts, a basketball court, a weight room, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, several group class rooms, and so on. When we came here with the Yelpers, I got to try some of the classes they offer. We tried spinning, turbo kick, and yoga. I liked the spinning class. The instructor gave his instructions in a clear manner and seemed like a great teacher. He showed us how to adjust our bikes to fit our bodies, and gave us great motivation and didn't want to torture us. The bikes in the spinning class have pedals where you can lock in with cycling shoes. If you have those type of shoes, you can lock in. If you don't, they have bikes with straps. So make sure you pick the right bike. I accidentally picked a bike with no straps, so my foot kept falling off the pedal. The Turbo Kick class challenged us good. The instructor gave off a lot of energy and unlike the spinning class, she tortured us. We only did 30 minutes of it, and the normal class lasts 1 hour. I cannot imagine doing it for 1 whole hour. Then again, I doubt we have to do it right after spinning class. So the fatigue from the spinning class probably added to the toughness of the Turbo Kick. The Turbo Kick is your everyday cardio kick boxing class. Except you do it to music. So you have to keep beat. If you're new to this, you're going to have to learn all the moves. And you will look like an idiot when you do it. But I liked the physical and mental stimulation this class gave. The Yoga class was okay. I guess I'm used to the more rigorous yoga classes. It seemed more meditative than physical. The teacher started singing to us, which weirded me out. I'm not a big fan of new-agey, hippy-inspired yoga classes. But I guess it comes with the territory. But after Turbo Kick and Spinning, I liked laying around and doing nothing in the Yoga class. But I wanted to stretch out and bend around. Overall, the Athletic Club is a top-quality gym. They have high quality facilities and teachers. There's even a restaurant inside the gym. I didn't get a chance to eat there, so I can't comment on the food quality. Of course, like I mentioned earlier, you will pay for all the luxuries here. read more

Concourse is a gym that seems to be geared to senior citizens. It isn't a family friendly gym, especially the locker room and pool area. They say they have family locker room, but it's basically a makeshift bathroom with a lock which is on the opposite side of the gym from the pool. If you have a child of the opposite sex over 4 and they need to use the restroom while at the pool, only place to take them is on the opposite side of the building. Your only other choice is to send a five year old into a locker room filled with dozens of naked strangers--that just doesn't seem safe. It is difficult to find towels at the pool area, used towels lay on lawn chairs for hours without being cleaned up. Therefore, you don't know if a chair is taken or the staff is too lazy to clean them up. If you are not swimming laps or in their water classes which are designed for the elderly, there isn't a place to swim. The indoor pool is currently closed for construction. I came with my family to swim and was immediately told we were not allowed to swim because a class was about to start. There was not one small corner of an Olympic sized outdoor pool where we were allow to swim. As we were leaving I spoke with a manager and she confirmed, there was nowhere in the pool where we could swim. Terrible customer service. read more

I love how people hate on this gym just because its expensive... In reality it's not that bad if you ask what discounts you're eligible for. I was able to get a discount because of a corporate discount with my office and was also eligible for an under 35 discount. This brings the price down considerably - I was also able to negotiate for no contract. Good luck doing that at an LA Fitness. As for the gym itself - the staff is great and the machines are all top notch. Almost all machines have the Nike + iPod integration and all have personal TVs. Best of all - all the machines actually always work! Coming from LA fitness this was a shock to me; I felt lucky to get a machine there that was in full working order. They are constantly upgrading (I think the weight room and locker rooms are next) and they have both an indoor and outdoor pool. The trainers and spa staff aren't pushy and they have a very reasonably priced restaurant and smoothie bar on site (convenient for week night work outs - can grab dinner on my way out). Haven't used the tennis courts yet so I can't speak to the ALTA elitism - but the pools always have plenty of lanes open. read more

As a young mid 30's something I decided I need to finally get into shape and due to proximity to my home that it was between Concourse & the new Platinum Lifetime. Overall the locker rooms are amazing & well kept up, stocked and the staff is fantastic I also am a big fan of the private steam room and sauna that you don't have to share with the opposite sex. I was really drawn to this gym for the year round (non chlorine) outdoor pool they provide and the masters swim programs. Both of which thus far have been fantastic. There are children but not running everywhere and all over the pool. BEST of all they are always respectful to the swimmers and when they have other classes they do not shut down the whole pool, instead they share with the class and the lane swimmers. The gym is surrounded by lots of glass so it gives it an open airy feel and depending on the day the range of ages varies 29-60. Wednesday's and Thursdays seem to be the busiest days. Since I go to work out and not pick up or be picked up its a perfect fit for me personally. There workout rooms are divided (unlike big open space concept La Fitness) so you will have a room of treadmills/circuit training -another room with all free weights and a 3rd room with elliptical, bikes/ ab mats. All surrounding the basketball courts. Upstairs there is a track which is usually quiet and a great place to go if your not into crowds and want to run in silence. Overall I am pleased with the gym - the only complaint I would have really would be the price. I feel that its worth about $99 a month - of course totally just my opinion ;-) (not the $123 they charge for the over 30 age group) ($87 for 30 and under - young professional - which was strange since I was right at the mark and didn't feel age warrants the extra $$$$) due to the fact that the gym is a tad dated but very clean & well kept and as Lifetime is right up the street and $133 a month for everything new, shiny and big. (masters is also an added fee but thus far I feel the quality of coaches warrants it - so no complaint there) After doing my trial at both gyms I decided on Concourse. For me it was 2 key factors: the pool and the staff. Lifetime felt like they were selling me on EVERYTHING, I came to workout not be pitched too. And the parking situation at Lifetime was a bit creepy. Concourse tends to have quite a few security people and i noticed them at night as well which was a pleasant surprise. I've also become a fan of the clothing/fitness store they have in house. The lady who works it is always kind, sweet and helps without being pushy. The quality of items is fantastic and while not cheap everything I've purchased has stood up to washing and wearing. They keep it fully stocked, organized and fresh with up to date inventory. As I am training for a tri I'd love if they left their spin room open even when no class was in session and or added power meters to the bikes downstairs. I haven't tried the food yet but if it tastes anything like it smells then I'm sure I won't be disappointed. read more

i recently joined the Concourse Athletic Club and I like it. It's been almost a year since I canceled my LA Fitness account primarily because I found the gyms to be too busy AND too busy to drive to after work. Not being able to get to a machine when one wants to work out presents a problem, right? So far during my visits to the CAC, it's been mostly positive things: - Bigger facility than LA Fitness with its indoor track on the top floor (each rotation is about 1/12 of a mile) - Lots of treadmills and ellipticals on the top floor and bottom floors. I prefer the top floors because there's more light and a beautiful view of the lake/pond between the King and Queen buildings. - Racquetball, squash courts and a large basketball court - Towel service - Masseuses and personal trainers are available - A working steam room and sauna which are at higher temps - Saline indoor/outdoor pools including a saline whirlpool in each locker room - Variety of classes which I have yet to attend but they range from yoga, cardio, spink kickboxing, and kettlebells. Classes are limited, but I'd be curious if they're better taught than LA Fitness. -Indoor bar and cafe as well as a smoothie/juice bar -Self-locking lockers My primary concern was cleanliness and this gym is definitely better maintained than the LA Fitness franchises I've visited. This gym is probably more comparable to Lifetime Fitness and is probably a little more expensive. However, I went with this gym because I got a 0 enrollment fee deal and it's close to home. I like that it's exclusive so there's hardly ever a crowd. I'm looking forward to working out here and ending my workout with time spent in the sauna. read more

Some people say this is the nicest athletic club in the metro. I don't agree. I will however praise the staff all day long. The general manager and the membership staff are very, very good. Unfortunately, the club is rather dated and in need of some refreshment. The locker rooms are carpeted and have family friendly areas as opposed to having a private changing area or a family locker room. Would you really want your young daughter in a men's locker room or would you want your young son to be in a women's locker room? Of course this wouldn't be an issue if we were in Sweden. But, ahem, this is Georgia. I'd advise everyone to be extremely careful when coming into contact with the carpet in this gym. You may just end up getting a gift that keeps on giving. Equipment is divided into many, many sections. There are mini cardio zones around the indoor track (some are ancient and a glance back into a bygone era), a few under the stairs and a weight room looking into the basketball court and gardens. The location and scenery are lovely, but you're here to work out and not waft through fields of poppies while daydreaming out the windows. The indoor and outdoor pools are good. The outdoor pool isn't always well kept--or it could just be that the landscaping isn't maintained well. The outdoor pool remains open and heated year round, so as long as the temperature stays above freezing. That is a nice touch. No other health club has a year round outdoor pool. Parking is complimentary and this is an area where you wouldn't have to worry about wandering hooligans peering into your car for valuables. The front desk staff are always cheery and welcoming and it feels like checking into a 1990s Marriott in Connecticut. Wallingford comes to mind... Jaja. With your corporate discount, the price isn't all that bad but consider that this is just a single location with benefits carried over to some other club nearby. I didn't bother checking it out after seeing a few photos. It looks like 1980s Holiday Inn. Check it out and see if this works for you. It didn't work for me. I got to try out The Concourse Athletic Club with other yelpers for a yelp event. During the event we got to try three different group fitness classes. The classes were spinning, turbo kick and yoga. The instructors: What I really liked that the instructors provided you options to scale the activity to fit your ability and showed it to you during the workout. This made it possible to dynamically adjust the workout to fit your needs, a very important feature in group class settings in keeping the workout challenging to the novice as well as the master. The Classes: I really liked all the classes! All the activities were new to me and I was a bit apprehensive since the activities are out my wheelhouse. Like I mentioned the instructors did a great job of providing scaling options and made it easy to follow. Just to note, I've never had so much fun looking as ridiculous as I did during turbo kick. The facility: The overall impression of the facility I got was very positive. Their new locker room with TVs and customizable lock combination lockers were pretty cool. Also, guys, they have everything one needs for a shave in the locker room including disposable razors! A huge plus for me is that they have an indoor track! Overall: I'll give this place 4 stars because what I saw I liked but can't give it the fifth star because I'm not a member and cannot comment what the place is like on regular basis. I'd always heard good things about this place...turns out they're all true! I came here for the first time for Yelp's In It To Thin It session and enjoyed every single sweaty minute. The saltwater pool is heated year-round (the only time it's not open is when the weather is below 32 degrees). If I worked in the Perimeter area, I would get a membership just to have a pool to lay out at during the summer time. Oh yeah, and there's a bar with Sweetwater on tap! We took 3 classes: Spinning, Turbo Kick, and Yoga. All our instructors were fabulous. The staff here was so accommodating and the epitome of Southern hospitality. I wish I could afford a gym membership here. It's more than an L.A. Fitness but the investment would totally be worth it. Maybe one day I can enjoy that heated saltwater pool. read more

I would give this negative 5 stars if I could. This club reminds me of Brittany Spears; pretty and rich, but no substance. For instance, their tennis program is administered very unfairly. During the weekend (especially Sundays), 6 out of 7 courts are continuously reserved for special members (= are members of ALTA in match play). The one other court is reserved for private lessons. DO NOT JOIN IF YOU WANT TO PLAY TENNIS ON THE WEEKENDS THERE. I REPEAT DO NOT JOIN IF YOU WANT TO PLAY TENNIS ON THE WEEKENDS THERE. TRY SANDY SPRINGS TENNIS CENTER, IT'S MUCH CHEAPER AND YOU ACTUALLY HAVE A CHANCE AT GETTING A COURT PLUS THE LESSONS ARE GREAT. My suspicion is that the ALTA members are all doubles players and that the visiting teams are probably not members of the club. Therefore, they have to cough up 30 clams ($15 each). Multiply this by 6 courts and four hours, and you can see why the club gives these players "priority". It's all about money. Their sales office is also not very good - they knew we were joining primarily for tennis and they made NO MENTION that the courts would be continuously booked for "special members" for 2 months a year. (By the way, all "regular" members must book 3 days in advance) Otherwise, the classes (yoga, pilates, etc.) are extremely crowded. So if you want to take classes, be prepared to bump into the person next to you. They need more classes - again, it's all about money. These cost-cutting measures wouldn't bother me if we were not paying top dollar - over 200 big ones a month. It grew more and more obvious that this place is all about making the almighty dollar and not about customer service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

This gym is a joke. Membership is down since COVID and most likely because people realized how poor the management company is for this place. You'll spend a ton of money for a constantly dirty gym and locker facilities, broken and outdated machines, trainers who are miserable, and classes taught by washed up instructors. Save your money and head down the street to OneLife for a much better experience, a very knowledgeable staff, and great rates. No one knows what's going on here. The sales department is a bunch of pushy lunatics, they'll lose your paperwork and charge you fees you don't owe. Just go on a tour, no one is there. Everything is dilapidated. There's a reason why. Convenience is the #1 factor for me when selecting a gym. When I got a new job in Sandy Springs, I switched from my good old standby Fitness 1440 (http://www.yelp.com/biz/fitness-1440-atlanta?hrid=DURqkAgt0cF7Iit-BBCFMQ&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct)) to the Concourse Athletic Club. While the gym is certainly MUCH nicer than Fitness 1440, it is way more expensive by about a factor of 9x. For me, it's not worth the additional money, but its personal preference. I'm low maintenance and don't care about too much about the nicer things. For you, it may be worth the extra money. The gym is 3 levels and essentially built around the basketball court in the middle of the club. The ground level has the locker rooms, cafe/smoothie shop, studio (for classes), basketball court, free weight room, machine weight room, and cardio section with elliptical and bikes. The 2nd level has another studio, a spin studio, squash and racquetball courts, and a couple of pieces of stair machines and bikes. The 3rd level has the indoor track, more elliptical and bikes, rowers, and a couple of other pieces of cardio equipment. There also are an indoor pool, outdoor pool, and soft tennis courts. The pools are used frequently by people swimming laps and fitness classes. The outdoor pool is heated so there are people swimming outside in the winter time when its cold af which I think is cray. Pros: * The facility is nice, well maintained, clean, and the equipment is nice. * The group classes (included with your membership) and instructors are awesome! I never really thought I'd do classes before I enjoyed, but I do a couple of week. Marianne leads a killer kettle-bell class on Sunday morning and Dominique shreds my abs Wednesday evenings in the X-Press Abs class. If my legs aren't too sore on Tuesday from Sunday's kettleworX class, I'll drop into to get my butt kicked by Geraldine's Insanity class. * Locker room is fantastic! You don't need to bring anything from home except toothpaste and toothbrush. Showers, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, combs, and hair dryers are also provided. The locker room also has a hot tub, steam room and sauna. * Other members are respectful as you'd expect at this price point. Cons: * Expensive af, but I will say you do get what you pay for. * Free weight area is cramped. I'm surprised at all the negative reviews! I've been a member of the Concourse for 6 years now and I enjoy it. Yes, there are a lot of older people that are members but that doesn't bother me. During the week, it's practically empty. The classes are a good size, especially in the morning. But, it does get busy on weekends and the yoga classes fill up quick so get there early. And the room can be cold because the previous class is usually Spin, so bring a jacket. But, I have had no trouble getting racquet ball courts or tennis courts on any day of the week. Also, I'm on a doubles tennis team for T2 and as far as I'm aware, the Concourse does not charge the visiting team for guest passes. In addition to all the athletic equipment and classes, there is a restaurant and bar, a full salon and massage therapists. The restaurant is pretty good but does get busy at lunch time. The massage therapists are equally good, but I'm partial to another therapist elsewhere. The pool is usually overrun by children during the summer but there are two pools, an indoor and outdoor, if you are looking to do some laps. And once the kids leave, it's relaxing the sunbathe next to the pool. There are multiple clay tennis courts but some of them are near the highway and the noise is pretty annoying. But, I'd prefer to play on clay than a hard court so I can't complain much. There are also several squash and racquet ball courts that are always available. Reservations are supposed to be made in order to play, but I've never had a problem with just showing up to play some racquetball with out a court reservation. The machines always look empty and there are lots scattered about the building on different floors. Likewise, the indoor track is usually clear. The locker rooms are huge with rows and rows of lockers, a bunch of sinks, showers, bathrooms. There's also a steam room, a sauna and a hot tub in the back of locker rooms and a door to exit to the pools separate from the main entrance. It's always clean and there are always tons of towels available. I've never had a problem here. And I like it. :) read more

Ok, so being an avid gym bunny, I decided to take a stroll into uncharted territory. My trek led me to this ultra fancy, ultra swanky athletic club, I had to pay $5.00 since I belong to their cousin gym, ACN, but I gladly forked the dough over, since I know I was going to be for a memorable gym experience. Au contraire mon ami, memorable it was, but for all the wrong reasons. I got slightly lost in the labyrinth of lockers in the rooms. All in which, was severely dated, I swear I was in 1984. Albeit, at least it didn't stink like corn chips, and 10-day-old crotch rot. I then made my way out of the maze of lockers to the weight-room- and boy was I shocked! The room is cramped full of machines/weights! I sat down at one of the chest benches and literally had to fold my legs while working out my chest, because in the way were 10 other machines. Ironic because on the floor right above are cardio machines spaciously placed (maybe because the median age at the gym were in their heart-attack years). Only sampled a quick lunch, cant really speak to facilities, though they seem to have everything you need, local folks spoke highly of this club. Had a Southwestern Salad, lots of mixed greens, black beans and few pieces of chicken, I do mean just a few. Flavorful and tasty, but it certainly could have had more chicken. Another local firm, Chick-fil-A has a lot more chicken in their salads than this one did, but the location is convenient to folks in Perimeter Center. read more

I have been a member there for almost 5 months. I think everyone has different views when it comes to what they see or like here. I can say being a member of LIFETIME for years those facilities are tear but their management is very low class and unprofessional I pay more money there and it's not worth it. This club concourse IS ALWAYS CLEAN, members mind their own business and very few times you run into ones that act like the members in lifetime. Wow, what a facility! This gym puts my little mom and pop 24 hour gym to shame. I'm here for the Spinning Instructor Certification and I did it! Eight lovely hours stocked full of amazing information and heavy rides! (Thanks, Martha!) Had lunch courtesy of the juice bar on the bottom floor. Try the homemade protein bars too. Delicious! Complimentary passes for Westin guests to a very nice athletic facility. I normally go to the box gyms and this definitely is not a standard box gym. There is a sense of service from the staff members and the overall feel of the gym is that of a private gym. The clientele is definitely a stark contrast to most of the members at box gyms too. If I lived in the area, I definitely would consider joining a gym like this. Unfortunately, there aren't many gyms (if any) like this in my neck of the woods. read more

I've been going to the Concourse for a few years. Yes, it's expensive. I can do my thing without being trailed by trainers and bugged by sales staff. Now that it's been a few years, I'm on a month-to-month membership. I can quit anytime, which is unlike any other experience I've had with a gym. I consider that a BIG plus. Another plus is the sauna, steam room and whirlpool in the locker rooms. So, while it's expensive, I definitely get what I want out of my visits. I always leave refreshed and relaxed. The day's frustrations have melted away. I love the steam room!!!!! The outrageous membership cost that keeps rising with each "improvement" to the place signals the end of my membership very soon. This is causing great emotional withdrawal symptoms in my psyche. I won't miss the membership dues. I will miss my experience there. To each their own. read more

The first gym of many that I've been to that I actually like. Chalk full of amenities including towel service. The smoothie bar is a must! Haven't tried the food for macros reasons but will give it a shot one day. My only gripe is a few "bro science" douche bags in the weight room that never re-rack their weights. read more

I was previously a member of the club in 2016-2017 and loved it. I had to leave because I moved jobs. It is now July of 2019 and I wanted to rejoin. I had a guest pass previously provided by their sales director at the time, Rachel. Rachel no longer works there... such a shame, because the new sales director has coached their employees to be extremely pushy on membership. I had an awful experience with Lindsey the sales person. I went in with my guest pass ready to see how I felt back in the gym as well as see new improvements that may have happened since I left 2 years ago. I spent 30 minutes with her answering questions and letting her know my workout needs. She presented pricing and asked how soon I was willing to sign up. I was not given much time to make a decision, it was now or never. I gave her all of my contact information and told her I would decide by the end of the week. I was ready to go workout and she came back and told me they do not usually allow guest passes, anymore but did I have a referral or anyone I knew that may want to join so that my guest pass was useful. I said that I didn't think so. She then asked my fiancé's full name and I told her his name reluctantly. This was after I said he didn't like to workout. She said she needed some name for her sales director. At this point I am feeling immense pressure and regret keeping my guest pass all these years. She goes back to her sales director then comes back out and tells me they do not approve my guest pass!! After all of this. This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a gym. What a waste of 30 minutes and they absolutely lost my potential membership. The old concourse experience was ten times better and I would not recommend even testing out this gym - such an stressful experience and I'm extremely disappointed in what I experienced from their sales team. read more

I have been a member at Concourse for more than five years. My family went to Concourse solely for enjoyment and some exercise (swimming, playing basketball, or running around the track) in the past, which was around five years ago. We took a break from the membership for about three years, but recently, we became members again. I am a competitive squash player, and the facilities are the closest to our home. Rob Wilkins, the squash pro at Concourse, is unbelievable. Over the span of the past two years, my family and I have become close friends with him. He is professional, incredibly skilled, and supportive. Since he moved in to Concourse, he has almost "revolutionized" the squash program at Concourse, and even the southeast. Within the first two weeks of transferring, he has cleaned the court walls and flooring, and changed the lighting. To say that the court quality has improved would be a massive understatement. Although he is a squash pro, he even changed the racquetball court lighting, which shows how magnanimous he is. He has added US Squash box leagues, team leagues, jump-started the junior program, and has even incorporated junior sponsorships to qualifying players. I cannot say enough about Rob Wilkins. Concourse as an athletic club in the whole is also great. The equipment is all relatively new, and they recently redid the basketball court. In addition to the racket sports, they have an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, which are both heated, and an array of different weight machines. The track assumes the entire third floor, and running around the curves of the track gives a gorgeous view of the lake next-door, and the swimming pool down below. Their locker rooms are carpeted, and very clean. All in all, Concourse is one of the best athletic clubs in Atlanta. read more
