She didn't speak much (which I prefer) and when she did, it wasn't much English (which is okay with me) but she was very kind. The space is very cute and spacious but intimate at the same time. The salon offered an array of services from nails, wash and sets and even extensions. Cons: I'm pretty sure my natural curls are done for. My hair is natural and I haven't gotten a wash and set in YEARS. I usually get a silk press and even that's been a year and half since my last one. I went in and asked how much for a wash and set with a trim. I was told $65. That's way better than the $120 I spend on silk presses. Long story short, the lady blows out my hair wet. Now I didn't stop her because I figured that's how they did "natural hair"; just like a silk press (wash, blow, flat iron). Once she finished blowing my hair out she asked if I wanted a trim.. lols mod course. Once she finished the trim it seemed like she was done.. I was concerned so I asked her to bump my ends and pin curl it Ahmed she did! Not a problem. Overall I really enjoyed the experience I just wished they had given me the wash and set I asked for and been more transparent if there were unable to treat my natural hair. Would definitely recommend to others with the "right" hair type for that treatment.

Unfortunately extensions is not an option because the hair was cut choppy from the top of my head. Everyone is shocked that it was a haircut done by a licensed professional instead of an at home experiment. I even went to a beauty supply store to see if I could buy a wig or some kind of hair topper and the employees were so sympathetic and asked if it was a haircut done by someone who hated me. I cry almost every day. I can't leave my house without some kind of hat and I'm starting a new job soon. My confidence is at an all time low. Please learn from my mistake and NEVER walk into this salon. They clearly employ unprofessional people.
