Sometimes it's all about the food. Parking lot was packed and you could get a sense that people come to sit and visit over great food. Music sets the mood to escape and forget the outside world and care for those within. Nothing fancy needed. It took a few minutes to order because so many many dishes we hadn't eaten before! John chose a kabab and I chose the gyro platter. They were both very good! My platter was piled high with gyro meat and all the fixings. Maybe too much rice on the plate and definitely could lessen that and increase the Tzatziki sauce!! read more

O&L is my favorite lunch spot of all time. Always good kind service, amazing food and quick turnarounds that get me out the door and back to work. The gyro meat here is, IMO the true star, and when paired with their fresh lettuce, tomato, red onion and sauces it truly shines. It offers the right balance of pepper, hint of spiciness, alongside a nice crisp savory meatiness that can only be achieved on a proper vertical spit. My extra piece of advice, is get the spicy green sauce on the side. It offers that little extra jalapeño oomph alongside their creamy tzatziki and it's a perfect balance. Bit expensive to dine here for lunch too often so I try to keep it to every few weeks, but what a treat it is when I do allow myself to eat here for lunch. 5/5 goodness guaranteed! read more

I went with a friend at 515 on a Monday night. Although this location gets a lot of take out, they have a great space to sit and eat. They have a decent parking lot for that area of down, but I could see it getting packed on the weekends. They do take reservations. Food 5/5: I had the hummus to start and a chicken bowl with garlic sauce, house salad and quinoa brown rice. The chicken was moist and flavorful, I did ask for an extra garlic sauce(so worth it!!). The sauce comes in a small container, and I would ask for extra if you really like sauce. The hummus was so flavorful, the pita was warm and fluffy. Overall I was impressed with the flavor and overall seasoning of everything. Service 5/5: our server waited on us right away. All the food was fast and correct and our server was very friendly. Ambiance 4/5: it did get pretty loud in the restaurant, so I could see this being a downfall if you like quieter places. Overall plenty of tables and space. I'd love to see an option to upgrade to a salad for their main entrees, even if a small charge! read more

I had one of those unexpectedly memorable restaurant experiences at Olive & Lamb last week. I was meeting a friend for lunch when I hit a pothole nearby and blew a tire. I pulled into their parking lot while figuring out what to do, and what started as a stressful afternoon turned into one of the kindest dining experiences I've had in a long time. First, the food was incredible. Everything tasted exceptionally fresh and flavorful. The baklava may honestly be the best I've ever had -- perfectly crisp and fresh with an amazing balance of walnut and cinnamon. Absolutely outstanding. Even my daughter, who later ordered takeout for dinner, became an instant fan of Greek cuisine after trying their food. But what really stood out was the staff. Since we knew I'd likely be waiting awhile for a tow, our server adjusted the pace of service perfectly and never made us feel rushed. Unfortunately, my tow service never showed -- even after two hours -- and my friend eventually had to leave. The staff graciously let me continue sitting at the table, brought me tea and dessert to help ease the stress, and treated me with such genuine kindness and compassion. My server even made sure my daughter was able to come get me safely while I was still waiting for the tow truck. It's rare to find a place with food this good AND people this thoughtful. I live about 30 minutes away and probably never would have discovered Olive & Lamb if not for the circumstances, but now it's absolutely a place I'll go out of my way to return to -- and recommend to everyone I know. read more

Had high hopes for this place but was disappointed. Came with a friend and we both love mediterranean food but this fell a bit flat. The feta fries severely lacked feta and had too many pepperoncinis. The fries were also soggy and lacked flavor. I got the lamb kebab, it was just okay, not my favorite so I would maybe try the steak if I returned. The tzatiki was good and so was the pita. The saving grace was the honey cake, quite good. My friend got a salad and a gryo, the meat was good but the gyro came deconstructed so it was basically a salad. Not sure if I would come back as there may be other better mediterranean places in the area but if I did I would get something else. read more

Certain things were good while other items fell short, I will say the gyro meat is delicious and that's to be expected with a Mediterranean restaurant. Sadly the the main thing I was most excited for, the gyro pita, came out deconstructed, open faced with no sauce, I guess they wanted me to put it together myself. There was a side of tahini but a smallish container. This isn't a huge deal but the gyro just didn't taste very cohesive, it was just like a chipotle bowl where the ingredients were stacked on top but no detectable cohesion. In my mind the gyro pita would have come fully prepared, wrapped, ready for easy consumption. What showed up was more like a salad. I actually also ordered a Greek salad with gyro meat, which in hindsight was funny because the only main difference was the salad dressing between the two items. My friend ordered the steak kabob (which she said was lacking flavor) and we split the honey cake (which is quite good!). I like the ambiance of the restaurant and the staff were plenty friendly ... perhaps if I come back I'll try something else next time. read more

Yummmmm! Met a friend for lunch and this little place did not disappoint! It's an old converted business-nothing fancy but really delish food. I had the curry chicken skewer and my gf had the falafel pita. We each had a Greek salad to start and it was fresh and tasty. My skewer was so fresh and the chicken was hot and tender. It was served on a huge bed of saffron and plain white rice. I asked for a side of tzatziki sauce and that complimented the dish greatly. My gf's falafel pita was stuffed with beautiful crispy falafel and fresh veggies. Staff was nice and courteous. I def recommend this reasonably priced Mediterranean restaurant! read more

Olive & Lamb is a Mediterranean quick service restaurant. You can order up front and get it to go, or sit and they will wait on you. The service was good, attentive and friendly. The dining room is an open space, yet feels cozy and comfortable at the same time. They have high tables for groups of 6 and plenty of tables for smaller parties. The food was good, but not great. The falafel was on the smaller side, but the spicy green sauce added a nice zip to it. The spanakopita was tad greasy and not a lot of flavor. The wings were on the smaller side, but with a bit of lemon and the green sauce, they were tasty. Our flatbread was probably the best thing we had, crispy and good toppings. Cute little restaurant, we came mid-day on the weekend and there were a lot of reserved tables for large parties so we were really lucky to walk in and be able to snag a table. Service was very kind and friendly, I ordered the beef kebabs that came with a side salad. We got an eggplant appetizer that came with pita bread that wasn't our favorite. With our dishes, we also got a few small containers of tzatziki that was the cherry on top and pulled the whole meal together. The kebab was moist and well seasoned, it was a huge helping of rice so didn't finish all of it but the veggies complimented the dish. Really enjoyed the pickled cabbage too! read more

There was a decent amount of off-street parking, the dining room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Two of us had the O&L wrap and the third a Falafel Pita. Loved. Easy ordering, sitting, and awaiting your delicious Persian favorite dish. Mine is almost always the same. Koobideh Kabob and Chicken Kabob combo. This to me is the best and first test for any new Persian Bistro or restaurant I try. It says all you need to know about the quality of the chef, cooks, recipes, and ingredients used. Economical food spot with solid tasty choices no matter what you choose! I wouldn't say that this place has spectacular food but the quality was definitely worth the price. You could get a lot of food for the same amount of money that you'd spend at a fancier restaurant and the food could be just as good, honestly. So to start, the hummus and the roasted eggplant dip were both excellent in the most classic way! My only suggestion would be that I would love to see more pita bread given. The spanakopita tasted fresh which was a pleasant surprise because a lot of times I would be tasting relatively sour or old spinach pies from Mediterranean food spots. The rice bowls and wraps were reasonably priced and abundant in quality no matter what I added! Amongst various combinations I have tried, my favorite was gyro with tabbouleh salad with quinoa brown rice and then tzatziki sauce. It was a big bowl and could easily make me full by itself. Dessert-wise, both the baklava and the honey cake were out of this world. They did not taste artificially processed and contained the right amount of sweetness for me to not feel like it was nothing but sugar, especially the baklava. Next time, I will try their lamb shank. I also got great service! Our server was courteous and efficient. We were going to order at the counter because upon first glance that was what we thought it was, but we were advised that we could sit down and they would come to us. Appreciated the move! read more

This was my pick for a birthday dinner and it is classy enough for that, e.g wooden tables with candles & servers rather than plastic "hurry up and eat" furniture. However, it is also set up for easy ordering for carryout. Luckily it's also not too far off my route home from work. I'm half Armenian, so any Mediterranean/Middle Eastern place gets compared to the family recipes. The Shirazi salad was a lovely fresh counterpoint in my brown rice & gyro bowl. I am also very happy brown rice was an option. The spicy sauce for the bowl & falafels was genuinely sinus clearing. The french fries were up to my son's rather high standards. 1st: I wanted to thank the staff for allowing me to order food after a long flight and arriving just a few min before closing. I was STARVING and craving my fav, Mediterranean food. I travel for work a lot and have been having a lot of trouble finding tasty food let alone variety. So as soon as I landed I looked up places to eat and drove over as soon as I could. 2nd: I was wildly surprised by the quality and flavor of food. I can honestly say this is one the top mediterranean places I've ever ate at. The staff made me a gyros bowl which is not something I would typically order but it was closing and I just asked them to make me anything that is already out with rice. The gyros was so tender and had such great crispy edges. The rice was soft and complimented the gyros so well. Bread was so soft. I only complaint was that I wish I had extra tzatziki and side of olives. I will definitely come back and try all the other kabobs and honey cake that seems to be rated so well. read more

Stopped by hear after a happy hour. I was in the neighborhood and had been meaning to check it out. A lamb shank sounded perfect to hit the spot. The place is clean and well lit. Inviting atmosphere. Menu on the wall and you order at the counter. The person behind the counter was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and helped answer questions. Once you order, they bring the food to the table if you are dining in. I ordered the lamb shank and a beef and lamb kabob a la carte. The lamb shank came with rice and au jus. Along with some picketed red cabbage and onions which were a great accompaniment. A small house salad is included with the order. The lamb was a little bit drier than I expected. Also not quite fall of the bone. The flavors were subtle and the broth helped with the rice to mix in. Overall it wasn't what I was expecting but not bad. The kabob was a little salty but flavorful and moist. Of the two, the kabob I thought, was better. Might check them out again but there are better Mediterranean places around town. read more

Oh well, will just have to come back ;) The gyro meat was delicious. Hubs actually got a platter of it, which was 1/2 a pound, which I said we could split. As a full-blood Greek American, finding Mediterranean food that I like outside of family cooking is tough -- but Olive & Lamb has won me over! The gyro is cooked so well -- definitely has the taste of gyros in Greece with how thinly sliced the pieces were. The beef/lamb kabob was not my favorite, however. It lacked the savory flavor and juiciness I'm used to. The proportion sizes are huge which is amazing because they provide boxes to have lunch the next day. I am a huge fan of Olive and Lamb, I have been here several times now and have order the beef/lamb gyro pita and the falafel pita. The beef/lamb gyro pita is by far the winner of the two. The meat is plentiful and flavorful. The pitas themselves are delicious and taste very fresh. The same goes with all of their toppings including the tzatziki. I just wish it came with more than a little tiny cup of it. Tzatziki is one of my favorite things in the world, so I always have to order a few extra sauces when I come. The falafel was kind of dry, I probably wouldn't recommend here, but definitely come for the beef/lamb combo and upgrade for the fries. You will probably be hungry otherwise and the fries are incredible anyway. read more

Delicious, well priced Mediterranean cuisine. More Persian than Greek. Everything was delicious, the beef impressed more than the chicken and lamb, but all 3 were very good. Sweet potatoe fried really surprised me, tasted amazing. We ate very well (family style) and fed 6 at about 18.50 per head. This includes appetizers and salads. Wait staff was very kind, however this place does seem to focus on take out orders which seems to stretch the staff a little thin. Doesn't take anything away from them, they were great to us! The rice was good. Handy soda fountain. The meat dishes may fare better. In the corner there were 3 tubs full of dirty dishes. This was around 3. Moved into the area and have been trying to eat my way to this place for over a year! So glad I finally ordered delivery! This food was so tasty and balanced, that I can imagine eating it fresh at the restaurant would be an incredible experience! This was the best takeout style meal we've had throughout the covid season! I ordered the Gyro Platter, Saffron Chicken Kabob, and some Falafels. The gyro meat on its own was perfectly seasoned, and the Greek dressing for the salad.. I could drink it. We slathered the white cucumber sauce all over the pita, and piled on the meat! The chicken kabob was tasty as well, and the meat maintained some of its moisture. Something that is hard to achieve with smaller bits and chicken especially! As for the sides, the rice was perfectly cooked and fluffy, and the bread was pillowy soft. Last but certainly not least, the falafels were nicely breaded and crisp on the outside, but soft and delightful on the inside. Paired with the spicy sauce, they were gone in seconds. In general, the fresh acidic flavors, creamy sauces, kickin spices, and different textures made this a winning meal! I drive past this place frequently, they have plenty of parking in their lot; otherwise, you might be able to find some side street parking. Stumbled upon this place while searching for local restaurants around area to support on Yelp. My partner and I were very excited to find a place with happy hour, but when we arrived, the plate we wanted to get was no longer served. There were still some other options though. However, I looked at their website today to write my review and it seems like happy hour menu has been taken off. We went around 3pm. I really liked the outdoor seating option, but since it was too hot, we sat inside. We didn't mind though because the space was spacious, clean, and well decorated. We ordered at the front. We got the O&L Feta Fries and O&L Wings from the happy hour menu. We also got a rice bowl (rice, gyro, garlic sauce, and tabbouleh) and beef & lamb Kabob plate to share. Portions were massive and presentation was excellent. Feta fries was unique and really good. The wings were good, but nothing too unique or different to us. I enjoyed the rice bowl a lot, but the flavors became one dimensional after awhile. I think we would have enjoyed it more and longer with a different sauce. I loved the gyro though! The beef & lamb kabob plate came with rice, small salad, and sides that helps cut through the oil. We preferred the beef to the lamb kabob for sure. Overall, we enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. We will definitely come again to try different combination of the rice bowls or other dishes. It's a solid place! read more

Typical neighborhood gyros place, one of many around town. Pluses: a little more extensive menu than some, good off-street parking. Minuses: my gyros plate was fairly ordinary, hummus is not offered as an option to my meal, $20 for the plate was a bit more expensive than most. I found his place via Yelp and decided to try it after a training session at a nearby gym. I was hoping for something a little special based on the reviews, but alas, that was not to be. If this is your local gyros shop you'll do fine. If not, IMO it is not worth a special trip. read more

They have a very full menu with lots of options so it is easy to accommodate picky eaters or food preferences. The vibe is very chill. We went for dinner so we had a waitress who took our order (great service) but looks like you could order for take out at the register. To preface - I work minutes away and have been meaning to stop by for a meal. I wanted to LOVE this place and honestly was worried it would be a very regular place for lunch, taking my money. A handful of coworkers and I went here for lunch - we had called ahead and they had very kindly had a table ready with water and menus, getting out order as soon as we were ready and refilling our water as needed. The space was welcoming, the music was relaxing and fit the vibe. I got a Med Chopped Salad with gyro meat (also comes with a side of pita) plus a side of fries. I totally was expecting excellence because I LOVE gyros and gyro meat and chopped salads. I was not as excited as I thought I was going to be. It was SUPER fresh and I was impressed, but the balance of toppings versus salad was not it for me. Don't get me wrong, I will for sure be returning and trying another item. The gyro meat was tasty, the tzatziki was perfect, I just could not get a bite that was YUM. It seemed just under a YUM factor. Again, I am not saying it was bad by any means. I just went in with high, set expectations and did not feel I got that. Will try again and follow up. Check this place out if you are in the area though - fresh, quality items.
