Came here for a lunch meeting based on recommendation from others. Weather was nice so we did seating on the outside lounge. It is fairly close to the highway so maybe not the best choice if the weather isn't beautiful. The service itself was fine. We got there right when they opened so a little confusion if we were able to sit prior from the host that greeted us, but we were told by another it was fine. As for the food, I had the fish and chips and the lobster bisque for a starter. I was very disappointed in the soup but the fish and chips did make up for that. Overall this is a good spot and I can see why people come back. A nice spot that isn't a chain that delivers some good food (assuming you don't end up with something like the bisque we had).

First time here passing through town lovely local restaurant which was very popular has full bar and outdoor seating Michelle was server was great we loved the fresh baked bread they provided the burger was huge and salad portions also

Stopped in after work for a small bit and drink. Amazed it wasn't packed. Nice music and ambiance. Food was ok. A little on the spicy side. When I imagine a MEZ plate, it isn't spicy. Still good though. Nice place to stop in to, right off the highway too.staff is friendly and patient while you make your decision on drinks and food.

I stop by Olio anytime I travel to Groton or Mystic. It's a homey and delicious bar restaurant. The food is non traditional Italian comfort food, made with fresh pasta and local ingredients. When asking for recommendations, our server suggested their most popular dish, the Lobster Linguine. Absolutely delicious. The chef also produces daily specials that are seasonal and inventive, plus their cocktails are equally creative. This place is not to be missed.

An adorable ambiance with even better food. Very classy lay out. Super friendly and attentive staff. Enjoyed one of the most amazing New England Clam Chowders I have ever had. Every different texture but absolutely delicious. Enjoyed a fresh fish and chips and IPA after the soup. The fish was perfectly cooked.

If Olio isn't on your list to visit- you must add it and get there ASAP! Olio is a lovely restaurant in Groton, with mostly Italian and American dishes. The cocktails are great- among our group we tried the espresso martini, gingerbread martini (seasonal), and several other cocktails that were all delicious. They also have an extensive wine menu and beer as well! We tried the mozzarella appetizer and the sauce was phenomenal! For my main, I had the penne alla vodka with shrimp. That sauce was also incredible! Our waiter was super attentive and lively with our rather large party! Highly recommend you check this spot out for a good time.

I love it and I always end up choosing new at least one new thing even though I have my usuals. I live just about 15 minutes from this place and I was always confused thinking it was just a buffet, which I found out it is on the weekends but you can order a la carte other days. I was extremely surprised to come by on a Tuesday only 2 days before Christmas and find the place pack and tons of to go orders. Everyone inside seemed like family and greeted us with a big smile. The waiter was attentive enough and brought us a bottle of water for the table which I appreciate it. We first decided to order a beer I love and new in the brewery industry called Rupee. I absolutely love the subtle spice flavors while being a very light beer. Then I tried for the very first time a beer called Golden Monkey. I was warned by the waiter that this beer was very strong (big smile); and it was. But the nicest coolest thing about this beer is how it tasted, I was doing a little dance and humming as I tasted it over and over. I can smell the clove and sweet spiced notes on this beer. It was a bit heavier but also so crisp, and boy did it hit you. It hit you hard (smile). Of course we only had one of these so that we can save enough space for the food. We order garlic naan and of course they also brought us some treats to snack on and I love that. We ordered the MM Kabab Sampler which was very tasty and was delivered to our table sizzling. We also tried the Lamb Tokari for the first time, this coconut and cumin sauce did not disappoint. And as usual we got Chicken Tikka Masala as well. We love this sauce. I only have to complaint that I wished it was dark meat but the flavors were excellent and we had every bit of it including the sauce. We had so much food we took a lot home for lunch the next day. Prices were very reasonable and portions were great. I loved it so much and have been telling my friends about it all week. I will definitely order from here again or come in for sit down dinner.

Currently docked in: Paris!…read more Wow. Truly a phenomenal dining experience all around and I'm very sad I didn't think to take pictures. We went for an early seating yesterday and bravely brought our 8 month old. This was already a bold ask because this restaurant doesn't scream children but port of call took it with stride. We were accommodated with a highchair and several staff stopped to say hi to our baby. (For his part, our baby was relatively chill although a loud babbler, and no tears which we would call a win). Now onto the product. Absolutely phenomenal. We were wowed from start to finish. Every single drink, dish, and dessert far exceeded our expectations. The happy hour menu is very generously priced and had several favorites off the actual menu, as well as some items which I believe are available all the time. Our server (I'm very sorry I can't think of his name) was fantastic and offered excellent recommendations to like drinks on the current menu based on drinks we said we usually steer towards. Every drink (we had 4 different ones) absolutely knocked it out of the park. This would be an awesome spot for cocktails and apps with friends but is also a superb full service date night spot. We can't (and won't) stop raving about port of call!!!

The restaurant was featuring a special Parisian menu, as their first "stop" on their port trips around the world, and it did NOT disappoint! We started with the escargot and fries plate - not something I would have put together, but the escargot was so rich that the fries really helped to soak up the sauce! Also, look at all those snails!!!! So much, a great value. Then, I had the duck confit and it was absolutely delicious! The skin was crispy, while the meat inside was tender and fell off the bone. The wait staff was also extremely attentive and so friendly! Overall - an absolutely wonderful experience and I am happy to see where they go next!

The place is very big, so if you are going with a group or family they have the space. There is a small awkward parking lot in the back, so mostly street parking. Arrived (party of 4) just after 5pm, took a few minutes to be sat, even though the place was empty. One bartender and one waitress. Received two menus and were told to scan the QR code on the table, seemed odd. It took a while to give our order, so we ordered everything at once. Wings, truffle fries to start. Scallop Risotto, Fish& chips, fried shrimp basket and caesar salad with chicken. Drinks arrived minus one because they were out of the whiskey, provided a replacement, but the drink never came to the table. Food was ok. The fried things were very tasty and well made. The wings were nice, tender and good sauce/flavor. Truffle fires were good, little heavy on the truffle oil, but tasty Scallops were prepared well but the "risotto" was more like rice pilaf. The caesar salad was nicely dressed, the added chicken was grill to as close to raw and still be "cooked". It was very soft and chewy - that was pushed to the side. If you go, stick to the bar, brunch, apps, or something fired. I think this place is good if you go when they are fully staffed or something. I would happy choose someplace else if I were in town for a show.

A brunch experience you definitely want to arrive hungry to!!…read more I went to Sunday brunch at Sift bakery and I cannot wait to come back. You pay a flat rate for the food where it is a buffet style and you get the option to choose from a full breakfast (hot meal). Our waitress was so nice and was great about checking in on our dining experience. We definitely ate our money's worth! We started off at the pastry bar, I enjoyed the guava and cheese danishes & a mini chocolate croissant. Their spinach and cheese danish was also so tasty!! Then made our way through the charcuterie bar where there was an assortment of fine cheeses and meats, as well as the option for a fruit parfait which my friend really enjoyed. Finally, our favorite part of the buffet was the raw bar (which we could not stay away from). The oysters and clams were so fresh and cleaned exceptionally well- their mignonette was one of the best that I've had! The last 'course' of brunch was a dessert tower!!! I cannot wait to dine here again in the warmer months, this was epic.

If you can't handle stairs do not come. The website's statement regarding it's accessible patio was not accurate. It looked like one existed but it was closed and they were not seating people there. Sometimes mistakes are made, and websites are not updated... but, my niece had confirmed via phone that this patio was accessible. We were completely blindsided. Members of our family ended up just going back to the hotel because we were a party of 14 people on graduation weekend with no other options. Furthermore, There were only two bathrooms and they were on the first floor. If the patio had been open, these bathrooms would not have been accessible for anyone with mobility issues sitting on that patio. And there was a line, and no soap in one of the two bathrooms On the good side, the dining room was pretty and open air. It was a nice atmosphere and the waitstaff was good. But the food was expensive, and disappointing for the price and the hype. The onion roll in the bread basket was fantastic, and the sour dough was ok, but I didn't love the weird unchopped ceaser salad with discs of bread and parm. It was just frustrating to eat even if the flavors were good. My husband didn't really like the buccatini. I can't really speak for anyone else in our party. It was really going to be a high bar to make up for members of our family having to leave and not being able to celebrate with us. It could probably be a great place if they just got their act together. Other things to keep in mind are that parking in this part of town is beyond insane.
