Great food at a great price! The focaccia bread is an absolutely must! In fact, bread + cocktails is worth it alone. The bread is perfectly toasted and it's sliced thick so the inside is still soft and moist! The pastas are great as well! Al dented, toothy pasta with perfectly seasoned sauces. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, not tough and chewy, it was cooked through but soft and elegant. We'll be back!!

I love meals at Olio. Impeccable service, food, beverages and ambiance. No notes. If you love a cozy local vibe with fresh made pasta and delicious cocktails, Olio is the place for you. The place is tiny, the vibe is Cheers but elevated food. And let me tell you, you'll never have a better espresso martini or olive oil ice cream. Best affogato I've ever had! Perfect spot for a girls' night out or romantic date.

I've been hearing about Olio for a while and my husband and I finally made it there for a date night. The food was great, I loved that they had rotating specials also, because it keeps it fresh for those that want to go often. It is a very small venue, so I would definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. We were sat by at the window 2-top next to the bar and it did feel a little crowded, but not enough to ruin the experience. We loved both starters. The Fingerling Potatoes were on special, but they were husband's favorite part of the meal. For pastas I had the Casarecce which I was told is one of their most popular dishes and I can tell why. It has all the things you'd want in a pasta. Husband got the Paccheri and he liked it. Of course I had to get the olive oil ice cream, because anytime it is on a menu it is a MUST get.

Olive oil ice cream for the win and Hazlenut chocolate cake!!!

Olio - Bayport's Cozy Italian Spot That's Punching Way Above Its Weight Who doesn't love Italian--especially when it's all made fresh, in-house, and served in a space that feels like a warm hug with wine? Olio in Bayport, MN, is a hidden gem with limited seating, a sleek 10-seat bar, floral walls, exposed block, and buttery leather chairs that make you want to cancel your plans and settle in. It's quaint, chill, and exactly where you want to be when the pasta cravings hit. What we ordered (and crushed): * Burrata & Sourdough Focaccia - rich, roasted grapes meet creamy burrata with crispy pancetta and orange oil? Say less. * Fennel Sausage Marinara (Casarecce) - silky roasted garlic cream meets wild mushroom, and every bite screams homemade. * Veal and chicken Parmesan (Rigatoni) are both pan-fried to perfection. They are crunchy outside and juicy inside, with no sad, soggy crust in sight. They are served on pasta with the ideal al dente bite and just enough sauce to coat, not drown. * Grilled Sea Bass - flaky, buttery, with a perfect sear for depth. Light but not forgettable. * Hanger Steak - tender, juicy, and cooked precisely as ordered. That balsamic onion jam? Fire. Dessert lineup? Dangerous. All three were fantastic, but the Panna Cotta with red wine cherries and hazelnut crumble stole the show. Get it. Or better yet, get all of them. Drinks: We started with a dry cabernet and a rosé. They were solid pours and great pairings for the food--there was no need to overthink the wine list; they've done the curation for you. Quick Tips: * Get a reservation. It's intimate and worth the wait. Final verdict: Bayport just landed a new heavy-hitter. If you're not already talking about Olio, you will be. This is going to be one of those spots locals claim they knew about before it got cool--you've been warned.

I have chased some of the best Italian all over the state of MN and Olio has moved to the top of my list. This smallish Italian bistro has unbelievable food, a relaxed vibe and a staff that helps guide the way to an amazing dinner. We had wine paired with our starters and main items and began dinner with bruschetta, Caesar, and the burrata and followed with three pasta dishes, Casserecce, Rigatoni and Pacherre. Each pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauces, mushrooms, meats were heavenly! It felt like i was in a cafe in Sorrento enjoying dinner with the family. Reservations are a must - stay for dessert sea salted olive oil ice cream and a slice of chocolate heaven finished us off. I fell in lobe with Bayport and will be back in October!

Very busy, small place. Service was friendly and attentive. Drinks were solid, but not the star of the show. We had the sweet potato starter and each had a pasta dish, everything was incredible. We will be back soon.

What an incredible experience! We sat at the bar and were treated to exceptional service from the bartender, who made fantastic drinks and kept everything running smoothly. food was absolutely amazing--every dish was packed with flavor. The ambiance was cozy and charming, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Even some of the staff took the time to acknowledge us, which added a nice personal touch. We started with the Sourdough Focaccia which is a MUST. Seriously, just get it. 10/10. Next were the Brussels and the Carrots. Both were great but the carrots hold a special place in my heart now. we also got the Insalata which was great, I always need a salad with my meal. For the entrees we got the Rigatoni and Casarecce. Mitchell was our bartender and suggested the Casarecce. 10/10 you also must try this. For drinks we got the Espresso Martini, Daddy's Back, Italian Sour, Motor Spirit, & Tom's Night Out. Every drink our bartender crafted was a masterpiece--expertly balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You could tell they took pride in their craft, with each cocktail tasting just as amazing as the last.

Best New Restaurant around! Olio in Bayport outstanding! They have just opened but you would never know it. During the time they had pop ups in Hudson they must have worked out any kinks Three of us enjoyed a wonderful lunch today. I have Zero negative feedback The build out is so cute and the seating was comfortable. The serving plates & bowls are both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Greeting & service were impeccable Food was sheer delight!! Honestly every bite was just perfect. One of my friends had just been yesterday and we are all eager to return. So many things on the menu that I wanted to order! Best Wishes for a long and successful life for Olio!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Olio. We did not book a reservation, but were able to get four spots at the bar. The bartender was so friendly and helpful with menu and recommendations. We tried multiple cocktails and glasses of wine and enjoyed them all. Highly recommend the sourdough focaccia - toasted perfectly served with red sauce and butter. We each ordered a different entree and each thoroughly enjoyed. Finally, we had the olive oil ice cream which was delicious and creamy. We will absolutely be back!

Service was great the whole time we were there, prompt, smiles and kept checking on us…read more We went for just apps to give the place a try. The menu looked fun, on line. When we arrived we were seated quickly at a nice table in a themed Italian space. We had the Calamari, an the Escargot. And finished with a piece of their homemade Tiramisu. All were very tasty: Calamari was a crispy, well flavored rings (darn I like the little squid) with a good sauce. The Escargot were plump and the garlic butter they came with was delicious, used the bread (very nice Baguette) to sop it up an hold an Escargot! A finished with the Tiramisu which was everything a good homemade desert should be ! The only suggestion would be to up the presentation on the plate of both of the dish's; the calamari and the escargot But had nothing to do with taste, which was excellent.

The waiter and bus staff were great at getting our requests and being prompt with everything. The food was great & good. All of the food was served fresh and hot as it should be. They have a great house Chianti that is reasonably priced by the bottle. The filet special was out of this world awesome. Cooked perfectly medium rare, the cut was top shelf and flavor was incredible. The whole dish was excellent with the mushroom red wine reduction on top providing that blast of flavors that complemented a filet. I may get this every time if they continue to have it on the menu. The fettuccine alfredo was good. The pasta was home-made and cooked perfectly. The sauce was a bit bland and was missing something. Maybe some more parmesan, maybe just salt, not sure but while it was good, it lacked the big creamy flavor that alfredo should have. Chicken was very good, grilled and tender. So this one was "Good" The seafood special was another "Good" one. The shirimp was done perfectly but the rest of the seafood was maybe just a touch overcooked. The sauce was a cream sauce but like the alfredo it lacked just a bit of flavor that would have made it a superb meal. Many guests will love that we have a very good Italian place again in North Hudson as it's part of the heritage of the community. We will go back for sure!! CM

Before going into detail about the menu and service, I want to emphasize that I was disappointed by the restaurant's ambiance. I expected a more French setting, to do justice to its name, Manger. The walls were bare, the seats uncomfortable, and the chairs looked like church pews. I expected more French decor--at the very least, chairs in that style. Even a little French music, which is so lovely and romantic. The croquettes were delicious. I ordered the French fries and was disappointed--they were mushy and tasteless. The aioli was a nice touch, but the ketchup sauce was completely out of place. What I thought was very well prepared was the Trout Veronique. The flavor of the sauce and the clams was absolutely fantastic. As a connoisseur, I have to commend the selection of excellent French wines. It really bothers me when I go to restaurants that claim to be Italian or French but only have California wines. I have nothing against California, but as connoisseurs, we know there are many more options around the globe. I was amazed by the variety of spirits and the house-made cocktails at this place. The Old Fashioned, prepared by Erin, was absolutely delicious. Whenever I go to a restaurant that serves Crème Brûlée, I try it. I have my own Swiss recipe, and I've been disappointed before. That wasn't the case here. The dessert was prepared with the utmost delicacy and had a perfectly smooth texture. The caramel was executed with the precision of a great chef. The service is very professional, and you feel welcomed by their sincere hospitality. Erin is a true professional. See you next time.
