I got the razzle dazzle breakfast sandwich (I believe it's a special for February!). Usually it comes on a jalapeño cheddar bagel but they ran out. So I switched to a spinach Parmesan. It was good! I think the flavor combination was interesting! Bacon, cream cheese, hash brown, raspberry jelly... I mean I'm a big fan of sweet and savory! But I've had better bagel sandwiches before. I think that's my problem is that I've had some insanely glorious bagel sandwiches so this one doesn't meet that unfortunately. I think the bagel itself was fine. Good texture! But i will come back to try that jalapeño cheddar!! You can tell this is a well loved establishment because they ran out of almost every bagel by 12:00. I managed to find a table and my drink (a simple strawberry lemonade) was brought to me first, followed shortly by my food. Pricing wise, the restaurant is as fair as it gets, two bagels w/meat and coffee no more than $15 bucks. Now for the bagels, my favorites had to be either the Spinach & Parmesan, with Turkey & Bacon or French Toast, with bacon/egg & hoeny walnut spread. Came here on a work trip. I arrived around 2:30 PM and when I walked in, nobody greeted me, and nobody acknowledged me which I thought was kind of rude and already said the tone. After a while, I was finally greeted at the register and when I tried to order a coffee drink, the employee said they didn't have any more coffee which I thought was odd because it was still an hour and a half before the shop was closing... I saw the employees cleaning and putting things away and to me it felt like they were just cleaning up so they could get off early. I think that's very poor customer service and if your sign says open till four you should have your products available until close to closing time at least. read more

Came here for breakfast and had a wonderful meal. They have great breakfast options and a good amount of beverages. The staff is super friendly and helpful and made great referrals. I had the bagel & lox special (sprouts, cucumber, lox, chive cream cheese, everything bagel) and requested for the bagel to be extra toasty. You know how a good, local bagel shop makes life 10 times better? Well this morning my life just got a heck of a lot better after I went to Olde World Bagel for the first time. It's in the strip mall by Target and I must have driven past it a hundred times but never knew it was there. I came in this Sunday am (Mother's Day) and it was super duper busy. I waited in like for probably 20 minutes since it was all the way down the restaurant! But I figured everywhere else would probably be just as busy. You can choose from a variety of sweet or savory bagels, add a spread or have an eggwich or other kind of bagel sandwich. I saw that there was a French toast bagel that I really wanted to try, but sadly they were out of a lot of bagels by the time I reached the front. I decided to go for savory and I got an Eggwich on sun dried tomato bagel with herb & garlic cream cheese, tomato, onion and sprouts. Man, that thing was HUGE and I had to use so many napkins in the process of eating it. The cream cheese flavor I got was hard to detect amongst the myriad of veggies, although the flavor as a whole was amazing. The egg especially is so fluffy that next time I think I will either do just the eggwich or cream cheese and a bagel. I enjoyed every bite and the steaming hot americano was the perfect thing to wash it down with. I sat at the coffee bar and it's got great ambiance and allows you to see all that's going on. Maybe the best bagel I've had in years!!! I travel to Colorado Springs once a year on business. For the past two years, I've been meaning to stop in here for breakfast (I love a good chewy bagel!) but haven't had the opportunity. Today was the day - and let me say, I was NOT disappointed!! I had a breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg, and American cheese, although they had LOTS of meat and cheese options) on a sesame bagel and it is perfection. The bagel is large and most importantly, CHEWY! I hate bready dry bagels like you get at the grocery store or Panera....even Einsteins. It had a substantial amount of sesame seed on top and bottom. I also got a cranberry orange bagel for tomorrow. Very excited because that's one of my favorite flavor combinations. They had a BLT on the menu that sounded awesome - bacon, lettuce, tomato, Boursin cheese and avocado. Might try that later this week! Service was friendly and quick. Breakfast Sammie and bagel (no spread) was $11.58 - so a good deal on top of it all. I'm not a coffee drinker, but they seem to have a large delectation of coffee drinks / flavors available as well. When my name was called, my order was held hostage until a worker started yelling at me in front of the whole restaurant " Why did I start a new line?" What what are you talking about? We made it a point to stop on our way south until we learned that their bagels came from Olde World Bagel so clearly we needed to head to the source of the deliciousness! We have since moved to the springs and it was an all around bad freaking idea.... we're way too close to great bagels! So now we eat bagels a lot and when you stop in, you'll get it! At the moment, they're only allowing 5 people in line at a time so there's often a line out the door so dress warm and know it's worth the wait! You order at one side of the counter and pay at the other. They have a rewards program for things like coffees and egg sandwiches. Their bagel selection covers pretty much all your cravings! My personal favorite breakfast is a jalapeño cheddar bagel (not spicy at all) with veggie cream cream and a sausage patty. Their cheese topped bagels are a crowd pleaser as well! This place has declined steadily since it was sold. The new owner doesn't understand its clientele. Who wants to go somewhere for their lunch hour and wait 20 minutes in line. When Ken ran the place you could get in and out in 2-5 minutes. Now lines are out the door. It is not because the food is better and more people are showing up. It is because service is terrible. They do one order at a time. The last two times I went in I left. This time, the service at the register was so slow the lady was taking a phone call while ordering. The good Bagels are also usually sold out. I don't expect this shop to last the year. It probably won't last another 6 months. I suspect if it wasn't for the wholesale business set up by the previous owners, it would have already gone under.
