Food was great as usual. Service was mediocre. Note to staff, when a couple comes in and the man is large DO NOT sit them in a booth. It is uncomfortable. AND do NOT set them 2 feet to a table that is a couple with 2 children ages about 1 and 3 screaming at the top of their lungs, and then to hear the mother use the F word every other sentence was more than I could handle. We couldn't wait to get out of there. We love Olive Garden but really???? there were plenty of other places to sit. The greeters were nothing short of amazing went above and beyond to invite us into what we thought would be a great experience like Always oh boy was we wrong. We were in a back section for about 30 minutes with only maybe a table or two occupied by other customers and the Manager never came out to greet or ask about our experience not once however Daniel came out shortly after a few more Caucasian customers arrived he came out and greeted every last one of those tables that's surrounded me and my party of two. he went straight past us to greet them. His words not mine he only turned back around to see "why our red light was blinking on the tablet"! Daniel really made us feel uncomfortable and out of place. I really don't wanna use the race card here however I believe in this case it fits and it is what it is. The food was predictably Olive Garden. It was good but not exceptional. But a decent value for the price. I did have a few issues that left me feeling like I was being treated like a second class citizen. Prior to being seated I visited the men's room and I have been in gas station bathrooms that smelled better. It was as if the sewer had backed up and whoever cleaned up the mess did a very poor job. When we were seated we were shown to a back room where most tables had the chairs up and we were the only ones in the room. We were offered a small table right against the wall. After requesting a different table we were given another table. When our server arrived we ordered drinks and I asked to speak to a manager. After a significant wait and a second request, a manager arrived She seemed genuinely concerned about the state of the bathroom. However on our way out I visited a second time and it was obvious the the only thing done was to spray some air freshener around. The underlying order was still there As for seating we were told that we were probably seated there because their was a waitress assigned to that area and she was most likely next in the rotation. However no one else was seated in our area during our entire stay. So I am calling this response as less than reasonable. I am a 70 yr old white male who accompanied by a 75 yrs old white mole. We were dressed in jeans and flannel shirts but certainly did not stand out among the clientele in the restaurant. The food was great, the wait staff were a bit stiff, and this was the first time I had gone to a restaurant where there was little to no music playing for atmosphere. (If there was any, I didn't notice it.) I can't say I'm against the lack of music, honestly, but just that it was a bit different. I should probably mention that myself and my friend are particularly sensitive to change as well as social behavior. So a lot of this review is more so specific to this. So the wait staff: Upon entering, there was a waiter who was near the host booth who was up there to just... stand there and make guests feel really awkward and unwelcomed? I mean she didn't do anything outright to make my friend and I feel like we shouldn't have been there, but there was obviously something upsetting her about something she was currently dealing with. This wasn't exactly a huge issue in of itself but was later related. The host was very welcoming when she did show up, (it wasn't likely very long. Maybe 5 minutes max? I don't know it felt like a long time because of how awkward we felt...) The waiter that was assigned to our table was professional. I don't have many complaints. Just the breadsticks. It's been a very long time since we had gone to a restaurant in general since the pandemic, and Olive Garden is no exception to this. But previously we would be given five in the basket. We got three this time. We ran out of both breadsticks and salad and I had to ask for more breadsticks. There was never an offer of a salad refill either. The breadstick refill was two. So I asked for more because I was picking up on the strange stinginess of the "unlimited" breadsticks aspect here and got three more. I specifically asked to get five breadsticks to-go. I was brought two in a small bag and told that brought me up to nine and anymore and she would add to my bill. It was odd pettiness I'd never dealt with before. Olive Garden unlimited breadsticks and salad are the reason I ever go. The entrees are nice but you can never quite replace the salad and breadsticks. The waiter's attitude made me in particular feel as though we were interrupting whatever she was doing. But the way she told me she would have to add to my bill felt very...off? I don't know how to describe it... Which pretty much sums up the whole waiter experience for me. It's not negative. Just... "off." And maybe this is the normal now post-pandemic? I'd say that's enough though to take off a star. The two stars off was for the fake unlimitedness of the salad and breadsticks. This might just be because of Corporate Olive Garden - I don't know. But since this was the first time going to an Olive Garden and being served three and then two breadsticks on a refill... Usually we get five, and if we ever finish those five the next five we get we just ask for a to-go container for them. Because let me tell you that is a fantastic snack if you're hungry tomorrow. Which, corporate, if you're reading this - that's literally ONE more than the apparent 9 limit. Why are you being so darn stingy with breadsticks? They aren't *that* expensive, are they? And what about the salad?? I *know* you guys are aware your salad is amazing. Anyway, over all, the entree and food itself was amazing. And not having music blasting in my ears made for a more pleasant (if not maybe slightly too quiet) experience. But I think because of the awkward feeling from the wait staff here, I don't feel like I'll be returning to this particular Olive Garden. Maybe it was just an off day for the staff? Maybe they are being overworked or maybe management is unfair for them? I don't know. But it definitely made me feel uncomfortable paying a tip. read more

Sat at the bar for 15min and didn't even get so much as an acknowledgement from the bartender. Got sat at this incredibly tiny booth that literally could barely fit both our plates on it at the same time. It then took another approximately 15 min to get any sort of wait staff to acknowledge us again. It was exacerbating! The food was so incredibly subpar! Very overcooked and dry! I have been to Olive Garden twice in the past two months and it has been consistent.....they have a nice cellar, bottomless soup and salad. NIce selection of dishes from pastas, salads, pizzas, chicken, veal, etc.. I had the beef flatbread appetizer and I thought it was nice....crispy crust with nice pieces of beef on top...the onion rings were a bit on the soggy side and the balsamic drizzle was a bit too strong for my taste, but overall OK. read more

Chose here to visit with a girlfriend I hadn't seen for 40 years! We had a nice time sharing the soup and salad. The highlight was our waiter. He was learning to become a wine expert. The breadsticks were so hard so my husband asked for fresh ones and the waitress told us the manager was making them and didn't know how. she brought out more and they were still hard. What can I say, it's a chain restaurant. If you're looking for personalized touches in the food, you can't find it here. The hosts are very nice but the servers may vary. Some are rude while some really deserve a great tip. Even though Olive Garden isn't the greatest place to get your Italian food, it's still okay. Me and my friends went in with an hour until close. We ordered just a small 10 dollar pasta plate and it was taking a while so we asked to go and the manager comped it for us. Olive gardens is one of my favorite restaurant however I was disappointed in this particular one. As somebody already described "Most of my meals from here have tasted like they've come from a microwave, and have dried out edges on the pasta." So true! They have smallest portions so better order two things if you like to eat full stomach. Our waitress did not want us to be there, I guess that is why no free salad! I always thought Olive Garden's food and service was just ok....until I started going to this location. The greeter and waitresses are simply amazing!! High energy, friendly, accommodating, efficient. They are really good and aim to please. I go there whenever I'm in town, and I confess that I'm only ever in town at lunch time, so I haven't had the opportunity to check out a variety of dishes, but I'm never disappointed what I am able to order. Fresh and delicious every time. Only had one bad experience. That time we had a waiter, and he was definitely off his game. He seemed distracted, left us alone without salad and breadsticks for a long period of time, and I think he forgot to put our order in because we had to track him down to find out where our pasta was, and it was a long time after that before it finally arrived. It's a chain but this stop is as good as any others in that chain. I'm a fan of pastas and wine and this is of course as great a place as any for that sort of fare. I can't speak to the authenticity of the Italian structure, but the people there, in all staff positions, seem genuinely friendly and warm, which is something I see less and less in Findlay and Lima.
